Ah okay then. So this time, we're doing Arcana Heart 3 and MBAA right? I think all of us are on the same level in Melty, but its a pretty basic game so we all stand a fair chance.

I haven't played much either, but this is how we learn. Do you own the game?

Good stuff at hosting Drem, we didn't play Melty but at least now we know we have people who want to play, and a place to do it.

Sounds good Drem. We can make it our Arcana and Melty, and even BlazBlue domain. Just be sure you check, cause those sound like a good place to play for a small group such as us. Maybe we can get new people to play?  :nyoro:

Well we already had a thread but it was dead. I'm trying to pick up Full Sion along with Full Ries now, dropping Hisui maybe. Though, I'm only learning Sion in Full cause I'm familiar with Full Moon, and I always forget the differences between the moon styles.

Looks like I'm going this year. Due to me not playing Melty on a regular basis and entering BlazBlue and Arcana Heart, and possibly SFIV I dunno if I'll enter Melty or Guilty Gear but I'll be looking for casuals though.

I'm having trouble doing the whiff chain, after the 2C I end up getting [6]A instead of a throw, maybe I misinterpret? If it helps I am using the quick action button for the grab.

Her corner combos are amazing. Also I love 5B but isn't her hitboxes pretty deceptive? 2B always throws me for a curve due to the looks, I have a habit of doing 2A 2B 2C to whatever. I first played Ries in Full then went to Crescent Hisui, but F Ries is so moe.

Hey welcome ShotS and movezig, hope you enjoy your stay and find players to play with D:

Where do you live btw ShotS?
Thanks for the welcome.
I live in the Mission Viejo area in SoCal.

Sup Shots. Welcome to our lair.

I go to UCI, so I can play with you once I head back.

Also Xie hosts casuals at his place once in a while.

I think Devin (I don't remember his account name) lives in Mission Viejo.

Nice avatar, and shouts to Akiha fans. I learned to love Akiha through Tsukihime.

I get to go play some casuals tonight I'll see what I can do with F Ries though its rough starting out. I'll just play it and get a feel for things more or less, its all a learning experience. I'm also messing with C-Hisui and the difference is astounding. Ries is much slower.

I still can't combo to launchers or pilebunker reliably yet apart from chopping the combo in half but hell I'll have fun doing it. I guess F-Ries has to play a little more patient if she has to rely on counters and spacing.

I guess the best place to ask would be here but for her jump combos you can do j.A j.C dj. j.A. j.C or do B instead of A, I'm assuming the B does more damage. But is there anything wrong with using A for now if I find it easier? I don't think it really matters at this point but I'm pretty sure later on I need to go for more damage.

Mass Effect and Fallout 3 until I get all achievements and possible endings. Any Metroid game has a high replay value from me as well.

I would hope she's awesome, I'm spending lots of time in training with her.

A beginner F-Ries video would be great. Yes, I just started playing this game.

Very nice tutorial. I like the clean, simple display and format. Besides a typo or two, its very good. You should do the next few like this. Have you presented it on SRK yet?

Thanks.

Since I'm brand new here, any threads recommended for people like me, just starting out? I've been reading the V. Scion combo thread, I can kinda make it out, but I'm still a little lost. I probably passed it about eight times already.
Here's the begginers thread.V-sion isn't a good character to start out with imo, but that is all on you. I would recommend any C/H/F tohno, C/H/S Ries, H-Nanaya or any of the akiha's to beginners.  http://www.meltybread.com/forums/melty-blood-auditorium/best-character-for-a-beginner/

Thanks. I found the Wiki too, much more helpful than SRK's Wiki. Nice.

If you're on SRK you may know me as Saikyo Joe, I just chose a new name for a change of pace (its a Who song).

Thanks.

I'm thinking of starting with V. Scion or Scion right now. Scion seems a little easier right now...

Off to lurking I go.

I just got into Melty Blood after experiencing it at Final Round XIII. Now I've got the flip top fat PS2, Melty Blood disc, and Swap Magic, I am ready to begin my journey.

Look forward to another fighting game other than Street Fighter, something different to appease me these days. (I suck at Street Fighter).

Good to be here with you guys. I'm gonna go lurk around and see if I can make heads or tails of this game.
