When: Saturday, 12/29 to Sunday, 12/30
Games: Guilty Gear XX: Accent Core, Melty Blood: Act Cadenza ver.B
Saturday (Where we pretend to be SBO)
Guilty Gear XX: Accent Core Teams (3v3 SBO Rules)
Melty Blood: Act Cadenza Teams (3v3 SBO Rules)
Time: 7:00 PM
Entry Fee: $5.00 plus $3.00 Venue Charge (Covers Freeplay)
Special Notes: Machines will be on freeplay from 5:00 PM to 3:00 AM. Includes PS2/PC use.
(Almost) SBO Rules:
Three man teams, single match format, 'Pokemon' style (beat the team in a row).
No more than one character of each kind on a team. (i.e.: no Baiken/Baiken/Faust)
Double Elimination instead of Single (SBO uses Single). Pot Split is Winner Take All.
Sunday (Where we pretend to be EVO)
Guilty Gear XX: Accent Core Singles
Melty Blood: Act Cadenza Singles
Time: 3:00 PM
Entry Fee: $5.00 plus $3.00 Venue Charge (Covers Freeplay)
Special Notes: Machines will be on freeplay from 1:00 PM to 10:00 PM. Includes PS2/PC use.
Rules: Double Elimination, 2/3 matches. Pot Split is 70/20/10. I will consider making GGXX 3/5 Rounds if there's enough demand for it, but I don't know if that makes people wait longer for their games or not.

After seeing the results of WT8, I can safely say I'm not missing another one of these. Fuck, I'll walk to LA if I have to.

MB SBO was 2 man teams though not 3. I think it'd be harder to make 3 man teams too. I guess it might be more epic to have 3 man teams, but I think 2 man teams makes it easier to have an upset?

Would it be fine to put GGXX Slash on free play so we can have a silly ALL KY SANDWICH TOURNAMENT? It'd be single elim, everyone has to play Ky, free entry, and if you win we buy you a sandwich or a pizza. :V

i think the way the 3 man team work was like, if 2 team member wins out of the 3 they win right? that is kind of sad if one of ur team mate did really hard to win and in the end lose cause his teammates lose XD... but watever, i guess this is more fun ?? :V???

3v3 format is in "pokemon" style, meaning you have to defeat all of your opponents on the team, be it if it only takes one of you (for the OCV) or down to your last teammate.

oh, well i just remember somewhere i saw a 3v3 for MBAC was like they had each of the player in what order fight each other and the team with 2 players winning in it wins or something...

I will also arrive to Simi Valley a day earlier hopefully by Megabus if prices are affordable to make sure that things (like a PA system Arlieth :3) are set in order so it can be smoother, since I know Arlieth is a busy man, so if I can help things run smoother and easier then it can be all good.

It was gonna be on the 28th, but I rescheduled - it would have totally ruined my ability to play (jacked up on tons of painkillers is probably NOT good for motor skills and reaction time, not to mention I would be limited to liquid-like edible food substances :-\
Hopefully a bit over a week will be plenty of time to recover and get some practice in. I really don't want to miss this.

I checked the prices last week (for my group, still need to book that >>;) and it was about $70 for one night and 2 queen-sized beds. That room will wind up housing 3-5 people.
