Interface Gamer's Network will be hosting its second Melty Blood: Act Cadenza tournament on Wednesday, April 4th.
Tournament will be held on PS2, BYOC.
Rules:
* Double Elimination
* Two out of Three
* Starts at 7:00 PM
* $2 Cover Charge, $5 Entry Fee
* Prize Winnings are 70/20/10 Split
Also, I'm buying pizza to celebrate Melty Bread's 100-member mark! Woooo~

i can get a little headstart if i leave straight from work, but thats a 50 mile driving distance mostly on the 5 and 118.

IF is the brother/sister arcade of FFA.
It is a mix between an arcade and a netcafe
we are using my ps2 and it's usually for private use only.

If you can somehow avoid the 5 go ahead and do that, but you probably don't have a choice without a major detour. The 118 seemed to be great the one time I was ever on it haha.

this probably was addressed recently, but how does interface work actually? I know we're playing on console, and it's bring your own controller. Will there be other tvs if we don't bring them? and if I brought another ps2 how would that work, I want to play slash a little also.
btw fun casuals lina/zaido, we recorded the day before, so look forward to that in addition to the tourney matches.

it's in this small corner so it won't turn out that well.
especially if we have alot of people coming.
usually we have like 5-6 and its tough just to pass the arcade stick.

Hardcore? Yes. This is one of the two fighting games I've ever been serious about. Too bad there are shit for good Soul Calibur players here in Arizona.
I'll putter out there later this year when my local troops are more seasoned fighters.

Its not really structured for console playing, we just happen to have a little nook for us to play, so you'll be hard pressed to find anywhere to play slash :(

Actually, we plan on having console stations set up soonish, especially with the large Smash scene lying dormant here. We just have to work on making some secure setups.

Well, Midnight-Rules(tm) still apply, but during the day it'd be a $2/hr dealie like the computers. For tourneys it'd just be a flat-rate $2 cover though.

Learned A LOT of new things from Bell and Sleepy. Lina is a beast.

What an exciting tourney though, very close matches all day! I've said it a thousand times already, but I really need to work on my anti satsuki game. Leo schooled me. Maybe me and mason can play a long set in the next couples day so I can see what works and what doesn't, cause what I was doing today certainly wasn't working!
And thanks to all non local players for coming. Was cool meeting all of you, even the ones I didn't even get a chance to talk to. And thank you lina and brian for recording matches. I'll be looking forward to seeing them!

hey props to you guys, for hosting a good tourney, it was fun, everyone played a lot of mb, free pizza, and some interesting top 8 matches. I got to see some pro 3rd strike for it being my first time being at any FFA assocaited arcades. And Hdphnz was awesome on the mic, props to you. Arlieth good job altogether, Bell good job, amazing shit you put out there. JKD fun stuff getting so far, lina no less than expected (you're always expected to get top 3). and everyone else that attended and I got to know, good shit, you guys are cool competitive peeps.

Hey, man. Alone, practice your BNB strings to about 80% consistency. Then hit up max-level CPUs and get BNB string consistency up to 80%. THEN head out and get real practice through playing other people. I practice my BNB on new characters or develop new things at home throughout the week, then host MB practice on Friday and/or Saturday nights. It's just something that requires some dedication.

Fun times. I need a new stick, the SC2 was gone by the end of the night. By the time I used the HRAP I had already blew way too many combos, though I get a shining moment of clarity in match #1 of the grand finals. I recommend watching nothing but the last 2 matches I played for the inevitable videos.

I forgot my AC adapter for the camera there. I plugged it into the strip behind the TV 2nd from the left. Is there any way someone could help me pick it up and meet me half way or something so I don't have to spend an hour driving to get it back? =/
