OH!! Ha that makes sense I was wondering why i was just dashing so i started using E but now i know the other input. I can do the first couple of them already including air grab so I'm happy. now to just get even better.

Thanks that's exactly what I needed. I was just finishing it with regular Hadoken moves and i really wanted to air throw. I'm trying to now figure out whether I should go with Vsion or regular or Tohno or nanaya but im working with vsion right now. I played this a while ago when it was MBAC but things seem to be a bit different and i was never very into fight games back then like i am now. Thanks again for letting me know.

I'm just getting into this game learning combos and such and I just need an easy question answered. Ive been looking around and cant find what the AT stands for in the combo or if it means air tech? I can do the whole first one easily but just cant figure out how to do the air grab part. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0IU3Tenb-q4  I know it's a stupid question but it's holding me up from learning this game lol

Ha i remember making this post a long time ago.  Ive gotten alot better then when i started (aka when this thread was made)  but ive also stopped playing since i got better so im a little rusty.  Would anyone like to play this with me online for practice so i can get back in the groove of things?  It sure would be fun!

Wow i cant believe my post is still alive!?    Um Its been a while guys and i got that combo down a long time ago but i kinda stopped playing for a while and told my friend about the game and he is hooked so i gotta learn how to finish my combo with the grab cause i never really properly learned that.  but he doesnt know any combos so it doesnt matter.  Can someone meet me on a online match so they can teach me how im spose to finish this combo off.  I know my form is terrible after all the time off i had.  Also is this MBAA on teh computer yet?  I want it.

Ok so basically i know how to read the combos and all that stuff but i cant quite execute them especially in combat so im looking for a very exped nanaya person or someone who is just plain good at the game to teach me how to fight in game like online.  If your interested post in the chat that you are and send me a message on msn or aim if you think im on(most likely im not on aim).  I seriously need help or to just be pointed in the right track cause reading on how do these things dosent help and there isent a post on youtube to teach meh unlike with otehr characters.  I just wanna be good at paying Nanaya cause he is so cool.

thx guys for all the imput i guess il just keep playing cause i love the game i just gotta find a way to balance it between homework, mmo's, fps's and watching anime.

BTW: Is melty blood an anime series cause ive seen like clips on youtube that look as if it is?

well i guess just something seems off i guess that timing thing is right but i dunno this seems like it will take longer to get good at then other fighting games like teken or soul calibur or even street fighter (and i mean realy good)  i mean it dosent seem like i spent that much time on those games im like a god at teken and SF but i dunno i guess i just get frustrated when i try to even get close to ciel and she keeps throwing those swords.  It realy pisses me off i mean i can beat her but she has the cheepest tricks in the book.  I just dont want it to take like years like halo did for me i mean i was like pro at halo 2 but it took me a couple of years before i got that good and i still have alot of my skill.  As long as it dosent take that long im good.

Im not comprehending this game i mean granted its like my 3rd day playing it but i play the arcade all the time and stuff and i dont get any better i have a hard tim beating ceil and kokaku on 3 dificulty and i see barily any improvement i mean i have no idea how to get any better at this game i finally learned how to do those like 214A,B,C and 236A,B,C combos and they just arent practical in battle especially combos.  The only thing i can realy do even against cpu's is like button mash my way to victory.  I dunno i like this game and its good in theory but its hard to get good at.  there should be a program that helps you get better Ex. O2mania for o2jam.  Or some sort of video tutorial with visuals on the fingers (because im good at copying finger movements )  cause i know how to do it in theory but it just dosent work.  I guess it would be better on the ps2 though cause those are the only fighting games im good at are console ones.  Japan needs to step it up in the fighting game practicallity department cause alot of the things you do in this game are not practical or fun some of the time and even if you know what buttons your pushing it seems like button mashing from a spectators view.  I bet the arcade one is better for this too.

Edit: BTW anyone wanna play a ragnarok private server im getting kinda bored and need friends to hang out with i mean there are on average around 470 people online but i want to be with friends.

plus i cant get teh AD or the AAD to work but ive done the right button combo it just dont work.

and umm do you have to not have your opponent on the wall to do the standard combo?

Ok so basicly im someone who just got this game a few days ago and ive been playing the single player and against my friend who is better then me.  I am not sure how to realy do anything all i do is just button mash till im the last one standing or im dead.  Now im disturbed cause i loose a hell of alot especially online because i cant realy do combos except sometimes by accadent.  I got on the inernet and started searching for videos or some form of strategy i can understand.  Then i see on the Melty Blood wiki i see this like 2ABC and 5B and all this stuff and im all like what does this stuff mean i guess the letters mean the fighting moves but what are the numbers?    Then i see videos of people doing these insane finishing moves like nanaya's "slomo slash attacks" which i wanna learn so bad and by now im thuroughly confused.  I looked every where to see an explanation for these numbers but nothing so now im asking you guys WTF DO THESE FREEKIN' COMBO CODES MEAN!
Thank you i hope to get good at nanaya soon he is so cool.
