This is awesome, looks like some of my fav players such as Nakau, Kanna and SII are in.

Too bad grow didn't make it.

Not discouraged, because praciticing is my own business ;D

And maybe a little OT here, IMO It's not fun to go against people who are obviously on a different level of play. If I get to choose my opponent I'd rather play someone about as good as me, than someone whos too pro or too new to the game.

I removed the video thread because noone was posting video links and I didn't know if you guys really wanted it since everyone was posting in the other thread anyway.:slowpoke:

and I removed the Miyako basics thread because it is very dated, it doesn't even cover tech punish or OTG traps. :blah:

happy to see someone brought it up again though.

I don't play this anymore but I used to play this a lot when it was released. I use Rouga and Burai.

There are still a lot of issues with the game they need to fix, but it has been like months since the last patch, hopefully they're not abandoning the game since there are so much they could do to make this a great game.

I personally find 6Q better, because if you press Q to air throw and miss it, you'll shield instead which is nice since your opponent will probably be attacking anyway, so you can air throw them after the ex-shield.

Random curiosity, if I have circuit to burn, should I use it to finish an OTG with 214C? Personally, it feels like I'm giving my opponent more circuit than damage...

It depends, it's always nice to do more damage...but personally I don't think it's worth it...unless your opponent is low on health and a 214C would finish him off for sure. Circuit is important for W.LEN for both combo and EX Throw.

BTW here are some of the matches I did today:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eVMTzQKl-X0
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QVen50XwF8s

I'm having a lot of troubles vs pressure intense characters like Nanaya or Sion, it's so hard to get out once you'r stuck in a blockstring loop. GUSTAV isn't very good at V.Sion(his main is Sion) but he is still beating me like eight out of ten times. :psyduck:

There's a problem with saving replay

caster will desync if player A saves at a slot where player B already has a replay on it. (MBAC will ask player B if he wants to overwrite, while player A is already back at the character selection screen)

I had the idea of making a W Len video guide for fun but guess someone already made one so I'll just drop that idea. ;D

Good job with the video 8)

I'm beginning to think that 63214C somehow "grabs" low...

I've been playing against sion and Kouma recently, and 63214C somehow loses to sion 6b(lower level invincibility) and Kouma 214c like everytime.... :psyduck:

Akiha's Tea Room / Re: Sudden MB error. Any help on solving this.
« on: November 24, 2007, 07:51:54 PM »
My brother had the same problem before

My guess is that you have to run the game in an administrator account to play it without dvd.....on restricted logins(such as guest account) you need a copy of the DVD.

But I can't be sure though cause I've never had this problem myself before.

Akiha's Tea Room / Re: Tsukihime Question
« on: November 24, 2007, 04:47:06 PM »
The first question was about the manga  :V

and I can't read what len is from >_>

It's another game by type moon.

Actually Len did have a subtle role in Tsuikihime....the succubus Arc sent to Shiki as the reward for defeating Nero was actaully Len(the part where you get to pick which character to h with)

I don't know what you mean by the first question...

but Sion is from Melty Blood, and Len is from 歌月十夜....they did not appear in the original Tsuikihime game.

well I don't know about you guys but 22a works for me in my group, especially in the corner.

it doesn't suck, it's one of the better string enders Miyako has. When people begin to eat 22A -> 2c frametrap setup or 22A dash 2a, they'll start to anticipate the low attack after the stomp....so you can mix it up with something else like dash throwing or 623b.

It's all about guessing game in the end. dash 5a 5a 5a 5b 6b 2a 5c 22a is one of my favorite string, if you don't execute it quickly, there are easily  gaps between 2a 5c and 5c 22a which people sometimes fall for.....

623b is also a great move even if it has a lot of startup, and 236b 6b throw is still evil against people who doesn't know much about Miyako, these are some of the moves you can use in the middle of a string. >:D

I failed the first time cause I was too desperate to try the loop and became predictable. It worked wonder yesterday while I was playing against Sion. Things to note:
-just hit 5C 214C immediately after your opponent got hit, all Miyako's attacks can connect with 5C.
-it's easier to start the loop with dash attack(I use dash 2A) because of the momentom, and don't do it everytime because it's unsafe between gaps.

Miyako is beast,  :mystery: that so little people play her . :-\

Why do people use 214A > j.236C wakeup? Isn't it better to use the 214A as a hit confirm, and if it hits go to j.214C?

because it's safer on block? But it's a lot harder to connect, the timing is strict :psyduck:

I'm fine with 214A 214C myself

What is everyone's opinion on adding a 5c (1hit) before the 5b in the standard BnB.  It doesn't add any proration and on some characters it makes the air combo easier imo.

I thought the stardard BnB is 2a 2b 2c 5c 5b air combo bca bc throw ;D

You won't push yourself out in the corner. I made the last post because I figured the loop loses to button meshers(got 2Aed and shielded like mad, people get used to it really quickly), but I'll experiment on more of it tonight.  :mystery:
