... So all you have to do is hold forward and she keeps going? :slowpoke:

I only ever tapped it, which is probably why it seemed so useless (since it only takes you like half an inch when you do it that way) Dx

I feel pretty dumb.

... So how do I get her to run in H? I played her for a good half-hour on Wednsday, and (as far as I remember :psyduck:) she didn't run at all, and forward dash is just the little skip, almost slower than the normal walking...

Is it the same for H?

Much thanks  ;D I'll have their asses in my hands in no time >:D ... wait... :psyduck:

Also, she has a really crappy forward dash, but from what I've seen in the vids she can do an actual run, what's the input for that? (as far as I've seen she's the only one who does it)

Sorry, I didn't mean it was never anywhere else; it was probably ported onto one of those late 80's/early 90's home consoles, but I've never personally seen it outside of an arcade

So I started this game out about 2 months (and 3 plays) ago, and I started out with the glasses knife guy, but then out of no where my friend randomly states that there's a cellist who battles Con Strumento (wow that phrase was not worth the time it took to look up)

The short of the long of it is that I've played her(him? No, it's her) for a good hour and a half (broken into two weeks) and I'm looking to get to know how she ticks a little better. I can understand numpad notation, but anything past that goes a little over my head (mix-up, bb, otg, whaaa?)

I play half moon, and against Twin and his disciple who are both already very good (last set of matches ended 22L-2W) . Any help you can give would be appreciated, thnx ;D

Donkey Kong is an Arcade game, I have not known it to be on any other platform... Which is really a smart business move on Nintendo's part; one installment of $40 or 10,000,000,000 installments of $0.25 and I think... 125... 625... multiply the 2, carry the one... yes, it's a lot more.

Donkey Kong

I can not get enough of this thing, it devours my quarters.

[tangent]Idk if it applies specifically with this thread or not, but I figured that it was worth mentioning that, if you live in MD anywhere near Lakeforest mall, Blazblue is playable at Ultimate Gaming Zone. I haven't seen it played personally, but it's one of the tournament sign-up lists, so I figure they probably have it.[/tangent]

Thanks, didn't even notice that was more than an ad banner :P

I checked it out, and, though I appreciate it, the game fails both of my requirements (Not for PC, and $60)

I'll just have to rely on Twin to bring it in on wed.

GAH! Third week in a row I have been denied a chance to play  :'(

Any ideas on how I can maybe get a copy for myself? Preferably a PC version for low (very low) cost and low hard-drive space (my computer isn't in the best shape)

I've tried google and so far I haven't found anything substantial, any help would be appreciated  ;D

Well that's a relief, I feel a little less like a d-bag now ;D but that's why I usually like to know a little about who I'm playing before I pick a character, one of the big things I look for in a fighting character is personality, otherwise there would be absolutely no excuse for playing as Dan -_-

Damnit I'm rambling again, got to work on that... :-X

Yea, adultswim really resents their anime since no one watches it, and I really though you would go for Aqua Teen, or even Perfect Hair Forever in terms of mediocre cartoons, Metalocalypse is pretty high-value imo... The really funny thing is that I ended up watching the whole anime series in only 3 nights (what? there's no new Bleach 'til April) and it wasn't bad, although I wish someone would have told me that that guy was the main character -_- (seriously, I might as well be fighting as Mario)

I'd talk more, but this is the intro thread, so I don't really want to stray too far off from the theme x_x

There was one chain of moves that I did a lot (mostly on accident from mashing) that was a combo (in the sense that it chained together with another move) and wasn't a combo (in the sense that it was blocked even after the previous moves were direct hits)

if I recall correctly, it was a few (three maybe) low taps followed by some sort of dashing slash move (that was always blocked.) I was playing Half moon *FNG. I was wondering if anyone recognized the (poor) description of the combo and could help me out if this combo has more use than just opening me up to get countered.

Thanks ;D

The pressure was always there and I could never get a word in edgewise; once the combos started, there was nothing I (in my level of ability) could do. but I suppose that's something I'll pick up after a while ;D

Sorry, but my anime is carefully regulated into easy-to-swallow 4 hour-a-week blocks by the good folks at [as]. I simply can't handle any more than that -_-

Can someone say pwned?
...pwned

why?

...and the match(es) are over. It was close, but Twin beat me a slim 8 rounds to 0. I played pink (Dan-ed) Glasses fruit knife guy, one of those Shiki's I think, in Half Moon (I heard it was the speed style) I managed to flashlight him twice, but aside from that, minimal damage from my end.

Next time, however, he won't be so lucky. Thanks for all of your help everybody; this information will be put to good use on Monday. I'll stop by every so often to see if there's any other good newbie advice floating around ;)

play a very newbie friendly character and learn their basic BNB.

I didn't get the chance to see this, but I think I was using one of the guys on this list... (It probably wouldn't have made a difference, he really kicked my ass -_-)

Finally, on a positive note, I did beat the tar out of him (well, in one round, anyways,) as well as the only guy better than him (Dan vs. Sagat, Dan ftw) on SF4  so today wasn't a total loss.

... I was being serious...  :-\ (for the most part) I think it just degenerated in seriousness as time went on... I suppose it was a little whorish though, in retrospect -_-

Still 100% non-fiction, and that is a promise. And still 1 more day left! Any other suggestions are appreciated!
