Why are people making a big deal about this again?

For comedic purposes; reading all of the complaining in this thread has been fairly amusing.

Random note: When running the game via an emulator, you're able to use standard PC tools like memory editors and debuggers to cheat.

If you bind Tsearch to the game, add a cheat at address 57642B4, call it character ID or soomething. While you're on the player select screen, enter 51 into it to select Archetype-Earth. She doesn't seem to have an arcade mode (game just hangs), but others should work fine. I'm using her in training mode currently, with the fancy eclipse moon type.

She's... fairly anti-climatic. She's basically Arc with hax stats, slightly modified moves, and a new win animation.

[EDIT]

Actually, looks like the memory location I mentioned is dynamic. You can find it by selecting Arc, searching for 1, selecting Sion, searching for 0, selecting Ciel, searching for 2, and then alternating between those until the results narrow down.

Another edit, looks like 16 = GAkiha. 32, despite being labeled as Roa on the character select screen causes Dust of Osirus to pop in.

I never did update any of that (team battle stuff, selectable boss) stuff for 1.03a, but I can look  into throwing something together later tonight I guess, assuming nobody else has done anything similar with the new version.

That would be FRAPS, displaying his current framerate.

As for Caster knocking you onto the main menu, I recall that some people had similar issues a while back with IaMP Caster, though I don't recall any solutions for the issue, if they would even be applicable in this case.

My friend cannot seem to use the d-pad on his Xbox360 controller, but it's usable offline.
Any suggestions~nyo?
Thanks in advance~nyo.

Temporary fix until something better can be cooked up: Have him try using the third party XBCD360 drivers - they'll allow him to configure the controller so that Windows sees the digital pad input as X/Y axis input, though the XBOX360 headset won't function while those drivers are in use.

As a side note for keyboard users who want to use the combination keys - You might try looking for a program called PPJoy which can be used to create virtual gamepads/joysticks. It comes bundled with a program called PPJoyKey, which can be used to pass keyboard input to a virtual gamepad created by PPJoy. I did a brief test a few days ago, and was able to trick MBAC into thinking that my keyboard input was a genuine gamepad, though a friend of mine has had some issues getting it to work for him. It's an extremely messy work around, though - but something to consider if you really can't live without the combination keys and/or your keyboard doesn't much care for multiple inputs at the same time - which is an entirely valid concern, if you ask me.

Press 'view problem details', then copy/paste the fault module name and the exception offset.

Personally, I've had several crashes running under Windows Vista from WINMM.dll, at offset 000043ee.

Great stuff. Was able to play with a friend of mine in Europe with no problems. Like a few other people, I'm also having problems when trying to run it under Windows Vista, however my WinXP partition works fine.

As a side note, a keyboard using friend of mine wanted to know if it would be possible to allow people to remap the A+B and A+B+C combo keys.

Melty Blood Auditorium / Re: Neco arc chaos G666/damien army hack out.

I found out how to make the boss characters (G666/DA) selectable on the character select screen yesterday, and PM'd the instructions to Lord Phrozen to use whenever he updates his trainer next.

If you know how to use a debugger, the following things need to be changed:

0040958D: MOV EAX,19
00409592: NOP
0040828B: NOP
0040828C: NOP

Once that is done, the sprite showing your currently selected character should change to Neco Arc Chaos instead of whoever you have selected, which prevents the game from choking and crashing when the boss characters are selected. Once that is done, place the selection cursor over Kishima and hit D to cycle between him and the boss characters in the same way that you cycle between Neco Arc Chaos and Nero.

Regarding the MBR boss characters, they don't seem to exist in MBAC as far as I can tell.
