WE'RE BACK! It's time to announce the Biggest tournament on the east coast is back for another year! We got a brand new site for FR13. Goto the link to the the official dates of each game played at FR13 and rules. I'm trying to get FR more professional than previous years to get some sponsership hopefully.

http://www.finalround.org/

We will have an early bird online prepay preregistry ready by 8-1-09 for those that like to pay in advance. This will help us have more accurate #'s of how many truely plan to attend this event. For those that aren't sure that you'll beable to make it we will have the regular pre-reg list also. As always don't pre-reg if you aren't able to attend. We want to have the brackets completed the week before the event for every tournament.

We will accept walk up's to FR13 like always, but I advise everyone to prepay online so all you have to do is walk in and grab your badge and have fun at FR13. Prepay pre-reg also speeds up the sign in process and the bracket making process at the event so we can start ON TIME!!!!!!!
There will be no pre-reg in this site. The only way you can pre-reg is to do it on the FR13 site. Prepay and unsure pre-reg will start August 1, 2009 on the FR13 site. Everyone that pre-pays will be put in our database and placed in the brackets of each game they are competing in 1st. Then all of the unsure pre-reg will be put in the database as stand by untill they confirm they are coming. Getting everyone in the database is key to making the brackets early so bare with me please.

This will help the process of signing in at the event 100X faster imo. I want things to run fast so if there is a request for a side tournament MAYBE it can happen. The only way I would allow extra side tournament in the ballroom is if the majority of the main events are near completed or wouldn't slow down the main tournaments.

So it's on once again! Let the hype begin!

The Japanese PS2 version of Melty Blood: Actress Again will be used.
* The Original balance settings will be used.
* Default settings (except for quick restart and handicap being disabled).
* All characters are allowed except Archtype:Earth.
* Bring your own stick or pad.
* Free character selection by default; blind pick can be requested by either player.
* Player side (1P/2P) is to be determined by a coinflip upon request. No switching for the duration of the match
* Shower or bathe before the tournament.
* You can change your character at any time except when you just won a game (and, of course, mid-game/between rounds).
* All multi-button marcos

1v1:
* Double elimination bracket.
* Two out of three games for most tournament games.
* Three out of five for winners finals, losers finals, and grand finals.

2v2:
* Teams are to be composed of exactly two people.
* Single elim bracket.
* [[Depending on the number of entries]] I would like to divide the teams into 3 single elim brackets. The winners of each bracket would do a 3 team round robin final.
* Players are free to select any tournament-legal character and mode they wish at any time, regardless of what their partner is using.
* The format for the tournament is commonly known as "Waseda", where each person on the team plays one person on the other team. If both players on a team win, they advance to the next round. If the teams split the games, the winners of the first two games play each other to determine the winner of the set. (aka: A1vA2, B1vB2, winner of A v winner of B (unless they are on the same team))
* All sets out of the team tournament are only one game.
* If both teams can decide on initial match-ups, then they can be used. If no agreement can be made, a blind draw will be used.

Who do I need to speak with to get www.finalround.org put in your related gaming site link section? Huh?  I will put meltybread on our site links section in return. Wink

Also if you think you are going to bring a set up to get the free badge I will have a list that will keep track of those that stated they were going to bring a set up. There will limit # of set up's for each game. I just sent a message to my webmaster to update the tournament rules section. If it's not up now check back later today or tonight also.

Me and Ciel normally like celebrating at home, but Ciel's getting alone well with my cousin, Sion Eltnam Atlasia.  They fit well together.  I like having them placed next to each other to see the contrast of blue and pink hair.

NP sir, but I need everyone that is planning to attend FR13 to goto www.finalround.org and register to the site and pre-reg for what games you are going to enter.  You do not have to prepay to pre-reg but I would advise everyone to take advantage of the early bird special while the offer still last.  To get more info goto the FR website.

Thanks for supporting FR tournaments.  Just as a reminder I advise everyone that can do the early bird online pre-pay special to take advantage of the $10 discount from the door fee up until october, 31  2009.  Goto www.finalround.org to get all of the info.  If you're not sure you will be attending FR13 you can still pre-reg without pre-paying online.  All you do is register on FR.org and follow the directions for pre-reg.  If something comes up at a later date and you can't attend FR13 you simply can edit your own name off the list.  It's that easy folks.  So either way if you are thinking about attending FR13 for sure or you might/maybe attending FR13 you have the option to do both.

*ahem* I'm done...

You never seen me have you? Roll Eyes  I'm my own security sir, but we do have a couple of enforcers walking around. Cool

Here's a queston posed to me on  srk about the new badge prices for F13.

Quote
WOW! Did the prices for badges go up? I'll try to make it out to this but usually when I go to FR I only stay for one day. I see that a lot of the games roll over to Sunday (SF4 and T6BR). Hopefully I can make it out there and maybe stay overnight at my cousin's place or what not.
And my responds was this:

Only if you choose to wait to pay for your badge at the door will the door fee be higher. Right now the Online Pre-Pay is $25 Early bird special (a $10 discount) from the door fee that will last until oct 31, 2009. Then the cost of the online prepay badge will be $30 online pre-pay up until 1 week before the event. At the door sign up's will be $35 because it's a huge hassle and it delay's the start of tournaments with so many people not pre-reg'ing the old way. I've done some research and Most bigger tournaments or anime Con's have a higher door fee because of that same problem. Some events only allow online registry. So i'm trying to be fair by allowing free pre-registry and let you decide if you want to take advantage of the early bird discount or wait to pay more at the door.

They want you to sign up early so the sign in process time can be cut in half. We are going to a computerized sign in system for the pre-registering for f13. Even if you don't prepay for your fr13 badge you can still pre-reg for what games you plan to enter at FR13 at http://www.finalround.org to be placed in our pre-reg database! Pre-reg list is an very important tool for tournament organizers to gauge how many people are going to attend the event. I know people don't have the money to pay for a badge right away and that's why I had the pre-reg list seperated from the prepay badges.

The great thing is if you get to click onthe games you plan to compete in and if you can't make it you just edit your pre-reg list and leave all of the check boxes for games played empty! I'm trying to give you guys the option of pre-paying early or waiting until the day of the event. It's up to you, but regaurdless if you can prepay for a badge right now or not you can still pre-reg what games you want to play free of charge! Some events don't even allow you to sign up at the door for their event anymore.

With the new online pre-reg system we have on http://www.finalround.org it should make it easier for us to start the event on time. We are trying to get things started faster for next year and the main problem is getting people signed in and the brackets made. With this new system we can start the tournament closer to the posted starting time then ever before! We can't run final round ghetto style forever. I have to get more order/structure in running FR tournament and this is a step in the right direction.

Another question asked:

Quote
how do you pre-reg for FR and how do i get my badge cause i tried looking on the forums and site. i also signed so hope to see some of you guys there.

Once you register for the site you go back to the headline/main page for the site and you log on to that page also.  After you log in the option to pre-reg will pop up on the page.  You click the check boxes next to the games you wish to compete in and you are done!:china:  If something comes up and you want to take your name out of a game or 2 then you can edit those games out yourself!  This new system is so great and I would like to thank bobsmack for making it all possible.  I hope that helps everyone out and makes the pre-reg'ing and prepaying easier for everyone.

There is a prepay button under the pre-reg list.
