DP more inconsistent
« on: January 26, 2012, 02:32:50 PM »
Let me do something nasty and compare MB to SF and to me it feels like that the DP input in MBAACC is a lot more inconsistent than in SF. I'm guessing it's lack of practice (yes, yes >practicing DP hurrdurr what is this 2007? new to the series).

But yes. Does the DP have any quirks about it that I should know that could be throwing off my constancy with pulling it off?

Go in training mode and see if you're missing anything. There's an input display.

This one worked while this one

didn't.

Is it because of the timeframe I'm given or what?

Probably, I'm not sure what the exact buffer is.

Try doing it really sloppy. Like 63236. It's probably the long neutral frames from you trying to do it strictly like you would in SF.

Sloppy input like that come out perfectly.

This too.

Sweet mother of god... you're right! With the faster input, it becomes highly successful.

Thank you for being right! I was tearing my hair out earlier today, yelling at Kohaku to swing dat broom.

Don't do it too sloppy, though, or you won't be able to play other fighting games.

If ya wanna practice DP's, the original SF2 Super Turbo. Do it there, ya can do DP's anywhere.
