Okay guys, here's an important post.  With NCI right around the corner, I urge you to do the following:

- Pre-Register (if you haven't already)
- Start organizing your rides and withdraw some cash from your local ATM for MMs.
- COME EARLY!!  Registration closes at 11:30am

I don't mean to be rude, but we need to get you flunkies registered and ready to go!  So in case you haven't seen the full schedule, here it is:

Open Door Registration (Includes Pre-Registration): 10:30am - 11:30am

Lunch Break: 11:30am - Noon

- BBCS Group #1 Dinner Break: 6:00pm - 7:00pm

Tao, could you confirm if I have to be there before 11:30am even if pre-reged in order to sign up for cs? Just need to make sure on when I need to leave.

Important post about Pre-Reg and On-site registration.

You must be there before 11:30am regardless of whether or not you pre-reg for BBCS, GGAC, or MBAA.  The pre-reg will only seed you into the brackets.  On-site registration, with payment, will enable you to participate in the tournament.

So, for GG/MB people, you guys can come to the onsite registration and grab some lunch outside.  There are plenty of cheap eateries to munch on in the middle of downtown Berkeley.  Remember, NO FOOD ALLOWED SCRUBS!  If I see it, I will take it away!

dinner break happens whenever i feel like eating dinner. melty isn't gonna take that much time to finish anyways. closeby eateries... just mickeyd's? yo i hear berkeley has some good food...

question: when does the venue close and how long will we be able to stay there

Brazil Cafe is very close.  Right on same block as Eudemonia I think.  It's a small operation, but their tri-tip steak sandwiches (as well as other items) are pretty damn good.  Au Coquelet is also close by down University just a block or two.  There you can actually sit down indoors there and get some nice American style dishes.  They're also open late.  People go there for late-night study sessions sometimes.

I know some other places but they'd be getting to be not nearby, but if you don't mind walking for 10 minutes or so there's a bunch of good restaurants at and around the Asian Ghetto up Durant.

Btw Daka I'll still be going, but since my not-so-kickass "stick" that lured me there won't hold itself together I cannot play Melty.  I hear there'll be HST though.

PS.  Why don't you ever join #MeltyBlood anymore Daka =(  We've only all but abandoned the game!

Lol yeah I don't blame you Dakanya.  You should come join our rizon offshoot, #TheCat'sBell.  Even less MB related but noooot completely.

I highly recommend Gypsy's in the Asian Ghetto if you at all like Italian food.  Very nice prices, and they have great pasta and calzones.  Steve's Korean BBQ is also good if you like meat and a lot of it, but ever since Mexicans took over it's slid down in quality a bit...  I still go there to eat often though.  There's a myriad of other places there too, but I'd say those two are my top picks.  I guess Top Dog is an iconic Berkeley hot dog shop, but you have to kinda order a lot to get full there.

I didn't want to end the stream, but we had to clean up.    All in all, I learned a lot by hosting this tournament and I'm taking all our mistakes into account; MB and GG will be given double the attention it deserves.  They are, after all, the main crux of what made NCI to what it is today.  I hope you guys won't be discouraged and continue to show support.
