What happens if you try to play online with a mod user without having it?

You ruin their day.

The game doesn't synchronize inputs until just before the match starts, just values, so if you choose anything that doesn't require additional files or settings to be enabled in order to work, it will.

This includes Eclipse!Ries and Eclipse!Princess. This does not include Boss Characters like G Akiha and Dust. Not sure if it includes stages.

Congrats on making Eclipse selectable.

On the other hand, I'm never playing Ranked again, lol.

Test Mode for Steam Version [v1.02].

What's new:
- Added bosses to roster [include Ryougi Shiki and PS2 Archetype: Earth]
- Added Eclipse Style for all characters [replace Full Moon Style]

- Add the ability to select any style
- Add all playable stage in Stage Select [all modes]

Plus in archive you can find CE Table to select any stages.

Install: copy all files [except MBAACC.CT] in "MELTY BLOOD Actress Again Current Code" game folder with .exe replacing.

P.S. Thanks Erkz for all your work.

That's neat. You really should make your own topic for that though - you'd get more visibility that way.

Natsu-ken, good but some files seems kinda broken. For example, end of data/b_aoko_9_c.txt looks like:

Are you planning to add scrapped arenas like Bloodstained Back Alley? Damien and Neco Chaos Black G666 files... hmm...
P.S. I want to have your mod for Canival Phantasm version too.
It probably looks broken because he used an extractor for the Carnival Phantasm version on the steam version. They changed the encryption method a little bit for the steam version.

So like, I know I said I wasn't going to update this mod or anything until some time passed, etc.

But apparently "Hisui and Kohaku" have been broken and unplayable for two years without anyone noticing.

So I fixed that.

Special thanks to ArchDemon for pointing it out.

See the first post for an updated download link.

Small mod by me for original version of  game. Requires trainer.

Adds Eclipse Style to regular version of Walachia, Miyako, Koha+Mech, Aoko, White Len, Ryougi Shiki and Arcueid (uses PS2-Hime moves) and Special Half-Moon Style to regular Akiha.

Have some glitches: Koha+Mech 22+A/B/C pallete glitch, for example.

That's pretty cool.

Will be a version for Boss Rush Mode Mod for Steam or not. People want it so much I think. ArcSys have translated it.
And for arenas... Kara no Kyokai, especially. I tried dumper on files of Steam version and it kinda suck with them.
I dunno yet.

See, I took a look at the files and saw that it's translated, yeah. Which means they put some effort into something that was originally removed. So, in the case that they are planning to do something about that, I do not want to mess it up by releasing something unofficial and half-baked.

I'm going to wait a bit and see before I decide whether or not I'm going to update the mod for the Steam version. (Or do any mods for it actually.)

Also yeah; the Kara no Kyoukai stage is still there because I think it shows up in the story mode at some point, but they straight up deleted the BGM for it, haha.

To anyone that still uses this, mirror moon has released their own version, which includes two extra announcers - Melty Blood's Walachia and ReAct's White Len. Also, instead of soft writing the announcer to RAM like mine does, their version lets you save the selected announcer so that you don't need to run it every time you want to change the announcer.

You can grab it here.

Akiha's Tea Room / Re: Order in playing Melty Blood? Also hello
« on: August 29, 2015, 05:36:40 PM »
React contains both the very first Melty Blood story [with an updated battle system - this is really important] and a sort of sequel story told through the Arcade Routes. Act Cadenza IIRC shares most of the same story as React with some minor changes; and additional stories for new characters that were added later on. MBAACC is the sequel to both and IIRC the story, for the most part, ignores Act Cadenza and much reference is made to the first game.

Do not play the original Melty Blood.

Furthermore, Melty Blood is in itself a sequel to another franchise called Tsukihime, so if you want further backstory on some of the characters, you could look into that too.

All in all though, the story isn't very important in Melty Blood, so you can just jump into MBAACC if you want.

Getting a weird crash whenever I try to open the program.

Maybe related to the update feature?

Nvm, figured it out, haha. If anyone else gets this message, it's because your antivirus program blacklisted the caster update page.

Random interjection.

I dunno if it bugs anyone as much as it does me that when using caster the Kara no Kyoukai and G Table stages don't have labels or icons (not that it's caster's fault; they're not in the game to begin with), but I made a small fix for it if anyone wants it.

Grab it here. Just drag the GRP folder into the main melty folder (the one with the exe and stuff).

This is probably about 3 years too late but eh.  :prinny:

Does anyone still have a working link for the MBAC v1.03A trainer? All the links are down currently. Thanks in advance.

This should be it.

Edit: Updated links in the first post to working ones. Had no idea people still used these things. @_@

So I finally got around to trying it out and for some reason my AV freaked out pretty bad.

This may or may not be why it keeps getting deleted from file sharing sites.

Any idea what's causing the AV trigger?

Yo, mad props for all these improvements. Can't wait to try them out.

Melty Blood Auditorium / Re: MBAACC Announcer Voice Mod

I need more Aoko announcer in my life.

I would also be very wary of a coin-op mod. It's one thing to be hacking the game for random bits, but enabling something that would directly enable bootlegging the arcade version is something I would strongly advise against doing, even given how old the game is.
Sound advice. I'll keep it in mind.

This is really nice, but is there any way to set it to save the announcer you pick?
I... honestly never expected anyone to want to keep one specific announcer, so I kind of overlooked that. I could probably update the program so that it patches the MBAACC exe with a specific announcer so that you don't need to keep running the mod to keep selecting the same voice over and over.

I'll see when I can get around to it.

Nice add on Ekrz, Miyako voice too op. Can you make work the Coin Operated mode in game? I know it's built in somewhere when I saw it with the decompiler but obviously I don't have any idea how to do it.

Also. I remember someone else asking about this a while back. IIRC I looked into it but couldn't make it work.

Totally unrelated: I was wondering if it will be possible to edit color palettes in MBAACC ala Dreamcast MvC2?

There shouldn't be any real problem to load custom palettes, but editing them might be an issue. IIRC the palettes are 256 colors per character. And the palettes will have to be edited externally.

But once those two issues are sorted out, there shouldn't be any issue loading them.

So does anyone remember the extra announcer voices that you could unlock in the PS2 version of MBAC?  :V

No? Okay. Did anyone ever wish that those announcer voices were available in MBAACC?

Also no? Alright then, well the wish you never made has come true! This mod allows you to use the announcer voices from MBAC PS2 in MBAACC PC. Now you can relive the hype that was Hisui's announcer voice! Woohoo!
