Don't think I've seen that Ciel throw before. (the one he abuses to put maids in the air) What's the command for it?
4b/{b} -> 236b

Thanks mate. Not that I use 4b much, but might come in handy sometime.

Well, to give you an idea of what I'm working with:

Intel Dual Core T2300 1.66 GHz
1.00 GB RAM
NVIDIA GeForce Go 7400

I did try a variety of plugins and settings, but this was about 2 or 3 years ago, they might have made some progress with the emulator.  If you think I still have a shot making it work I'll look into it.

Honestly I don't know. I've only emulated Disgaea so far as I haven't really come across other PS2 games I'd wan to run yet (excepting MBAA of course :D). This setup:

Core 2 E4500 2.2GHZ
2.0GB DDR2
NVIDIA 8600 GT

lagged pretty badly under the default PCSX2 setup (it had  10-15 FPS frame rate + some serious audio bugs).

Then I switched to the following plugin setup:

Base App: PCSX2 0.9.4
Graphics Plugin: GSDX 846 (MSVC 15.00, SSSE3) 0.1.9
Sound Plugin: P.E.Op.S. SPU2 1.9.0
Controller Plugin: SSSPSX PAD Plugin Pressure Mod 1.6.0
CDROM Plugin: Linuzappz ISO CDVD 0.7.0
Dev9 Plugin: STOCK
USB Plugin: STOCK
FireWire Plugin: STOCK
BIOS: USA v01.60(07/02/2002) Console

With that configuration I get perfect frame rate (no lag or audio stutter under any conditions, even during the most intense animations). I'm not sure how much "wiggle room" there is, though - it could be that it's just barely good enough, and a more demanding game or less powerful computer would bring the framerate woes right back.

I don't have one.  My PC runs PS2 games at around 20 FPS on emulation.

Are you using the default plugins? As I recall, I had to install new graphics and sound plugins to get games to run at a decent speed, but after that I didn't see any lag at all.

I'm going to have to learn how to use a pad AND a new main unless someone helps me figure out how to get a keyboard to input into PS2 MBAA.

If you have a fairly well-spec'd PC, you may be able to run your MBAA disc on your PC using PCSX2. - from there you should be able to set up your keyboard as a controller. I'm going to try this myself because I'm absolutely terrible with a pad, and will post results and/or instructions on the main board when I do.
