Just to let anyone in Northern California know. Southtown Arcade has an arcade port of the game right now.

2
v_v I'm pretty swamped on saturdays because of work...

3
Thanks so much for the contribution. It's pretty short notice so I'll try to shoot for starting up again at Southtown next weekend. Still got to talk to the owners if it's still okay. Who is still up for Melty in San Francisco?!

4
The only equipment I need is a PS2 that can play japanese games. Whether it's modded, a JP PS2, either one. I just need someone to bring that when we play. Without Mir, I have no one to rely on to provide that. I don't like to rely on other people, but it is something I don't have so I have to ask others. I'll try to remember that from now on and plan accordingly.

5
Mir is really swamped on Saturdays. I'd need someone to lend a setup to the group in order to do it at Southtown. Otherwise, I'm stuck.

6
It seems I'm caught flat-footed. I can't make it THIS week to GameCenter. Pretty upsetting, but we're just going to have to figure out how this will all work.

7
Seems we've got a problem. Mir can't make it this weekend and we're short a set-up. Unless someone manages to come with one, I can't run the event. If you can bring one in, that'd be great. All we need is a PS2 that can run JP games/modded.

8
Southtown Session going up. We've got it cleared for Saturdays folks! It'll be on alternating weeks now so every week will be Melty Blood somewhere. Credit to dakanya for the suggestion.

Time is up on the front page.

9
Have to cancel this week, but I'll try to figure out if we can get it rolling next week.

10
they better release it on cab, that would just be lame.. ._.

I don't expect there to be enough people to warrant getting a cab then. The interest is just not there. In the meantime I'll just enjoy coming out to the sessions. I'd like to help out and show support, but I don't really know anyone who plays this game

Just inviting people and being consistent does the most. :-D I really appreciate you showing up to events and doing your best every time.

11
I feel like we need a bigger turn out each week to do that. 6 people is good, but we need to really pack the place and get people out. Also, unless Melty Blood's developers release 1.07 on a cab, we might as well wait for 1.07 and get a comp-to-cab converter. It'd be cheaper for the arcade (Although paying 110 bucks + S&H for a game and anime you don't want is not exactly cheap)

12
Will talk to them about it. Southtown will open at 3 on Saturdays now so we'll probably stay less or later at night than usual.

13
Might have to cancel at Southtown this Sunday due to another ranking battle happening. From then on, I am fairly certain we can swing Saturdays from 3 to 9. I'll also see about GameCenter and figure out what day would be best as Friday's turnout was not very good.

14
Feel like in terms of Melty Blood, that was a very big success. Thanks a bunch for a good time, NCI crew!

15
Gonna go as well. So early ;-; But that's cool since the arcade opens at 10.

16
Glad everyone had fun! It was funny watching Thomas do his blockstrings and nearly guard break everybody. Half the time, I couldn't tell if the string ended or started! Was really glad everyone had a great time and I'll try not to be such a stick in the mud next time!

17
I don't know the actual parking garage breakdown, but there's one directly across the street. You can also park along the street on Sutter I believe. San Francisco is a journey in itself to drive around in.

18
Hey everyone!

Just giving you all a heads up. This Thursday, we will not hold our usual session. It will be moved to Friday. I'm toying with the idea of Saturday, but it will most likely be Friday. Our Southtown session, currently, is unchanged so it will be on Sunday.

Will put up the sessions on the main page. Let me know which you can make and where. If you can't, that's fine, but would be glad to see you. Also, I've been asking Southtown every so often about Melty Blood Actress Again: Current Code 1.07 and if we could get a cabinet for it. They said it's possible with the same board they use for PS3s and stuff, but it'd be a different experience all together. I have not talked to Myung yet, but I intend to do that face to face for better iteration of the idea. This is a big boon for our push to have the game in an arcade!

19
Sunday is hard because I volunteer to run the brackets at the ranking battles. I'm not taking it off the table; I just have to say it's a difficult day.

20
Unfortunately, I can't come tomorrow because of work :-(. If you want to get Melty Blood going, by ALL means, please do! We need that there.

I also have to discuss with you guys other days to do our Melty Mashups. Right now, -I- can't make thursdays. I start work again and I work from 2-7 Tuesdays and Thursdays. Theoretically, I could come, but I wouldn't get there till maybe 9, defeating the purpose of me hosting. Myung, the owner of GameCenter, has given the nod to Fridays. If you're free Friday, I'll change it to Fridays. If not, I'll think of other days that work for all of us.

Also, Southtown Arcade will start ranking battles every Sunday, not just every other Sunday. This means if we are going to have Melty Blood, we have all Saturday to do it there. When that goes into effect is not certain, but I will keep everyone posted. I also talked to them, and after all the good commerce that went down last Sunday, they'd like to make "Niche day" more a thing. Games like GG and Vampire Savior will be rotated in for that one day out of the week as well as free play on the countertop consoles.

@Dakanya: I've been thinking about what you said in regards to alternating the weeks so there's atleast a session once a week instead of twice every two weeks. With the new game coming out, I feel you couldn't be more right. So if you have a suggestion on how I should go about planning it/ what days I should avoid if you're doing any events at a certain day.

EDIT:

Changed the name of the thread a little to reflect that we have homes in GameCenter and Southtown, not just one.

21
Thanks for coming, hobbes! I'm glad you had a good time!

22
Thanks, Tone! That makes life easier! Hope to see as many people as possible 'round 1!

23
Well, my local arcade seems to like the idea. It's so far in the distant future that they could consider a cabinet utilizing a timer board like they do for Marvel. I really like where this is going because it's much more affordable than encouraging them to get the arcade board.

24
I think there's some confusion in this thread.  I don't think people are aware that we don't have to play a pc port of cc and that we can keep playing our outdated ps2 version and ignore this release.  You can stop complaining about the PC problems and go back to complaining about being out of date, which seems to get far less complaints.

I agree wholeheartedly. I want to see this in an arcade though, but nobody's made any mention if its jerry-riggable like an MvC3 cab.

25
Just a question: I've been trying to push my local arcade to get MBAACC. With a port readily available, do you think it's possible to make a PC to Cabinet port like people do with PS3/XBOX ports? I mean the technique is out there, and I figure it's probably a similar approach. If that's the case, I'd gladly like to see arcades go that route. Either way it goes, want it now!
