Unless Melty doesn't start at 5 PM, I'll only be around for friendlies.

Also, a couple of complaints:

Signups definately do not take 4 hours. Warmups can take 1 hour to an hour and a half at most (and I'm pretty sure I'd be using one of the more execution heavy chars) especially when you give an extra hour specifically for casuals. Try to get the ball running early.

The staggered tourney times are questionable. They should probably all start at the same time (though I understand the reason for the staggering). If people running the tournament is a problem, someone should step up and run it. Bring bracket sheets in advance.

The main problem I had last time was how unneccesarily long and behind schedule the tournament took. Once night time came, people started showing up, and it just went downhill. I had fun, but the tournament was not run well at all.

A better schedule could be like:

10:00 AM - 11:45AM/12:00 PM - Signups

12:00-12:30 PM - Bracket creation

12:45 - Tournaments start. (If staggered, make it 10/15 minutes instead of half an hour).

it took uneccessarily long  becuse you have one  cab plus ohter peeps playing other games...

i can do early start time.... but it's been like this  all the time...2-3 is fair start time for tourney...i  feeel 10:45 is a bit too early for out of towners

That wasn't it Nas, people playing other games are to be expected and to keep the tourney moving I just had another match play. The preparation was very bad last time, we didn't start until like 6 or something silly because Eric had to leave to get brackets (which I told him I could've made) along with him taking forever to switch it to freeplay mode. Having an earlier start time would also make for less interference with the general public.

Usually I have to get to C3 by 11 (from NJ) to get there in time for smash doubles. If you make the effort it can happen.

I slightly changed the schedule(partly because of L.K's rant, I realized that making brackets don't take an hour)

11:00am - 3:00pm - Signups/Casuals
3:00pm - 3:30pm - Bracket Creation/Casuals
3:30pm - Third Strike | Melty Blood Begins
4:00pm - Guilty Gear | Soul Calibur 3 Begins
4:30pm - Super Turbo | Arcana Heart Begins
5:00pm - Marvel vs Capcom 2 Begins

If you can't tell the difference between this one and the old one, don't try to lose sleep over it. Also the reason why I have a 4-hour sign-up period is because I don't want to rush the out-of-town guys that are REALLY coming out from somewhere far for this. Really, it's not that nice to ask for someone to be at the arcade around 2pm(or anything less than that), because for some it takes 2+ hours to get down here(Fucking Kayin is coming from the other side of the world to get down here).

If you didn't know already, pretty much last time Eric took the tournament from me and ran it the way HE wanted to, which I really didn't like. This time around I'm making sure that I'm doing everything myself, and that I have all the tools needed to get the tournament started when I show up. I'm going to have the laptop with the tourney software, and right now I'm asking that people let me know which games they plan on entering, so I'll just be able to check your name off upon paying your entrance fee. I'll probably be running all of the tournaments, so that everyone can chill out and play their games. It'll be really easy to find everyone for each game, because all the games are now moved into one general area, instead of spread far apart. Please understand that I didn't want to run the last tournament that way, but Eric forced me to. Not to say he wasn't helpful, but when you have two people who can make brackets by hand(Zaelar/LK), why would you run home for 1 1/2 hours and leave everyone hanging?

Also, I have that time schedule so people can fill their stomachs at a restaurant of choice before playing some muuutherrrr fuuuuckkingggg gaaeeemzzzzzz, man I'm so hype now

For anyone who doesn't browse SRK, the ST guys are getting a 5v5 going, PA vs. NY+Alpha. I'd like to see something like this in MBAC, if not for money then just for fun!

Also, just to put it out her for everyone who was already coming or planning on coming, GGAC is an official tournament now. It's gonna be held on PS2, bring your own controls.
