I live a very short distance away from it, 10 minutes or less if traffic lights cooperate.
Only thing is that Long Beach has a small selection of carriers. If JetBlue is your favorite airline, then this is the place to go

So as far as shuttling people I think my van is full, or two vehicles may be needed. Assuming I am taking the 4 ECers to Bell's place as well as the Irvine people Xie and HF, we are pretty full and may still need to do 2 vehicles. My priority in giving ride to and from will go to my normal group as well as the current confirmed ECers, but thats it. All new people coming might need to find new carpools. Because there is a fair amount of EC going, I thought I'd make a short guide to taking care of EC pets.
- If you give us a game setup (doesn't matter what game), we only need to be fed once a day. We will survive off of the game's energy.
- Keep us out of direct sunlight. It's not bad for us in short durations, we just don't like it.
- Space is not an issue. We would replace the "sardines in a can" expression, but we're not popular enough.
- For sleeping arrangements a carpeted area on the floor is sufficient, but general human arrangements are preferred. A blanket during cold weather is also required.
- Warning: Bad things may happen during prolonged time without electricity.

I do not have enough spare blankets to go around. If you want a blanket of some kind, bring it with you. We can make a run to the stores here but it would easier if you got it in advance.

So who is bringing what to this throw down?? As of now Bell has I believe 2 monitors and 2 large std def TVs. With all the poverty games that will be taking place we will need a lot more setups.
Need more setups:
-Bring laptops as usual, loaded with mbac/iamp/blitz
-Std dev TVs (decent sized ones, tiny TVs hurt the eyes)
-Might need more ps2's, preferably HDloaders/swap magic for HnK, FUC, and bring extra copies of GG (and/or 3s, CvS2, MvC2, BSX, etc)
-Need ps3 and HDTV setups (at least one, if Bell doesnt get one) for HDRemix and SF4

Winner takes the shot to "supposedly" make it easier for us mortals to beat them at iamp, or blitz respectively. Usually just makes them better, and us try harder to get them drunk, but we'll see how it goes.

Hello friends. AM5 is this weekend, and I would like to remind you of a few things!
The weather looks like it is going to be sunny for Fri-Sun, and rainy on Mon. There shouldn't be any problem with things getting too cold/rainy, if people were thinking of bringing umbrellas or whatever.
Bring alcohol or a $5 entrance fee to cover for supplies/food and my birthday present. thx
House rules:
1. Take your shoes off inside.

Thank you all for coming to AM5 and making it a family-oriented and clean event. Here is the rundown.
+ Korean BBQ was godlike even though we killed it
+ Good seeing everyone again
+ Got a lot of games in both sober and drunk
+ Leveled up my drinking game
+ Even with the headcount it wasn't too cramped so future AMs will probably be good to go for the same number of people
+ We got a noise complaint but later I found out it was from people hanging out in the backyard; once the windows and doors were shut everything was cool and I checked with the neighbor today and he said it was no problem
+ No problems dropping people off despite near last-minute panic over MBread being down
- Very disappointed in myself for losing last second to Jiyuna in SF4 when he gave the match to me
- Related to that, Abel/Guile is really bad and I was not ready for it on 4 hours of sleep, apologies to Xie
- Some of my walls got scuffed from people moving shit and the futon
- Ceiling was leaking due to An Incident which hopefully is not going to happen again
- Being stuck in 91 traffic for 2 hours on the way here; next time we're doing pickups and dropoffs before noon
