That is the worst rule ever.

Why are you complaining about a rule that's been standard since release? Why are you complaining about a rule in a tournament you're not going to?

He has a point, I haven't seen that in the other threads' rules.

Both BBGXI and XII
The 38239783904784938 tourneys in Japan
Even though it didn't say in the rules for NEC or Winter Brawl people switched moon styles and no one said anything. At Final Round people were even asking if you could switch moon styles regardless if you won and it was allowed....this isn't anything exactly new.

Here I thought it was generally accepted that different moon styles were pretty much different characters.  With that rule, if you want to use an alt you're forced to maybe learn a style you dislike.

It did not occur to me that your character choice was locked either (At NEC and Winter Brawl), whereas by explicitly saying you can switch moon styles it is assumed that you cannot switch characters.

And now I will abdicate.

Why would you want to use an alt character if you're winning? Loser can do whatever he wants, naturally, but the winner shouldn't normally be concerned with playing a different character anyway.

Switching moons is a choice (like the other tournaments) and the winner can't change characters (like all other games). I'm unaware of any tournament rules in any game that allow the winner to switch characters.

It's weird that you're complaining that you can switch moons when you win, even though you can't change characters, then complaining that if you do win and want to change moons, you may be forced to learn a moon you don't like.

I'm just running with the community accepted rules.
