'Tis not a troll, however, we do want to host it on Hallowe'en so we may enjoy the festivities with cosplay and contests.

We're planning to have a raffle with various prizes (including MB figurines, gift cards, etc.) and people who attend in costume will receive a raffle ticket.

We've yet to clear the details with the arcade owner (such as if we can actually hold it there - I think we will be able to, he wants to host tournaments - what system it will be on [i.e. AA or AC], and, most importantly, the tournament format), but we will, rest assured.

Instead of trying to push this for Halloween, how about have it on a Saturday thats more convenient for a lot of the people going to this especially the out of towners. Also, it'd be easier for myself and possibly spooky to fly out on a friday morning or evening than it would be to fly on a thursday afternoon right after work (Applies to me). I honestly don't want to spend almost $800 for a "tournament" that sounds more like a convention.

I can understand ironing out all the details and stuff, but wanting it on Friday because of Halloween REALLY makes the timing very sketchy.

Why not have it Friday-Saturday. We can do all the fun random shit on Halloween for people cool enough to come, and on Saturday we can do the SRS BUSINESS games that everyone is dying to play; I can run the Saturday event if shit is too tight for anyone else, but if I run it, it will be ~~TRIPLE~~ QUADRUPLE ELIMINATION.

Haha. Unfortunately, it's highly unlikely that I'll be able to go to this one. I have classes that Friday and on the following Monday, so I don't really have the time to make the trip down.

Looks like Friday will be a general Halloween party with costume raffles and MBAA wackiness at Denjin. Saturday-Sunday will be the main tournaments but I won't be running 100% of the brackets (Shogo will take over after a certain point).

Just remember: The more days you make this last, the harder it is for out-of-towners to stay for the entire event. I still wish we had a one-day tournament event and maybe a chill day before or after. Spreading this out over a long time means people have to take off even more from work / school, making it tough to travel and enjoy the festivities. Just keep this in mind when it comes to scheduling, unless you guys really want to keep it a SoCal-only thing.
