Finally played some matches today with H-Roa.  214a/b/c is air-unblockable, fuck yeah.

So I actually spent time messing with this character and I found some interesting things.

In C-mode as a standard combo you can do:
2a-2b-5b-5c-2c-412a-j.b-dj.b-j.c-j.214b. For about 3.8k.
If they are in the corner you might be able to tech punish them, as they tech very close to the ground where you land.

In the corner you can do:
Groundstring-5c(all hits)-j.a-j.b-j.c-214a-land-5a-5c-236(B)-2a-236c. For around 4.2-4.6k
You should be able to get some more damage if you do something like 2c-5c(1 hit)-5b-j.b-j.c-j.a-dj.b-dj.c-j.214a, but I have yet to get the correct height to do the j.214a, and continue the combo.

In corner combos you can cross yourself up after the j.214a, I am trying to find a way to use this to your advantage by using 412a to launch them back into the corner and repeat the combo, I haven't done it successfully yet though.

Her 22c seems to give her really good oki, as it hits 4 times, leads to guard breaks if they jump.  Use it like the old 22b or 22c plants.
214c is NOT overhead.

So me and H-F Blade are practicing some F Ryougi combos, here is what we have gotten so far:

If you are very close to the opponent you can do this anywhere:
2a-5b-2b-5c-b rekkas- 2a-5b-j.b(1 hit)-j.c-dj.b(1 hit)-dj.c-grab, for around 4.2k.  If you lead off with a j.c instead of 2a it deals 5070 on V. Sion.  You can do 2b-5c for the relaunch and it does a little more damage.  Works on all characters so far, including Len.

If you have a knife you can do
2a-5b-2b-5c-b rekkas-2a-22a (or 22b, does not work in corner)-walk forward 2b-5c-j.b(1 hit)-j.c-dj.b(1 hit)-dj.c-grab, for a couple hundred more than the previous combo, and looks really cool.  With a j.c instead of 2a this deals 5237 on V.Sion.

Ground string-2c-3c-22a-5a-5b-j.b(1 hit)-j.c-dj.b(1 hit)-dj.c-grab Roughly 3.5+
You can do j.b(2 hits)-j.c-dj.c-grab instead the damage is about the same damage.
After the grab you can land right on the dagger depending on where on the screen you did the combo and be safe to pick it up.

We also found that you can combo off the 3c into j.b but the timing is pretty fucking strict,
Ground string 2c-3c-(Jump forward).b(2 hits)-j.c-(double jump straight up).b(2 hits)-j.c-grab  Does about 4k, can't seem to get it on characters with small air hitboxes.

Sup Chicago peoples, I'm going to waste all the money I saved up from working my life away to come to Anime Central this year.  Just wondering if there was going to be a tourney there(nothing up on the official site yet it seems)  or if anyone was going to get a gathering going?  I'll bring my laptop and all that stuff just to have a set up anyway in my hotel room.  HeartNana I would really like to get the chance to play you and the rest of the Chicago players if that is possible, since you will be there hopefully there won't be any problems meeting up.  :psyduck:
Can't wait for this thing to happen.  Thanks all.
A GG^C is fine too...

Melty Blood Auditorium / Re: Guard meter
« on: February 01, 2008, 03:11:29 PM »
Useless information:

There was an invisible guard meter in MB.  If you blocked enough attacks, your character would get a reddish tint and then get guard crushed and take 300% damage.

Vital Source when depleted made you dizzy, though not the traditional dizzy.  No air recovery whatsoever (though it's not like there wasn't more than enough stun anyway), longer hitstun on the ground, and possibly more stuff that I can't remember.

You could deplete Vital Source in several ways.  First and foremost, hitting the opponent did this very well.  Stuff like backdashing/dashing/airdashing decreased it, I think shielding did too.
I remember shielding depleting the meter really fast if you held it.

Alright. I've got mad hype here. I'm going to be importing Actress Again and will probably be installing into a supergun cabinet for portability (Evo, West Toast, etc). I will take MONEY DONATIONS to help pay for the cabinet. I do not think I will charge for play in general, but I would love for people to be generous in their donations as I will be shouldering the cost for the machine.
Hey Choco if AI doesn't end up getting AA, which is definitely a possibility given how long it took to get GG^C, I will pitch in for the cab and drive over just to get some matches in.  Also on irc you said something about it being an easily transportable one, so even more reason to pitch in.

Kohaku / Re: Soooooooooooooooooooo, let's talk Kohaku.
« on: December 03, 2007, 11:04:46 AM »
Something I noticed after they made the Arc Drive unblockable was that if you KD then 22c on wake up and they block it then use the Arc Drive, it will attempt to hit the person while they are in the hitstun of the move, but it can't hit while the person is in hitstun so you may actually just fly through the opponent and crash into the wall.  Rather funny.  So the old set up with it guard crushing is completely gone and worthless.  Not to mention that you can bara-super jump out of the 22c tree iirc(Unless you are kohaku or M-Hisui).

Kohaku's Magical Garage / Re: The Bara Cancel (Bunker Cancel) Thread
« on: November 27, 2007, 10:45:43 AM »
What would be the easiest way to bara a 22 move?  I've tried 2214 but I usually get just the bunker, and 2142 which is often the reverse dp, (most likely because I hit 1 on accident) or is just a bunker.  Is there a different motion that would be more efficient for this, like uhh 21242 or something to that effect?  Thanks.

Great matches to everyone I played, Lina, Aaron, Alex, Renzo and Meru.  It was awesome to see such a large turnout.

Enhance would be cool.  Merem would be broken as all hell though and he isn't really that well suited to fighting anything smaller than a building.  If we had to go with more dead apostles I'd rather see one of the Knights, Trvhm Ortenrosse, or Altrouge though than Merem.  That'd be like throwing ORT out there(who is way out of these people's league, even arcueid would get butchered like cattle against ORT).
Enhance you really fit in well in the game, I guess he could sorta play like ABA in the idea that his attacks hurt himself, or perhaps if he uses a certain special move, then he is no longer able to use it for a while since he does do significant damage to himself with the gun and sword.  Van Fem and Primate Murder would be really interesting to see in it.

Still don't see any means of selecting maids individually.

:\
I have an idea.  Maybe it is just one character, but both have all their moves, and the assist.  Make assist a 421 motion or something.  Who knows it could be possible.   :psyduck:
