^Yea, make CPU be able do pull off BnBs like we can. And proper blockstrings too. Not to mention loops :P

If it managed that more ppl might take it seriously I can't think of a single 2D fighting game with really good AIs.  Cheap ass bosses that cheat don't count.

Im afraid of the day they program Ciel every time she has meter and you do an attack that will take just 1 frame to long, to do 236C all over your face then combo after it.  Cause I have a feeling that a well programed compy could make Hiero even gayer than it is right now.  Bunker Canceled Hiero *shudders at thought
Reminds me of a guy who created an unstoppable AI for a certain character in MUGEN for an Arcana char, always did BnBs and wutever you she would pin you back into the BnB combos...unstoppable...

As a matter a fact some MUGEN AIs were actually good...although I couldn't keep up with the constant updating.

the problem I had with mugen is the overwhealming number of 10:0 or 9:1 matchups in the game, which still kept it fun but if you wanted to play against humans it was almost a joke.  but I forgot abou mugen some ppl made some damn good AIs.

3D fighters have pretty decent AIs soulcali on highest difficulty is pretty good, VF5 compies are really hard on highest difficult and will BnB you and they know block strings and all sorts of stuff.

=\  Console ports make it harder to update with patches and bug-fixes as time goes by though.  Also, console port will most likely mean no saving/sharing replays or netplay.  Netplay is the biggest reason why MB is thriving now more than ever.  I dunno about you, but I wouldn't want that to be taken away from us.

ok, have no idea if this has been up for discussion or anything before, but being in japan for 2 weeks so far Im too lazy reading myself up to date on the topic. Since we were on a AA location test today and spectated the game for some time as well as having the staff jump me for taking photos and forcing me to remove them from my camera we have maybe(?) a bit new info about AA anyhow!

First of all just a general thought on AA that I noticed looking at loadingscreens/char selects etc. it seems AA is played out in the mind of sion calculating different TATARI scenarios.

It would explain alot of wierd terms etc. used in the loading screens as well as I see a hint of a foreign language that I do not fully recognize. Could be sions original language or some moon speak that has been made up. How ever it is quite likely since there are characters like rizbyfe that really dont have too much connction to the TATARI story line since she would never be summoned as TATARI, at least I dont see any reason for it...

Im too lazy to try to remeber what else we saw but Im gonna paste a list from mb.se that Amn wrote:

Quote from: Amn
Info so far, edit if I remember more... This keyboard has broken spacebar...
Amn, puKKa and Hippish attended locationtest day 2 inOsaka.
General
Gravity has more impact,less floaty.
3 Styles gives different moves.
Activation can be cancled.
Bigger stages, spacing seems to work better.
EX block, executes like instant block, negates guard bar damage.
Combos are tighter to execute.

Character specific (didnt see all characters; vAkiha, Roa, tag team and errr, 1/2 more were unplayable, we lacked time and didnt see every character)
Over all changes, every character has changed very much.
Listing those I can remember at the moment. Everyone has A LOT of new moves, and almost every old one seems to have changed properties.

Sacchin
Grab changed, jumping and grab now.
New A attacks replaced old ones in some stances, shorter range I think...
Can't do the old EX combo anymore.
Has an overhead

Tohno Shiki
Has teleport, seems like grabs BACKWARDS after some version (think it was B)
Can EX srk (editor: spark?) in the air.

Sion
Whiff seems to combo less or not at all when linked from other moves.
Has 13 shots, shots have greater range and shoots forward.
SRK seems to work a little worse.

V.Sion
Has faster summons.
Has midscreen summons, including EX Ciel that throws black keys.
Has a "drill"eterlite.

Nomore time, moretomorrow or something...

Edit: I (bas) accidentally removed some stuff about Kouma and Kohaku during editing apparently, I'll try to add all I know/got:

Kouma 's 5c is one hit and 5b can be charged but whiffs crouchers.
Kohaku: Something about throwing katana and being able to combo from command throw.

thats update one but Ill try to write what I remember myself later.

Aside from wut Amn wrote, all i know from wiki is that:

All characters now feature 3 different fighting styles, known as Full Moon Style(Power), Crescent Moon Style(Speed) and Waning Moon Style(Simple). More announcements and improvements have yet to be revealed. An odd omission from the character select screen is the lack of Hisui(solo), Kohaku(solo), Neco-Arc and Neco-Arc Chaos, despite a screenshot featuring a new attack for Neco-Arc.

    * Three different versions of each character, including new moves for each,
    * Larger stages, including both new and alternate versions of stages from Act Cadenza,
    * A Guard meter which depletes upon blocked attacks and results in a 'Guard Crash' vulnerability state upon depletion,
    * Aerial Circuit Sparks (Only available in certain Moon Styles).
-wiki

Hope someone tried out Roa and Reez and got good info

Not that I can think of it being useful, but an air reversal is interesting =]

I couldn't understand very well Sacchin's changes, but it seems that she was toned down very much x.x

Shion was toned down very much too x.x

VShion seems much more interesting now =]

Great news guys. Please keep us updated =]

Okey, so I took some time and wrote a bit more. Well I guess this will be it for a while if we done come up with more later :P

Guard break:
Few second stun, you can pretty much go to the other side of the cabinet laugh at your opponent, go back and then do a combo even if youre no ninja. No other effects that I noticed. Guard break -> stun -> full guard bar again

Characters unplayable at location test: Roa, Twins, V.Akiha, Nero

Generally it seems ALL 2/5A attacks have been modified and most attacks seem to have shorter range.

Whiff-cancels looked alot less effective and didnt look to really give that mush of advantage anymore.

Warc:
Has a new attack that looks like Mystic Eyes. Effect unknown, was spammed by one player but had short range(EX-version as well) but got blocked once as well. It looks quite evil though :3
Old basic bnb works fine.

Kohaku:
Can throw small knifes.
5C seems to be able to be split into multiple parts. Shaft-stab, then spin. So if it whifs recovery time isnt too great.
jB range and animation remade, much shorter range.
Seems to have a counter-attack where she opens the sheat of her broom quickly and it blings.
5B gimped. 2A gimped.

Aoko:
Full-screen beam missile, animation looked crap but was fast and looked very annoying.

Ciel:
Has a new move, lookes like nanayas 236A/B/C and the whole crowd laughed at it when they saw it :P
Can throw three black keys up into the air.
Seems to have some wierd EX-move that lookes like it starts of like her bunker and then adds a few hits.

V.Sion:
Summons looks like spiderweb, so now we have spidergirl in the cast! /cheer
Midscreen summons, as well as something that looked like a feint midscreen summon that also hit.
6B overhead had a totally new animation with a backflip and it looked quite cool.

Sion:
214C does not grab anything that is not blocking anywhere on the damn screen. Same goes for the rest of the 214-attacks.
Got a straight shooting gun attack. not very far range.

And finally for something totally different, MBAC tournament in Akiba, Tokyo. Me and Amn participated, first matchup Jin and K2. We dieded by the SBO qualifiers. Im happy ;P

Note: Kohaku can combo off of her command throw in MBAC.

Figures that V Akiha isn't working yet...  >:(

On the bright side, V Sion sounds better and better.

Is there any news about the 3 styles? Have you guys tried to check the difference between them? o.o
And we demand tests on Reeze /o/

An odd omission from the character select screen is the lack of Hisui(solo), Kohaku(solo), Neco-Arc and Neco-Arc Chaos, despite a screenshot featuring a new attack for Neco-Arc.
There are news screenshots that shows both maids separately. And nothing about Neco Arc. And Neco Chaos is only extra at MBAC Ver.B PC

Updated it again, last night was really stressfull because of the hostel cerfew.Changes can be found here.
http://www.meltyblood.se/forum/viewtopic.php?f=7&t=20&start=50
Iam not done with the list, its just that I have to pay to use a comp now, soI dontwant to do it allin 1 sitting...expasnive.

Edit: Tag team, chaos v.akiha, roa, nekos were unplayable.
We were only there for a littlemore then an hour, noone played certain characters like Rieze, Hisui, rens etc...

Dunno if it depended on style, but people charged their magic curcuit (think it aws D and something else...or abc, didnt see clearly, sorry). Its (almost) all in there... but this little change was worth being mentioned if you ask me. Game seems less floaty.
*coinoperated computer sucks...*

Changes from http://gamechariotkaqn.ti-da.net/e2240257.html as translated by Tropsy:

Half Moon: [22:43] <nonotan> max bar is 200%, heat at 200% (with charge like full moon), if you get hit in heat IT DOES CIRCUIT SPARK AUTOMATICALLY, no blood heat, only ex shields, if your ex shield is successful you counterattack automatically (both on the ground and in the air), you can't ex guard? dunno wtf that even means

Full Moon: [22:38] <nonotan> in full moon: you can't reverse beat, you can't dodge, with a+b+c or Q you do a "power charge", many changes in normals and specials

Crescent Moon: <nonotan> crescent moon = similar to old mbac, except there's an AERIAL DODGE

nonotan: arc's 214b now lets you choose options depending on the button you press for the second attack
nonotan: a: teleport behind them, b: like her 4b now, probably for combo use, c: the current one

[23:15] <nonotan> sacchin apparently has a head slice with 3c
23:15] <nonotan> what's she now, potemkin?
[23:15] <nonotan> slide*"
nonotan: sacchin's 623b is chargable
[23:17] <nonotan> sacchin's 623a now goes immediately above her
[23:19] <nonotan> sacchin's new 421 (let's assume it's 421, I don't even want to think about 241) is apparently napalm stretch (Clark DP)

nonotan: ciel gets an aerial version of her 623
nonotan: ciel airthrow techable
nonotan: ciel loses her HEEL OVERHEAD
swwwrlol: ciel loses shield cancel on her 5cc

[22:52] <nonotan> also seems reduce timing is now less severe
nonotan: all voices have been rerecorded, and aoko's dead message's intonation is now different

[23:21] <nonotan> in crescent moon warakia loses his nails in 5a and 2a
warakia now has an aerial 236
nonotan: apparently it can be used like akiha's tk 236
nonotan: AERIAL SUMMONS

[23:24] <nonotan> vsion gets warakia's 22
[23:24] <nonotan> if vsion's 22 hits [23:25] <nonotan> the opponent flies towards you [23:25] <nonotan> in before 22 loop
vsion gets sion's j.214

[23:26] <nonotan> miyako's j.b now is a kick
[23:26] <nonotan> ... but still hits both sides

nonotan: arc's 214b now lets you choose options depending on the button you press for the second attack
nonotan: a: teleport behind them, b: like her 4b now, probably for combo use, c: the current one
<nonotan> arc's 4b is now 4c
[23:07] <nonotan> says in full moon pretty much all her normals change and "6b and 4c are removed" (lol wut 6b)
[23:09] <nonotan> says in full moon arc's 236 becomes that (reppuken)
[23:10] <nonotan> seems the ex version of it is like warc's 236b
