What IS a whiff?
« on: September 18, 2009, 07:28:48 AM »
I hear this mentioned all the time in higher-level combos but I'm not sure what it is.  I'm guessing it's when an attack doesn't it normally, or something like that.  Anyone?

When a attack doesn't hit.
It's mostly used to cancel attacks recovery time.

Look around yo. Having a move whiff is having a move miss, under context, it'd usually mean on purpose for various strategies mostly involving canceling the recovery lag into a move into the much shorter recovery from an A move.
