I posted this a while back at the DL forums, Meltybread, and the Berkeley thread, but I also need feedback from the people here.

2002 vanilla or UM? Who plays kof in Norcal? I know 707 played XI, but in reality that's not kof. How many people do you actually think plays up here? And who is LOLI running AH3?

Iono, I just put in random names to run things; nothing is set in stone.  KoF is still TBA

Once again, thanks for coming out people.  I do want feedback from people about how to make our tournaments better.  Also, Bell, I took your advise to heart and will make MB not run on a crappy schedule.  All in all, the tournament was successful, however I need to get some constructive feedback from the players and other -noteworthy- tournament organizers.  I posted this a while back at the DL forums, but I also need feedback from the people here.

The Future of NCI

I'd say we divide people based on region. The reality is that the BB scene is big enough to hold regionals at different locations. For e.g., we can host monthly ranbats at Sac, East Bay, South Bay, and SLO Cal. The premise for doing this is this, 'Build the FG scene at the local level; not at the macro scale.' After six months, we can bring every -seeded- regional team together for a battle royale!

Since GG/MB is smaller, they can do a monthly ranbat in the same location. Doing this solves four problems:

1) Venues; smaller tournaments means smaller space to host tournaments.
2) Time Flexibility; in the event you can't make it to one tournament, you have the option to host it at another location.
3) Lots of Opportunities; you have numerous opportunities to seed yourself in any one of these regional tournaments.
4) Less Manpower; you don't need to have a lot of staff/volunteers to run this tournament.

Drawbacks:

1) Small Turnouts; enough said.
2) Lost Communication; hosting too many events in a single month gets lost in translation.
3) Loss of Commitment; it takes a lot of energy to run tournaments...let alone organize five of them in a single month.
4) No SoCal people coming up unless it's a grand event.

Here's how the tournament would look like:

- Week 1: MB/GG NCI Ranbat
Hosted by: KatanDash and Tsubasa
- Week 2: Sacramento NCI Regional Ranbat
Hosted by: Spirit Juice
- Week 3: South Bay NCI Regional Ranbat
Hosted by: Dacidbro and Aginor
- Week 4: East Bay NCI Regional Ranbat
Hosted by: DKL

Yeah I was totally waiting for the 5v5 and then John was like OK GUYS THAT'S THE END into hypedog combo to finish off the stream.

I didn't want to end the stream, but we had to clean up.  :(  All in all, I learned a lot by hosting this tournament and I'm taking all our mistakes into account; MB and GG will be given double the attention it deserves.  They are, after all, the main crux of what made NCI to what it is today.  I hope you guys won't be discouraged and continue to show support.

Yeah, sorry about MB running so late.  BB had some stupid issues with people unable to decide on who should be teams.   :prinny:  Otherwise, thanks for repping the MB community guys.  I'm going to think of a way for you guys to get more attention.

11
Okay guys.  The moment you've been waiting for...Raffle prizes.

I decided to donate my entire sadlife collection.
"Why?"
- Cause I can.

"But WHY?"
- I'm tired of sadlife and want to grow up.

"I WANT IT!"
- lol k, i don't care

"I WANT MIKU!"
- enter a tournament

"I DON'T WANT TO!"
- it's not my fault that you're a poor NEET.

"I HATE YOU!"
- i love you too.

"FINE I'M GOING TO ENTER!"
- good.  troll successful.

"U R A NICE GUY!"
- it takes one to know one.

Tsubasa, I need your email to give you the excel spreadsheet for the final pre-reg list.  Thanks

13
Okay, instead of PRE-REGISTERING your name with a different handle, HOW ABOUT YOU TELL ME INSTEAD?!?!

14
I saw it and read it n' edited it.  I used seed cause I was tired and didn't think straight.

15
Quote from: STenSatsu
Tao, could you confirm if I have to be there before 11:30am even if pre-reged in order to sign up for cs? Just need to make sure on when I need to leave.

Important post about Pre-Reg and On-site registration.

You must be there before 11:30am regardless of whether or not you pre-reg for BBCS, GGAC, or MBAA.  The pre-reg will only seed you into the brackets.  On-site registration, with payment, will enable you to participate in the tournament.

So, for GG/MB people, you guys can come to the onsite registration and grab some lunch outside.  There are plenty of cheap eateries to munch on in the middle of downtown Berkeley.  Remember, NO FOOD ALLOWED SCRUBS!  If I see it, I will take it away!

16
I taken it off CT.  :3

Tournament fee only applies if you play in the tournament.  If you're coming for casuals, then you won't have to pay anything.  The only exception is that tournament setups will have priority over casuals.

Oh kira, can you give me your email/phone?

24
2nd posts contains some really important information about parking in the middle of hell.

$3 Stream + Venue Fee
The $3 will be towards payment for the venue and to Iplaywinner stream.  This does NOT entitle you use of ANY Eudemonia equipment whatsoever.  Please be respectful to Dean and the Eudemonia staff.  He's already been gracious enough to set aside space for the tournament.

You are, however, more than welcome to pay to play on his setups.

25
If you're not participating in the tournament, then you don't have to pay a venue fee.
