I just figured the stand was a spirit or something, rather than an actual person.  Probably should get someone to take a look at her profile to see if it says anything on the matter.  Same with Gordeau, for that matter, since he's a big question mark right now.
Orie's an orphan raised by a cult an organization striving for world peace called LichtKreis (Halo in Kanji :\ ) after her parents were eaten by UNREAL BLACK THINGS. She's also under orders from the organization to get "Amnesia". Or more info on it anyway.

"LichtKreis"? Is this supposed to happen in Germany, then? Or in Europe at least.

Probably Japan, it hasn't stopped them from using German before. See all of Warc's moveset.

Mentioned before, but that'd be an interesting name choice for Japan. All of the names of the revealed cast are based off of European locations/people or are of a European country's origin.

Still can very much imagine it being in Japan, though.

Another thing, I don't know of any places outside of Japan with this architectural style.

I don't think I'll mind, I like the way the stage looks.

This is the first time I've noticed that Orie leaves an after-image for that attack.

Personally, I think the stages are the weakest point, visually.  They look horribly dated and don't really have a visual style that compliments the sprites.  It's probably the only thing I don't immediately like.

Agreed, however I think the worst part is that they, much like a number of MB's own stages before them, appear so utterly lifeless. I mean, are we to assume these people are always able to fight in places where no person or animal happens to be nearby to watch the festivities? Nothing else EVER goes on while two opponents are fighting each other?  :laffo:

C'mon, FB. If your newest fighting game somehow makes SF2:WW's stages look absolutely vibrant in comparison, something's not quite right...

I'll admit that they aren't best stages I've ever seen. I'm used to BB stages, which are considerably more active than a lot of other FG stages I've seen.

Still, aside from the subway stage shown, I don't particularly mind the aesthetic of the backgrounds. I won't exactly be sad to use them.

To tell you the truth, for the brief period of time where I tried playing BB, the backgrounds actually really bothered me. They're really too vibrant. It's hard to see what's going on sometimes with all of that flair.

Personally, I'm fine with how the stages look. Just as long as they add in some stylin music to go along with it.  8-)

Heh, now that is something I definitely am looking forward to. MB ended having some nice hummable beats, so here's hoping UNIB will be able to continue where its predecessor left off.

If you wont play the new MB just die before saying it's over.

Lichtkreis, yeah. The hell?

Also isn't it hard to fight with pumps?

On another note, if they are going for a new soundtrack, they better make some catchy tunes, and rock. The last thing I wanna hear is some hip hop in this game. But guessing from the first teaser the music is going to be good. They might even have some things up their sleeve since they don't have to rearrange old tunes for Melty :V

Also I expect animations to be awesome.

It's very likely the same composer will be used for UNIB,so its set in that department.

On that note, I feel like mbaa had a pretty decent diversity of music genres in the soundtrack.  I wouldn't mind more from the same artist.

They had a2c on board for Melty, I don't see there being any issues with quality.

If they can somehow get him and Number 201 to work together on something I think we'll end up with godlike music.

Well #201 made also the OST for Ragnarok Battle Offline, which was epic.

Cristu I can't understand what you're trying to say, but if it's something particularly insulting or inflammatory, there's no need for that.

If no one understood then it might be my bad english, but saying "where it's predecessor left off" to me sounded like "MB is no more, UNiB will replace it".

If that's not the case I heartily apologise.

I believe this is a more correct way to say it.

At least, one interpretation of what was written.

I don't think UNIB will be the end of MB. I mean MB is a great fighter and I'm sure the fans will continue to play it AND UNIB. I know I will. I can't see myself dropping this game.

Yeah...definitely not what I had in mind. I meant more in the way of "continuing a trend".  ;D

But in any case, I'm sure Melty will probably stay around for a while. If nothing else, UNIB is looking to be an entirely different style of game from Melty, so I'm sure that will be more than enough reason for both games to be able to coexist alongside one another.
