MBAACC is at UFO.  However it doesn't work yet?  Hopefully we'll find the component we need to get it up and running in the near future.

Bonkler are you Jason?

So UFO is confirmed for getting MBAACCDDEEFFGG.  Hopefully it will get here before July 31st :V

Yep, it's me.

Jeff, right? I'll come definitely come running for MBAA:CC #Reload Turbo Sugoi~! Shift when it's up.

Is anyone from UFO going to Evo? We should definitely meet up if so.

yah I am Jeff

Mostly SSF4 players from UFO going to Evo, fubarduck is entering Melty as well but I don't think any of our ANIME GAME players are going.  No money, UFO job barely pays bills as it is :V

Random question here and pretty much unimportant/silly, but I doubt it'd be possible at all to record the matches from it if it is a main game?

Sadly I don't have my own stuff to do so (despite it being pretty much pointless to do so) but I dunno, I think it'd be kinda neat to record some of the matches, at least the finals maybe? If anyone could?  :V

Unlikely given that SF4 will probably still be going on during the Melty tournament :V

There's a possibility that Josh will show up for his shift in time to record at least some of the matches if he wants to, though he'll probably be saving tape/battery for recording Gundam mostly.

next UFO tournament will probably have MBAA as a main game

MBAACC will be out this summer; likelihood of UFO getting it mostly depends on cost.

Seems feasible to break 5k off a 2A via 214C corner combos, at least in arcade.  Dunno what they changed in terms of damage/proration in console though.  Stuff like 2A (5B) 5C 6C 5A6AA 2C 214C 5BB 8 jCB djBC AT does a big chunk.  I know I've gotten ~4k off braindead mashy stuff like 2AABC 214C whiff 5A 5BB 8 jCB djBC AT or whatever.

Also it's possible to 214C whiff 5A, dash jC into whatever air combo from around half a screen out of the corner.  I forget if the damage was worth it though... but I guess if your heat was about to run out, why not?

-EDIT-
thx to pbj for linking the joybox vid of the proper iabdC ender http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kR9BThEs_Ic#t=4m42s
blah blah 214C IABD whiff jC, land, 2C 5A(whiff)6AA BE6C 22A (half charge) air combo.

If you actually hit the iabdC, shrug.  6C into whatever is the followup for that that I've seen.

Preemptive jB works sometimes against the likes of Sion/Akiha jC and such, but it's not as reliable as I'd like.  Same with jC, I guess.

jA would work out more if not for anti-A armor or whatever the system mechanic is.

also
5B 5C 6C 5A6AA, link 2C 6C 5BB 8 jBC djBC AT is like 5.2k midscreen, fairly easy (way easier than BE6C iadC combo).  Maybe 5BB whiff 5A jCB djBC AT is more damage, dunno.

Near corner, whatever to 2C 214C whiff 5A, 5BB aerial is pretty good.  Saw some Japanese vid of someone doing blah blah 214C iabdC, land, 6C and then screw up the rest of the combo :V but that's looking to be a stronger variant for sure.

Not true. You can't jump cancel that 6C because you already used it for the iadBC so the only way to continue would be by specials or EX.

Well first off that's iabd (instant air backdash) C.  iadBC would put them too high.

Also the ender is more along the lines of 6C 5BB whiff 5/2A, jC(B) (s)djBC AT.

623B/C ender gives way better oki than high altitude airthrow.

tiggy-
for the 421B JC land thing, there isn't really any timing at all, just jump as soon as the elbow hits, land, 5AA into whatever!  Whiff throw is easier/better, though.

I had suspected as much, but on closer inspection they are cancelling her j421B into... something.  Whiff airthrow is my guess?  Can't quite tell but it's the only thing I can think of.

I second this. In that vid, when she was doing the combo on Akiha, after the j421b there's the "are?" Miyako says when she whiffs a throw.
yeah confirmed it's a whiffed airthrow, still working out the timing on the rest of the ender but it makes even the basic air combo followup more stable on some characters.

IIRC she does, I only played C-Miyako a bit but I remember doing j22 and thinking it was pretty hilarious.  I'll double check tomorrow.

Also watching the a-cho ranbats, Kou F-Miyako does whatever to 623BB, land, 236B > j421B, land, 2C XX 623BB, land, 236A, jAC JC djABC or something to that effect.  Hrmmmmmmmmmm.

Recent H-VSion combos have been looking something like...
2A 5B 2B 5C 5A 6AAC, 5A(whiff) 6AAC, 5A (whiff) 6AAC, 2C summon/623C...
...which is pretty beefy... is it character specific?  No clue, I've also seen whatever 5C 5A 6AAC, dash 6C, dash 2C whatever.

Fun times.  Most recent H-VSion vids I've seen have this rather than Malice B&Bs, with occasional Malice or 3C air combo to j236C for tech trap I guess?  Easier to convert random hits into j236C combo, though.

Was messing with the bigger ender to F-Miyako's B&B, can't get the last elbow drop to connect.  Maybe I need to cut/add a hit somewhere?

whatever -> 6C XX 623B delay B, land, 236B > 421B JC, land, 5AA XX 236A > 421B... etc. is what I was going for, can't get that final elbow though.  After the elbow it was something like late JC jBC airthrow at least?  I haven't seen any more recent F-Miyako vids so this is all memory  :psyduck:

IIRC, they only use the ground version of the elbow once for that combo. So after 5AA x 236A, it should be something like: jAC jc. JBC airthrow, or cancel the last jC into air EX elbow for a guaranteed knockdown. Also remember that that elbow wallslam combo is character specific, so on some characters you don't need to do the jC link after the elbow. On Shiki Tohno and Sacchin (idk who else), you drop the jC link.

Makes sense to me!  Haven't really seen any F-Miyako vids recently so I pretty much forgot the full ender but now that I think about it, that sounds right.  Guess I'll play with it more tomorrow.
