Congrats.
How to hold it, well I hold it like so:

Kinda hard to explain. I control the stick mainly with my index finger and thumb. However, I also use my middle finger to help with 214 and 4521. I also use my ring finger to IAD to the right (956) but I'm still trying to get it down well enough to do on the fly T_T
I hope that help a little, heh.
Oh, I was told that it's better to just use two fingers instead of three or four. I suggest just messing with it until you find a postion you are comfortable playing on.

Choco, yeah I'd love to hang out and shit before/after AI/MT4. I'm currently on a hiatus from any arcades because I'm out of a job. However, once I obtain a job, I'll be there every friday.

I play Miyako and I got her combos down pretty well. But I am absolutely dreadful the working of the game (air dashing tricks, bara canceling, reading the opponent, knowing what to do and when),
I'm guessing to just play people. The problem is that I can only play people maybe one or two days a week. Three if I want to fork over some cash to go to the arcade.
Should I just put the training bot on max difficulty and play with her for awhile?

I'm in southern cali. I've been playing MB:AC seriously for about 2 weeks-ish and Guity Gear XX/ for about 2 years now. I play Miyako in MB:AC and Baiken in GGXX/.
I went to West Toast 3 but lost both times I played T_T
