I am being told that my vacation requests may be denied completely. That would be very sadface.

Because then I would be forced to quit my job.

I've been wanting to work part-time lately anyway, so this works out pretty well if I can find some other place that will hire be before I start school. As I should have almost $5000 in the bank before I quit... I think I'll be pretty good on cash for a while. WTXII is an event I cannot miss, no matter what.

Couldn't you just call in and hold that write-up to you chest? It's not like you're Mailorder in terms of facing termination if you miss another day of work. Hell if you're still clean you could now burn your sick time and have no repercussions.

I'd like to make a humble suggestion. Since team tourneys resolve faster than singles, have the singles for one game and the teams for the other on one day, then switch it for the next. That way, everyone's not stuck there til ungodly hours on singles' day.

I think a good reason why Arly won't do that is because the first day we find out who goes to SBO, then the singles day we know who to give the 50% pot to.

Arly is it $30 or $25 for the SBO QQs? (just curious).

Don't be stupid, especially with how today's economy is really shitty at the moment and it's difficult to find a job. West Toast XII is not worth it.

To be fair, he has other reasons for leaving his job.

That and where he works he would not have much trouble getting re-hired (provided that he left cleanly).
