Just for clarification, I am going to run AH3 on Saturday unless I somehow lose access to one of the the karaoke rooms (which isn't likely cause Ghaleon is cool like that)

Dullyanna you're such an Abare-tard

Here you go:

? ? ? is Justin Groton.  He didn't register with a nickname so that's how I had to enter it in the bracket

I'm working on vids right now.  I'll only be able to get so many done before I go to work but I hope to have most of them up today

Thanks Tiggy

Want to see Xaq vs NerdJosh, LK vs. NerdJosh, and Sp00ky vs LK.

The last two vids I have recorded.  The first vid doesn't exist.  I wasn't able to record every single match, as I had the recording setup on one TV.

I apologize for the slow uploading of videos.  I was having trouble with one video in particular today but I finally got it to process.  Unfortunately work beckons.  Tomorrow I have the day off so I will definitely have the rest of the videos up so stay tuned

Would anyone be able to bring a setup for MBAA?  Don't worry about bringing a T.V., I should be able to hang onto mine for casuals all weekend.  My PS2 may need to be used for the GGXXAC+ tourney and I don't wanna leave the few Melty players at SB:R hanging

10
:(((

That...really sucks. I probably won't go then.

This, I have midterm that Friday night.  Are you sure you can't somehow make that work for Saturday, Tiggy?  Or Sunday, even?  The community is pretty used to being run on Sunday.

As much as I want to, I can't.  Sunday is a possibility on the day-of IF things are ran smoothly and out of the way.  As of now, for planning purposes, no.  Main reason is because of Super Street Fighter IV pools.  Other reason is because fugee said so.  He's TO, and his word is final.

I REALLY wanted to have the tourney on a day that wasn't Saturday but it can't be helped  :'(

If I were you guys -- and you weren't already planning on coming to SB -- I would just skip it and go to NEC.  That's where all the Melty hype is at anyways and where the biggest numbers for the game will be.  I wish I could go but due to financial reasons and lack of personal hours to request off I am never able to make it

11
I'm sad to say that the tourney will be on Friday night, just like last year.  I'll have a casual setup for the entire weekend though.  Sorry you guys, I was really hoping for this to be on Saturday myself  :'(

F-Miyako:
5B - Damage down
2B - Damage down
2B - Prorate stronger
5C - Cannot be normal canceled
JB - Duration down
B Gokudo (rider kick) - Damage down
A Renkan (kick kick) - Prorate stronger
B Renkan - Damage down
B Renkan - Prorate stronger
B Renkan - Invincibility reduced
Air A Senshuu (bodysplash) - Prorate stronger
Air B Senshuu - Prorate stronger

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eYHm4ANu5Ko#t=4m13s

As you can see here, 5C can still be normal canceled into 6C

My reason for posting this is because fugee approached me and is allowing me to have Melty run on Saturday this year if there's enough interest.  Saturday will be mostly dedicated to Super, but he said that he'll be able to fit it in either Friday or Saturday, depending on the Melty community.  He feels that with it being in EVO, at the very least the EC presence can/will be huge.  Obviously, Saturday is the ideal day, since people will just be getting in town Friday night.

You can post either here or SRK to show your support, and I'll let fugee know.

I'm trying to go for two setups for the tourney (I know I know, not enough).  But anyone that's been to SB knows that time, space, and resources are of the utmost importance for the main game(s).  Once again, just post here or SRK and show your support!!

I know the whiff throw > poison plant setup is old news, but I think it's still hype as fuck  :fap:
Especially for this character lol

Yeah. I actually made a mistake on that. I meant 214b. Gotta edit that. The timing of it is actually tricky to be honest. When you hit with 5c, you have to do a slight delay and input 421b. The 2c and 5c variant does seem like a bit easier than the 5bb one since if you don't time the 2c properly, 5bb won't come out.

lol that's what I figured, it's all good.  Oh yeah, if you wanna make the 2C 5C 214BEB easier on timing, just do 421A after 5A6AA.  2C 5C becomes a normal chain after you do the whiff air throw, but you still have to delay in order to get the 5C wallslam at the correct height.  And there's exactly one less point of damage adding 421A (lol), so do what feels most comfortable to you

Miyako Arima / Re: H-Miyako (Really now?) Grooves

I'm not understanding the 236B variant.  The wallslam puts them too high, and if I delay it they tech before I can land 5C.  Or, it seems to be at the right height but the opponent ends up behind Miyako.  2B doesn't help either.  I'm gonna go ahead and say my timing is not good enough for that combo.

On the other hand if I replace 236B with 214B I can do it just fine.  Also I found a combo similar to C-Miyako 5C 214BEB wallslam:

2A 5B 5C 5A6AA 2C 5C 214BEB 5B 2B aerial
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=h8rogiDWz_s
I believe the 2C 5C is a link just like 2C 5BB corner combo variant

Pretty sure ehrik covered everything, since I'm a n00b when it comes to anything technical lol.  My T.V. has multiple A/V inputs, so there's no need for me to use a splitter.  Also, I am using an A/V cable that has A/V outputs on both ends of the cable, so I can record/play off my CRT.

If there's any video requests I'm willing to only do a couple since it's a lot of work for me sadly, as far as editing goes.

Pretty sure you can TK 236, but there's no point in doing so since it's not jump cancellable and you must land and recover before doing anything else IIRC  :/  Only thing it's good for is combo ender for max damage, but even then the EX version adds roughly 300 extra points of dmg

Makes my fingers hurt playing her though

Nice job to Meta on the win and Tiggy for 2nd wtf.

LOL

Thanks for the congrats guys! <3  If I actually got seeded into Evo, then that's a shame cause I won't be able to go :(  Ok now time for some shoutouts:

meta - Thanks for beating in the grand finals lol.  I hate your character with a burning passion, but you definitely still outplay me in every aspect.  And next time learn a little about the characters for yourself  :P

Greats - Nice meeting you!  What are the chances that two people are walking in a hallway talking about Melty, and a stranger in same hallway notices and talks to people about playing?!?  MADNESS!!!  Your H-Satsuki (<3) and C-WLen are on point

beno - ggs in tourney man, wish we could've played more

Forte - ggs!  And yes, H-Len is teh awesomess, even if she is ass

MagnusXL - Dude our winners' finals matches were fun!  LOL to whoever said that my H-Len was a bad character choice.  Even if it was a bad choice it worked out somehow lol.  I had to dig deep for this one

TEAM_PURPLE - I somehow managed to beat you in tourney, I still can't believe it TBH.  You're a superior player, and it showed in our post-tourney casuals.  You pushed my shit in.  HARD.  Very nice games against you

EmptyShiki - ggs in casuals Sunday!  And special ggs for hyping up the crowd in TvC when you murdered me on stream lol

Necrosis - I can't thank you enough for the hotel stay and Melty casuals.  Even if I was upset when I made mistakes/you simply outplayed me in our casuals and I complained about Sion (lol), you're still better than me overall.  I wouldn't of even been able to make it to MWC if it weren't for the free stay, cause gas killed my budget this past weekend.  I can't thank you enough <3

Webster - ggs in our casuals!  I'll keep the secret for now, but in the future it will be revealed.... >:D

orka - Good shit for having obligations when I'm actually able to attend a tourney....AGAIN!  In special tribute to you, I played H-Aoko for most of the weekend.  Why is she so fun?

This tourney was a humbling experience for me.  I'll keep working harder and trying my best to keep up with everyone

Oh snap, I didn't know you could cancel anything into F-Miyako's 623C on block.  I stupid  :slowpoke:

And why 22A/B is useful in blockstrings:

Oh yeah, and I know why I had so much trouble trying triple jump C fuzzy on VSion.  I was trying it on her neutral state.  I don't think anyone is ever gonna be neutral on wakeup in the corner lol.  I'll probably try it again and record the dummy walking backwards (duh Tiggy  :teach:)

My second melty major and a lot of fun.  I didn't stick around a lot cause I was hanging out with people more than I was playing this past weekend (and upset cause of poor performance lol), but it was good being a part of the community, however small my presence was.

Shoutouts:

Larry - I was humbled that you spotted me and remembered me so well.  Thank you for running yet another great event, and rushing over to watch MBAA finals lol

SilentShinobi - My choices: 1) play my losers' match in TvC and hold the 3v3 up, or 2) DQ myself from TvC and play my 3v3 in MBAA, only to get scraped.  Easy 2nd choice.  Your H-Arc was lookin pretty solid, but I wanted to see more F-Arc  :P  Oh and while I still remember this, I won't play F-Koha anymore since I have no yomi.  I missed that part when I was learning her.  I HAS NO YOMI

Doren2k - Doren2goodwithC/FMiyako!  Congrats on 1st in singles!  I have so much work to do, considering how many relaunches I missed (like 97% of them actually lol)

DivineArc - Having you in my car Saturday night was fun, made that drive not as horrendous.  You've got a solid and scary C-Roa, and watching your C-Arc made me say "Soooo much work!!!" more times than I'm willing to admit

LordKnight - Congrats on 2nd in singles, and sweeping through 3v3.  Stop being so hungry and let your teammates play!  Not to be sappy, but you spotting me in the hallway Saturday and stopping to talk to me was humbling.  I'm a nobody but it meant a lot to me.  No homo

Pfhor - We didn't really talk or formally introduce ourselves to each other, but you're cool peeps.  Did you drop the C-Koha 2C 6C loop at all this weekend? lol

woof - Good to meet ya!  I saw you at ACen last year while you were playing Touhou but I didn't speak to you.  We should've played AH1 man

orka - WHERE WERE YOU?!?  :'(

Nas - I cannot stand around you without laughing.  And thanks for helping me identify SK and the book.  Yes, I have heard stories about it and I was finally able to see some of it first-hand

sibladeko - It was an honor.  Having you in my Ford Focus was one of the most humbling experiences of my life.  The whole drive downtown wouldn't of been the same without you lol

Brandino - Great to see you after two years.  3rd isn't bad considering you've been in Germany with no one to play lol.  Oh, and thanks for not getting us lost :)  Sorry for blowing your phone up Sat night, but you have to understand my stress in that situation.  Downtown ATL at night is....interesting to say the least.  OH YEAH, why you come out the gate with that IH setup that I magically managed to block Friday night?!?

The Neco-Arc player (sorry but your name escapes me) - Thank you for trolling me with that thing lol

Tone! - A pleasure to meet you!  It was fun talking about AH2 PS2 and Tournament Fighters!  "Rat Bomber....!"  Thanks for tagging along Saturday night

Choco
- Why you no remember me...? lol  Watching you play Friday night while intoxicated was so cool.  Where was C-Sacchin?  :'(

PSoul - I now hate Mech.  I know she's a ton of work and whatnot but jeez! lol  Thanks for the experience.  I'll learn how to block 421[A] when I learn how to not hold down back the entire match

Frank the Tank - Good meeting you again.  Wish I didn't drop so many combos in our matches, I feel like I wasn't hardly a challenge to ya  :-\

My memory is getting bad, but to the other guy that rode in the car with me Sat night thanks for coming along.  And to anyone else I'm forgetting and you know we talked/played it was a pleasure.  I WILL work on C/F-Miyako a lot more from now on, but I shall not stop playing my alts dammit!
