Since NRC is lame and only offering capcom games and T6, some of us in mb irc thought about throwing an mbaa gathering at the hotel during that time (since no one in norcal can really host, and hotel is so cheap). Jeffm even proposed the possibility of getting a suite at a nearby hotel for cheap or even free from his hookups. If the SF, SJ, and socal groups came together to play we would have a good number of people and it would be a fun weekend.

So AM6 in norcal?? would people come?

Norcal Regionals is scheduled 11/21-22

other than mbaa we would would/could have the usual bb/gg/hnk/poverty games/mahjong for you cool kids and PHO CHALLENGE!

Anyways it would be fun if this could work out, so post away with any comments/suggestions.

I said it in chat, but I'll say it here too. If this shit is seriously going down in norcal, I want to hitch a ride from someone in socal. I'll drive up to socal no prob, but beyond that is too much for me. I can chip in for gas money or whatever, I don't care.

yeah ill see whats up on the suites; i doubt that it'll be free though. i'm guessing there'd be at least about 15 of us, and i'm also assuming that only socal would be sleeping in (since these places generally only allow up to 5 per suite iirc). but yeah, a real head count would be nice too

So seriously, is there anyone socal that I can carpool with to this? I can drive up to socal, but I'm not man enough to make a drive any longer than that (also my old ass car would probably explode). I'll put in on gas and a room or whatever.

Yeah I want this to happen, and it shouldnt cut into my NEC budget as long as people help pay gas money to drive out there. I planned out my work projects to get everything done before Thanksgiving and to get that weekend (21-22nd) off. I also got the Thur-Mon during NEC off with PTO! hype!

Looks like this is going down, I got a pseudo yes from Bell and Jeffm going to make sure norcal peeps come. I will look into booking the room next week.
