I dont think Arlieth has this one in the bag :P A team tourney might not be bad but isnt 3 v 3 a little excessive? Unless you guys get that many people normally. 2 v 2 might be a little better plus it would be easier for random people to make a team.

2v2 would be more practical. The past few we've had like...I think 25ish, which is close to 24 ie 8 teams, but still I say 2 person is the best way to go. I just like the team format personally, but I think it can get some people more confident about entering. Im down for anything though. Mason, I need some intense anti-satsuki training asap!

Seeing as how I want to come down and get some more matches in, I'm actually a bigger fan of just having 1v1 best 2/3 double elimination (as per Epic 2k5). Heck, round robin wouldn't be bad too (although I'm not holding my breath). It would let more people have more chances to play and more people to end up playing different people. Team Tournament on the side wouldn't be bad, then you could do 3v3 there...although I could imagine some rather unfair team setups if we go that way.
Besides...individual glory is always preferable to sharing anything.

So it should be clarified. Most people here seem pretty interested in doing 2v2, but what about the normal tourney? Are we going to have separate 1v1 and 2v2 tourneys, or will it be one or the other?
Oh yeah. I plan to bring a cushion and use one of those stools at IF to put my stick on. Will this be a problem, or will I need to put my stick in my lap?

We will be leaving at 1 PM and arriving near LA around 7-8 PM. Who wants some GOD DAMN MATCHES AT ARCADE INFINITY? If there will be at least two people to play us there, we will stay there for a few hours no problem. Any hotel recommendations at the time would be nice, too. Cheap = good :P
But yeah. AZ crew leaving at 1 PM, getting to AI at 7-8 PM, going to stay at a hotel for the night (or if anyone is willing to house four guys for the night, we'd definitely welcome the offer and play Melty with you :P Maybe even some monies!), waking up, heading to Interface and chilling for a while or exploring the surrounding area. I'm glad I finally made it out to my first MBAC tourney and finally got to meet the players themselves. It was a lot of fun and the turnout was really good. I'll be looking forward to the footage and the WT5.

Hey, good matches, I stepped my game up but I just need to get better. Once the videos are up I'm gonna watch my mistakes and correct them.
As usual I learned a lot from arly :teach:...and my bad for playing like shit during the team tourney.(I was nervous :V)
I lost the first match in the bracket, and I fucking left IF for a few, to relax and cool down...and get un-nervous, and came back strong
When west toast sbo quals hit next year for melty in the us...arly...I can try to make good on that promise, but first things first, back to practicing combos...again. Good matches guys, I look forward to seeing you guys at EVO world...possibly??
