Thanks you guys, i really do appreciate all of you coming down here to this small con to help support our scene. i mean, im sick of being called 'norcal' when bay area and the valley is clearly in the middle. so i intend on starting a joint group, the bay/valley region, cuz i consider redding to be the marker of the norcal line.

but besides that, tournament wise it looks like we have about 15+ people joining (personal thanks to the people that are driving from SJ and bay area, greatly appreciated) for that day, so there really is gonna be some stiff competition. look foward to seeing you guys there and good luck!

Just wanted to say:
1) Thanks for letting me sign up, even though I was late. Idolo (I think that was his name) let me in. Great guy. Knew my cousin.
2) Tsubasa did surprisingly well with Hisui. I've never seen it done before, but hey, all that furniture breaking must rack up a lot of damage... or at least the bill.
3) My first round was, uh, filled with numb finger pressing. If my replay ever gets "youtubed", then be sure to post it here. It's a warning to rookies of what NOT to do. GG to my opponent.
4) That Arc player I faced, if you read this, fun game, man.

After getting beat on by Magz for about 20 matches in a row, I realize how I'm NO WHERE NEAR as good as I thought I was. Good stuff everyone. Thanks to Magz for putting up with so many matches from me and giving me some tips. I'm going to work on a lot of different stuff so I hope that I can do a lot better next time around. This was a damn good experience for someone like me who rarely plays outside of his own group and I hope that we can keep meeting again like this in the future.

The tournament was fun for meeting people and playing some games, but quite honestly I have to give it a NEVER AGAIN rating due to time restraints, PART OF THE POT GOING TO THE CON OWNER, and generally shitty rules due to said time restraints.  Con owner can go fuck himself, honestly.  Also, DDR players are otaku faggots that can go fall into a meat grinder. 

Overall, it was fun though and I look forward to actually learning the game and playing with everyone.  Once I get the hang of things you're all in for a world of hurt.   Sorry I didn't stay for casuals... but the whole lack of room thing + ghetto set ups didn't sound too appealing and I was pretty tired anyways. ^_^;  I also felt like since there were 14 of us coming into someone's shared house with roommates/friends over it felt kind of intrusive.

Tsubasa here.  a.k.a. that one Hisui player.  a.k.a. the guy with the Valkyrie Profile desktop.  Overall, the tourney was cool and there were some fun matches to watch, but hopefully we'll have some more time next time to do, say, double elim & sets of 2/3.  I also agree that the pot was underwhelming.

IHOP and casuals were definitely a lot of fun.  The mealtime chatter was good stuff.  The only regrettable thing is not getting to play more of you Sac guys @ casuals.  I ended up playing against Alt, magz, and Dakanya and it's not like I don't play them already. XD;
