I just played some netplay with a friend of mine. We had about a 20-30 ping to each other and the game chose a delay of 1, but the game lagged horrifically during the character select and randomly during the fighting. Does anyone know if we can manually select the delay or increase it?

That's some sort of problem with the netplay it seems. I had a delay of 2 with a ping of 15 playing with someone, but the FPS lag was ridiculous, and my CPU was shooting up to 100% usage for whatever reason.

It leaked, but let's buy it anyway. Who cares if it's initially more expensive, you can sell the Carnival Phantasm blu-ray later and in the end will be cheaper then a stand alone version. The game alone wont cost much less then that, and there will be no blu-ray to sell and get money back in a stand alone version. Plus, they deserve it, everybody who plays Melty Blood knows that (but scrubs maybe, but who cares about them).

It's the netplay patch.

Confirmed that you need a serial number to netplay, the game got leaked on 4chan.

Seems like a questionable decision for a game that will not get a standalone release.  I mean yeah, piracy is bad, but it seems like a waste of development time.

Yeah it does seem pretty dumb. If it was a standalone game at least it'd be easier/cheaper to buy.

Wonder how long it'll take before that gets worked around though.

How to we apply this update? Do we download the new trial or do we run some kind of updater in the current trial?

- Trial ends December 29th at 8am.

- Day 1 Update for retail version.

I'm assuming you get the game and then download a patch.

Anyone else having FPS issues on Netplay? Playing with a friend from Sweden(I'm in US) we had a very stable connection, although a constant 49 FPS.

I tried with another friend much closer, and we had a very unstable FPS that would spike up to 60 and down to 30 very randomly.
