I, on the other hand, think that it DOES mean you can't Reverse Beat.  They have stronger attacks and more range than the crescent moon style as it is, so hindering their ability to whiff cancel and such gives them at least one disadvantage to balance out those advantages.  Giving them no penalty for reverse beating would make them too good, and French Bread has been pretty good about balance so far so I'm pretty sure they wouldn't unbalance the styles so much.

Yeah, French Bread is great about balancing. However, I still think that there's some other disadvantage than losing the ability outright. I will admit that maybe the author mistook damage due to Full Moon power-up as lack of rebeats, though.

I'm heading to Japan this summer, on my way to Taiwan. I'm only there for two days, though, but if I can find my way to a nearby arcade with AA, I'll be sure to clear this all up! =3

No damage penalty when you ReBeat is sounds kinda broken to me. That's what everyone will use if that's the case since the features of Crescent moon style are more situational compared to the possible cumulative damage and Magic Circuit generation. But oh well we won't know till the actual game comes out.
