I just hope it isn't BB all over again. "This game is pretty damn good......I miss Guilty Gear".
lol. Yeah, I'm kind of worried of that as well. They might not try to make it a melty clone though, and go for something different in core mechanics. Right now I basically don't have any expectations. I'm trying to keep open to whatever they do and see how interested I am after the announcement.
Well, I don't think they'll abandon every single thing from MB. After all, while this is a new IP, they're still going to want MB arcade-goers to roll over to the new game that eventually will be taking MB's place. And the best way to ensure that is to give them some thing relatively familiar to serve as a common ground, even as they may go in other directions for the overall "feel" of the game.
I guess in the end, what I want is something closer to how the Darkstalkers/Vampire series became its own entity from SF, by developing its own playstyle and mechanics, even though it does share a number of the same "Capcom fighting game conventions" as SF. If FB's new FG can do some thing similar, I think it will do just fine, without having to necessarily do what ASW did for that ("hateful") BlazBlue.
