Sorry.  I'm still here.  I haven't checked the boards in months actually.  The idea that I've been lurking is incorrect, besides clicking on a link or two someone posted on irc.  I replied to the emails sent to me promptly, and explained what I could there.  I suggested a refund a while back but everybody seemed more keen on wanting their sticks.  I wanted to get them done so that you guys could enjoy them but it just didn't happen.  I didn't mean to mislead chibi by getting a deadline from him, but I figured if I had one I could pressure myself to do it faster.  I did work on it but I didn't finish though.

I've refunded chibi and darth trey as they asked me recently through email.  When i do happen to finish their sticks, they're free to buy them at that time if they want.  They'll have first choice in the matter, otherwise they'll be put up for public sale. 

Motoh, if you're reading this, this option is up to you too.  Of course I'll consider discounting the sticks even more the 2nd time around for you guys considering how long i made you wait.  The first 5 or 6 sticks didn't take me so long so I figured I could keep up that pace but it didn't go that way.

about kuenai, he admited to ignoring emails purposely even before he disappeared.  I haven't visited the forums in a long time but I've always replied to any email sent to me within a day or two.  I do lament the fact that I'm in a similar situation as he was, but I actually didn't preach over his timeliness so much as the god awful quality of his work.

yawn...the len player was excellent.  Both were pretty good.  Well the len player handed me my ass pretty thoroughly(bad match up), the akiha player was good too, I matched him pretty well.  Only problem was I had played 15 matches in a row before i played him, my hands died.  Personally rankings don't really matter, its about what you can do when the money is on the line.  I gotta find weaknesses in bad match ups, thats my problem.

umm.. thanks for the ovations but jaxx, you only won 1 single match out of like 9 or 10 before we quit.  You also only played 10 matches before you played me, I kept a mental log of the matches we had in AZ. 

Also, adding that the len matchup is bad is a little cheeky considering I mentioned it before you and Xian played and you emphasized how you've "NEVER had ANY problem with ANY Len player", and when i asked you about bell you were like "he's awright." 

so what more do you want xian is good, and I had a problem with him, even when I played len's in cali i had no problems with them.  You on the other hand, yea you beat me, but i gurren-damn-tee that i will beat you next time.  Matter of fact I'll put $50 on a race to 10, no bullshit.  So next time your down here, or at a tourney where I'm at, or at a toast or somthing, I'll put my money where my mouth is, can you?

Wow, I can't believe how arrogant you are.  We were literally just toying with you, but you really think you can beat me FT10 so much that you'd put 50 dollars on it because you took 1 match out of like 10?  That's so ridiculous, please understand how weak you are.  I don't take melty seriously enough that I'd bother wasting my money to travel to a tourney to play (*edit* correction, waste money AGAIN, to TRY to go to a non major nationwide tourney.  I am hopefully going to attend EVO world *end edit*), and the only reason I'd ever go back to AZ is for a social visit and not for melty.  The only reason I took the trouble to travel to AZ over christmas is because I didn't want to spend time with my family the entire time, and I thought we were going to WT9, and I was interested in the prospect of playing psylocke in person with the addition of playing some casuals with other players, plus it's Cali.  If by some happenstance we're in the same place at the same time, a 50 dollar money match would be fine to me, unless you make some vast improvements by that time, you're literally just handing me free money.

I wasn't trying to insult you or anything in my previous post, so if you're trying to make this challenge to salvage some of your pride, you should just take a lesson from your fellow AZ players, and be a good sport.  They seemed to understand the concept of casuals and didn't make excuses or exaggerations about their losses on the forum.  Humility is something you could use a little bit of, rather than using lame excuses like you were tired from a handful of matches, or that your stick MUST be broken.  I don't understand this whole concept of money matches as challenges of pride in the first place, if it's a matter of pride, i rather make the opponent do something humiliating rather than shell out a bit of cash   Seriously, if you don't respect me now, you won't respect me if you lost to me again either, and that's all that really matters.

Sorry I couldn't update sooner, I've been working and doing various errands and "man jobs" for my parents and aunt. 

Ok folks, here's the deal.  I got the little gas mask thing and I finish painting darthtrey's and motoh's stick's, chibi's i still have to do, however, my parents called for me to come into town last wednesday and they had me hitch a ride with this guy they know in college station, so I packed all my tools and stuff to take down to my aunt's place (who conveniently has a garage) to finish the sticks.  However, there wasn't enough room for my tools in this guy's car because he already packed his trunk full of merchandise for his business, so unfortunately I had to leave all my tools back home.  I would've gone back to grab some minor things but he was in a rush.  I'm really sorry guys, especially because i wanted to have these things to you by christmas but that doesn't look like it's going to happen.  I probably won't be able to get back to my place back at college until mid january, I know i keep pushing the completion date back but there's not a whole lot I can do right now about it.  I promise that I'll recompensate you guys for the wait and do my best to make your sticks pretty.  If there's anything you're unsatisfied about after receiving the sticks, I'll do my best to rectify it.

In the future, I'll only sell premade sticks so I won't be taking any money or orders until i'm done making a stick.  If any of you three, darthtrey, motoh, mchibi, NEED a refund, I can oblige, don't let my costs stop you since the sticks are almost finished so I can recoop any losses by selling them once i get back home. 

Sorry again, it's pretty flakey but oh well.  I'll always be around so don't worry about me running off with your money or anything.

I should clarify that this isn't like, an offer for a custom job or anything.  I'll either bring a new stick if i have time or one I've already  made.  Either way though, if anyone is interested in buying whatever I bring, I'm willing to part with it.  Artwork may seem important but it's as easy as printing it out, unplugging the buttons, putting that shit underneath the plexiglass and plugging the buttons back in, so if you don't like the artwork you can always change it later.

lawl, thanks for the concern guys, i appreciate how good you guys have been to me.  i'm just feeling kinda meh, call it depression if you will, but i'm not sick so there's no danger to my health or anything, i doubt i'm stressed either so no danger to mental health.  Don't worry about that.  It's not like stick making can make me worse, it's more like, i'm just not in the mood to do it.  Although that's true, i also just can't do it with finals and the weather, and the money thing.  Money came in the bank today so i'm good on that.  After finals i'll probably ask someone to take me to go get my gas mask for painting.

Well crap. That's the command interpreter.

I discovered today just how bad MB can 'forget' joystick directions. Apparently, if I'm blocking for an extended period of time, and I go from 1 to 2 (Downleft to Down) and hit Q to dodge... I don't get dodge. Because MB forgot that I was holding down. This is especially bad when waking up against Ciel.

ohshi- and I always thought that was just my fault.

Yeah sorry.  I've gotten so, i don't like to use the word depressed since i'm not sad, but i think it's still the correct term for it, that I don't even have the energy to visit the forums daily.  I'm always on aim though so if you ever need to contact me, aim or msn should do. 

I shouldn't have a problem with finishing the cases before christmas, they're halfway done, been halfway done for a while.  I just need to paint them, make the control panels, and wire them.  Though that's really more like 80% of the work left to go.  All the parts I have on hand and artwork has been printed too.  If you want to change the artwork on your sticks feel free to tell me, I haven't made the control panels yet so the locations for the buttons and stick aren't set yet.  I'll be done with finals on the 12th, my loan should be coming in on the 6th as well.  I'll probably take a day or two for rest after finals and work on the sticks until I finish them since I'll be relatively free unless my parents force me to work at our business, but if I explain I have customers I need to take care of they'll probably leave me alone until I'm done.  As soon as I finish I'll take some photos and send them out priority mail which means that as long as I send them out before the 20th, the sticks will be in your hands on before christmas. 

Oh and motoh, i'm in like, southeast texas, snow?  Are you kidding me?  It was in the 80's the other day, not really hot persay, but it's december, it cooled down last night though so i'm happy about that, but it's windy again.  I assume it's because of all the weather changes and stuff, won't be an issue once I get my loan in and i get some stuff to do my painting indoors though.

Sorry guys.  It's still windy, i figure it's because the weather's changing.  I have projects and finals now too.  I'll be done with finals on the 12th, I'll hopefully be able to work on them after that.  My parents want me to come home to help with the family business as soon as possible but I need to take care of you guys before I can do that so I'll have to tell them to wait on me for a while.   My loan should be coming through and in my bank sometime next week so I'll be able to go buy the stuff to do the painting indoors so weather won't be an issue anymore. 

I dunno what I can do to make up for making some of you wait so long, for now I'll offer a couple of options that are feasible for me right now if you want it.

1. I give like a 20 dollar sorry refund
2. Offer a free blank case, which you can keep, sell, give to a friend, etc. 

I'm really sorry about this guys.  I didn't expect to get all depressed and be busy like this, but I can't take it back so I'll try to gracefully finish things up here.  In the future I may have sticks for sale but I won't be taking any more orders.  Peace.

Oh, btw, I know that most people try to be all nice and polite to stick makers but feel free to make any complaints you want.  If you're pissed, say it, no need to hold back, I know it's unacceptable to make you guys wait this long.  I'm not Finkle or something afterall heh, and I said I'd try to make it a month at the latest and it's well beyond that.  I wouldn't worry about me not finishing before christmas, but I did fail to make good on my word on completion dates.  It's terrible since the cases have all been sitting in my dining room for the last couple of months, unfinished.

Because his was shoddy AND slow.   Mine's just slow for now.  And mind you, not a single person who ordered from him even received anything, besides me, and it was 6 weeks for just a case, that was poorly made.  I've already shipped out 4 sticks, and zeph's has been done for over a month, i just haven't gotten around to shipping it :/  Motoh's and Darth's are sitting on my dining room table still waiting to be finished.  The only one I haven't actually started on is your's chibi, since you were the last to pay anyways.

nah sorry.  I couldn't get motivated last week and i'm going through another hell week, sorry.  Exam monday, paper tuesday, exam wednesday, exam thursday, paper next monday. 

It's a bad excuse, but I'll get to the sticks when I get to them.  Honestly I've been kinda in a bad place the last few weeks and all I do is sleep.  I haven't been to class in a while, probably a good 4 or 5 weeks (thank God I'm still passing though), and i just sleep because I don't want to do anything.  I can feel it eating away at my mind, all the sleep i'm doing, sometimes up to 16 hours a day including naps.  When I AM awake, it's already dark and even if I wanted, I can't really work on the sticks because people are sleeping. 

Anyways, if I find myself taking too much longer, I'll send you guys a little apology refund for taking so long.  I'm well beyond the 4 weeks max limit I tried to set for myself for you guys.  I think after I'm done with this batch, I won't be taking any orders until I'm a bit chipper.  I might have a premade stick out once and a while, but I'll just have to see how it goes.

well, i got one case painted before the weather turned bad and then turned cold and windy, and then i had exams, and now i've been out of town since friday after my classes.  I'm stuck in Louisiana because our car broke down and I got an exam monday that I guess i'm gonna have to talk to my prof about since the autoshops are closed today, so i'm going to miss it.  When I get back I'll try to get the painting and other stuff done.  I have to put another final coat on motoh's stick and then sand and polish it, darth's I laid down the primer but need to put the color coat on still.  I should be done soon but like I said before, it was windy back home before i left, I'm going to look into buying a mask with filters so i can paint inside and not have the fumes give me like, mental problems.  Sorry again, i was procrastinating for a couple of weeks before but the last 2 or 3 weeks things have kinda been out of my hands.  School stuff has settled down somewhat so mostly it's just me needing to get back into town and get someone to take me to the hardware store for the mask or for the wind to settle down.  Since the weather changed from like 90 to 60 F, i'm guessing northern winds are just gusting about.

Actually i was looking at what to do on indoor painting.  I can just set some newspaper down and on the wall and buy a mask with the filters and stuff and i should be able to do it that way.  I'll look into it more if it stays windy.  The weather changed recently so it's been really windy for now.

haha, sorry to you too darth.  the weather's fucking beautiful and this hellish week is almost over but it's so damn windy I can't do any painting.  I'm wondering if I can just paint inside if i lay newspapers everywhere.  I'm not sure how bad the fumes and overspray of spray paint would be indoors though.

Shouldn't be a problem chibi.  I'll let you know once I get it started.  I've been putting working on sticks off for a while and then when i was ready to get to it because i noticed how long i was taking, i got all this school stuff going on, and then the weather goes bad, and then it changes to cold and it's all windy and crazy so I can't paint.  I appologize for that.  All the parts and supplies I need I have on hand though so there shouldn't be any real delays other than time constraints and weather.

weather delayed the sticks this weekend and exams up until thursday, folk's are visiting this weekend but if the weather holds true, i'll be able to paint motoh's and darth trey's sticks.  Pics will be posted then, unless you guys want to see photos of the unpainted frames.  (they're just sprayed with primer for now)
