Evolution 2007: Official Schedule (http://www.evo2k.com/finals/schedule/)
Location: Green Valley Ranch, Las Vegas, NV - Evolution World 2007 BYOC Room
Day 1
Friday, August 24th
MBAC Version: PlayStation 2 (v.A2)
Starting Time: 7:00 PM
Entry Fee: $5
Prizes: 70/20/10 for 1st/2nd/3rd
Rules:
- Double Elimination, 2/3 matches.
- Neko Characters are allowed.
- Bunker Cancels are allowed.
- No programmable controllers (especially involving directional motions) are allowed. All in-game hotkeys are allowed. Turbo is not allowed to be activated on a controller, and will constitute an intentional infraction. This applies mainly to characters who benefit from this, i.e.: Sion Eltnam Atlasia, but also applies to aerial recovery for all characters. Protective adhesive tape to cover turbo functions will be provided free of charge for controllers with this feature.
- Pausing the game, verbal (non-physical) harassment(direct or by proxy), or a false equipment call is grounds for a Yellow Card infraction.
- Physical harassment(direct or by proxy), sabotage of equipment, intentional cheating (i.e.: turbo controls) or performing the above after a Yellow Card warning is grounds for a Red Card ejection(subject to review). Red Card ejections are permanent and constitute a ban from all Melty Blood-related activities for Evolution's duration, and will also be reported to Evolution Staff.
- A game malfunction will result in a reset of the current match from the beginning. Score will be retained.
- Controller Settings must be completed during character introductions and before the first round is announced(characters may move freely during the announcement phase). If it is too late, the match should be restarted unless both parties consent to proceeding.
Special Notes:
- Guilty Gear is 2:00-3:00 PM.
- PS2 station donators receive free entry into the tournament.
- Alongside the PS2 stations, MBAC ver.B PC stations will be available on-site for practice.
Day 2
Saturday, August 25th
MBAC Version: PC (v.B)
Starting Time: 7:00 PM
Entry Fee: $5
Prizes: 70/20/10 for 1st/2nd/3rd
Rules:
- Double Elimination, 2/3 matches.
- Neko Characters are allowed.
- Bunker Cancels are allowed.
- Backgrounds will be set to Normal Display. If there is an unfavorable advantage (i.e.: Nero + Prairie Stage), a background repick is allowed.
- To prevent cheating, no use of the keyboard will be allowed in-game.
Non-game-freezing errors (graphical glitches or slight erratic behavior) may be reviewed by a judge.
- Controller Settings must be configured before fully loading MBAC's game mode.
Special Notes:
- Station Donators receive free entry into the tournament.
- Stations will only be accepted if they run MBAC at or exceeding 60fps. It must also offer USB connections, and have disabled unnecessary processes such as anti-virus, wireless internet and screen-saver. Also, S-Video output capability is preferred.
- Stations will have V-Sync enabled and MBAC to be set at High Priority processing.
- Station USB Ports will be overclocked to 500Hz to eliminate standard USB latency.
- Station displays will output to an external CRT (Monitor or TV) via VGA or S-Video connection to eliminate LCD latency.
- 3rd Strike will be from 12:00 PM to 4:00 PM, Tekken 5 DR will be from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM.
- There are some changes from PS2 to PC version. White Len is now selectable, certain gameplay balance changes are evident, and EX Bunker Cancels now require 150% Magic Circuit instead of 100%.

hi 5
-
i call dibs on donating a pc station for friday and saturday, just let me have a TV to hook it up to please.
yay free entry.
-
well my mac lappy will be be there (with windows installed duhhh), and I'd donate it but I don't like the idea of tweaking my usb ports, cause I don't want that shit to fry. But otherwise i'd donate it for a bit. This should be cool now I must figure out if I should practice akiha or just stick with kouma.
-
PC setups should also have the process set to high priority as it maintains 60FPS much, much better than normal priority.
-
I can bring a ps2 for ver a

MBAC doesnt depend on CPU cycles nearly as much as it does hard drive bandwidth. i've been testing these on as slow as 800mhz, and they do roughly the same, except when the hard drive is reading.

Just so there is no confusion, the MBAC b2 PC tournament here is the same tournament that is posted at:
http://forums.shoryuken.com/showthread.php?t=134564
The PC tournaments are one and the same. Feel free to discuss them in any of the threads. Donating laptops to that area also donates them to the MB tournament.
-
yay im going for sure now. only on saturday though, see everyone there!
-
i;ll enter ver B so long there are no conflicts with other things
-
I'll be donating my lappy to the cause on Saturday. Four USB ports and one 2 PSX slot USB converter with USB polling at 1 MHz.
-
and EX Bunker Cancels now require 150% Magic Circuit instead of 100%.
To clear anything up before it confuses anyone: the 50% includes regular bara cancels as well. So if you're gonna bara cancel into a backdash because your character has a crappy 214 move, or if you're just gonna bara cancel into a non-EX move, it will still cost 50% meter.
-
How does one overclock the USB-converters? :psyduck: :psyduck: :slowpoke:
-
Theres a sticky somewhere around here...something like pelican usb converter + tweaker thingy = godsend. I forget which section its in though.
