PS1 ISO's!
I don't wanna own a brand new brick.
They're still made of multiple pictures.
Really, its because the game has no voice...I do not see how voices benefit a fighter unless it is guilty gear quality.
That might vary. The voices in GG aren't as good, for example, as VAkiha's, if you want fapping material.
It's numpad notation. All the numbers correspond to directions. So 5 is neutral (No direction pressed), 8 is up, 2 is down, etc. So 236A is down-to-forward (hadoken motion) and the A button. Learn the notation. It's the most widely used and easily understood among 2d fighters.
Thanks is that wth I wanted to know. thx aloot!
And I didn't knew the terms, since I never discussed 2dFight (VS) games
Online before. I apreciate.

PS:Looks like now I can understand those Akiha combos XD
I admire the faith you had in Multi, Darth.
Sorry. I'm still here. I haven't checked the boards in months actually. The idea that I've been lurking is incorrect, besides clicking on a link or two someone posted on irc. I replied to the emails sent to me promptly, and explained what I could there. I suggested a refund a while back but everybody seemed more keen on wanting their sticks. I wanted to get them done so that you guys could enjoy them but it just didn't happen. I didn't mean to mislead chibi by getting a deadline from him, but I figured if I had one I could pressure myself to do it faster. I did work on it but I didn't finish though.
I've refunded chibi and darth trey as they asked me recently through email. When i do happen to finish their sticks, they're free to buy them at that time if they want. They'll have first choice in the matter, otherwise they'll be put up for public sale.
Motoh, if you're reading this, this option is up to you too. Of course I'll consider discounting the sticks even more the 2nd time around for you guys considering how long i made you wait. The first 5 or 6 sticks didn't take me so long so I figured I could keep up that pace but it didn't go that way.
The best way to contact me is through my email, check the first page for details.
about kuenai, he admited to ignoring emails purposely even before he disappeared. I haven't visited the forums in a long time but I've always replied to any email sent to me within a day or two. I do lament the fact that I'm in a similar situation as he was, but I actually didn't preach over his timeliness so much as the god awful quality of his work.
It makes Windows development MUCH MUCH easier.
you would still use C++ for greater majority of the game code.
Is it possible to write in two languages at once for any given program?
As far as learning a new language, C# is ezmode C++. Sure there will be some learning that needs to be done, but in the grand scheme of things it's worth it.
It's also proprietary. Are there even dev environments besides VS that support C#? I like C# as much as the next guy, but how easy it is isn't the only thing to consider when deciding if you're going to learn it.
Platform
Microsoft's current .NET implementation is only available on Windows, and while this only relates to the availability of some non-standard libraries developed by Microsoft, rather than the C# language itself, the .NET runtime's ties to this operating system are seen by some as a drawback.[17][18]. However, there are other environments that support C# programs on Windows, Linux, BSD or Mac OS X, and while some provide a complete implementation of the C# language and CLI, none provide a complete implementation of every library available from Microsoft. See Mono[19] and DotGNU[20] In November of 2002 Microsoft released a 1.0 CLI implementation that worked on Free BSD and Mac OS X 10.2, but the next versions were only made available on Windows.
This topic makes me lol.
You need to do A LOT more research if you think it's as easy as running your code through a program and it auto converts stuff you are sadly mistaken.
If I were you, I would not even worry about the PS3 at all. Develop it for Windows/X360 using the XNA package(which uses C# not C++ btw) IF it succeeds on those two platforms then you can start thinking about the PS3.
Like I had said, I don't plan on it coming out on console initially, most fighting games come out on arcade first. Arcade games can run off of Windows XP, so there's no problem with that. I have never done work for a PS3 or a 360, so that's why I'm uninformed. If we can get to a point where we'd consider porting it to a console I'll do the research for that then, but making a game for Windows XP is the only thing I need to worry about atm.
EDIT: Also, thanks for letting me know about this. This is why I'm discussing it, so I can know what I'm limited on. Do you work for a game company?
The problem isn't the language in the beginning, it's converting it to PS3's programming code.
Why the hell would you try to make a game for a platform for which you couldn't get a hold of that platforms API? Microsoft gives out the Xbox 360 API for free.
Ok you've got ONE damn week Multi, I've gotten really sick of this.
If I don't have my stick by next week I want a full refund.
This is fucking dumb, seriously, you should be ashamed of yourself.
Though I'm not involved in this, Multi appears to be active on the boards... he's watching.
A month ago he told me that if I gave him a deadline he'd be motivated to work on the stick.
So I did, that deadline was Feburary 18th. I chose that so I could get accustomed to the stick for Final Round.
A week later I've got nothing.
