Yesterday's tournament was just pure ass.

Probably the worst any of us have ever played.

Surprising that Spooky placed so poorly... but I do not think it's much to worry about. It was the PS2 version, afterall. Just hope that he doesn't consider not coming to West Toast because of this D:

I lost. It's not a big deal really it happens, just motivates me to rethink my playing a little. But yeah im not taking anything away form anyone here, I was losing to XAQ in casuals as well.

I didn't execute poorly or anything either from what I can see in the vids. I just got outguessed a lot.

This really was one of the most depressing tournaments I have ever seen. I'm not a believer in Hype(tm) but there was negative buzz in the air with this tournament. It felt like I was attending a funeral... and maybe I was.

I didn't execute poorly or anything either from what I can see in the vids. I just got airthrown a lot.

Fixed. :V

Two things I need to address now before they possibly get out of hand:

Sabin: I heard some of the things you said about me and I'm :(. I have no quarrel with you (except with some fighting game full of little girls  :V). Just because I freaked when you started grabbing me doesn't mean I think ill of you, then or now. I couldn't even hear you (I had my headphones on) and I'm paranoid as fuck, so when someone grabs me from behind out of nowhere yeah I'm going to start spazzing out. :\

Master Chibi: I've been hearing that you want to challenge me to a $500 money match. Well, you should know I would never accept such an endeavor. :\

I said $50, not $500, I don't know where $500 came from.

That's even lamer -- at least $500 was absurd enough to make people double-take. Nobody is going to give a shit about two replacement-level players playing for $50.

damian's habit of air throwing is something that he has picked up from playing gg.  we quit playing melty blood about two months ago because i told him the game was crap.  i didnt like the snobby attitude i got from you when i offered to travel to play you and engaged in a very one-sided effort to keep in touch.  we might have learned a lot together eventually, but it is of no concern to me now.  i suppose i was the only one who could see that.  if your scene dies, blame yourselves.

2 ciel's in the winners final... lets accept that shes broken and move on... also i use sj.c more than j.b, i learned to abuse j.c's clash frames a long time ago to deal with nero chaos's clash frames and it stuck... in fact anything i do is designed to beat clash frames or people who jump... in the last match i saved dashing 5a, 4c for the final moments to stop spooky from jumping but i try not to use it too much since its so scrubby... beats low parry, sets up throws, stops jumpers, chains into madness, does everything and more etc... also option select air parry/throw is too good...

mb at evo east? anyone?

If someone gets us a setup I'll run a tournament as long as it doesn't conflict with another tournament I'm entering.

Ciels not broken at all, she's just a popular character. If you have 3 ciels playing in a 12 man tournament it's easy for 2 of them to be in top 3.

Also dashing 5A loses to low parry. A attacks can be parried both ways. The real reason it works and why you should keep doing it is because it looks like a throw setup so people (including me) poke it.

I'm scheming something up...a Melty Blood Ranbat Masters Tournament!  (Nothing finalized, just ideaing)Right now my idea is something along the lines of right after the fifth ranbat, the top some people by ranbat ranks and the highest placed person or two at the tournament not at the top of the ranbat get to play in this invitation only free entree tournament.  Single elimination, one game, 3/5 rounds, and I'll put some money down for a prize.  Again, nothing is in stone yet, but I'll be trying to get something like this to happen.
