I searched if there is already thread like this but couldn't find any so.... (Oh I see it seemed like this topic was talked about within the other thread, which is probably the reason why I couldn't find it lol) This is one of question I always wondered lol.

So do you guys think there will be PS3 port of Melty Blood soon or later? I mean, I know that you can run PS2 emulator on PC and it plays just fine, but I was always thinking about version for PS3 since Actress Again came out for PS2 (which I was disappointed). So maybe Current Code or some other version could come out for PS3 with online support or something? Maybe price for game could be around 40 bucks (Like Bl@zB!u*) and add-ons for Playstation store? (Like Bl@zB!u*).

Maybe I'm making bad comparison because fanbase for Bl@zB!u* is I'm sure larger than the fanbase of Melty Blood, but I personally think it might not be a bad idea for PS3 port.

I also like to play everything on console so

Too much of hassle to connect computer to TV....

Anyway, what do you guys think?

We talked about it in the MBAA:CC thread a little (ok, alot) but it's all we hope for really.

It's probably going to happen in the end. I just hope they don't release a CC port for PS3/360 as late into their lifespan as they released AA into PS2's lifespan.

Ecole knows that people want a PS3 port (they've stated it) but they said it's unlikely. Especially since they would have to design it for the PS3 and not the PS2, or arcade systems... That and I don't know whether it would be able to be done in their budget.

They actually said it? Dang.... I guess it's understandable how it would cost a lot more money to make game for ps3 port... Disappointing

what they need to, instead of trying to port it to the ps3 version.

why not just port the arcade version to the ps3?! just like all the other arcade games. it wouldn't be hard ( i imagine)

i mean they did it with Marvel, and its a much older game.

MBAC was released on PS2, then the new arcade version was ported and enhanced for the PC.
So who knows, maybe they'll do the same now except from PS2 to PS3?

We won't get new players, people will just pirate it and be parts of team nah. Even so, if it's on the PC, then bringing a PC port to a tournament would be ass because there are no PC standards.

People do realize that if we get a ps3 port there's most likely going to be netplay on it regardless, so with that said, there's virtually no reason to have it on a PC if that happens.

Random lag shit that you can easily blame on a PC can occur in the match. If it's a console thing, then all of them have it and everyone would already deal with it as is.

Not everyone has a PS3 you know.

That said, both PC and PS3 would be reasonable, and it's not like we don't already have precedent for that with BB.

That doesn't mean that the netplay won't be ass, or playable for people outside of Japan or Asia. If huge developers like Namco and Capcom can't deliver "good" netplay, what makes people think a smaller developer will?

...Then don't have an ass PC to play it on? Not that it would take much to play it on, but I don't think I've ever seen a Melty have lag on PC as long as the PC wasn't underpowered. Ever.
