I was all excited because I saw somebody ported Hell TD but it was really, really easy and boring.

I actually haven't played any multiplayer yet, I will at some point, but I'm also ashamed because I have no idea how to play RTS games and so on :3.

Shameless doublepost bump because Starcraft 2 kicked us off the front page.

New test patch up tomorrow.  Kraken and Deadwood reworks.  Chronos finally getting seriously nerfed, Nymphora taking some tweaks, Sand Wraith fixed finally too, Engineer taking some tweaks.  New 3v3 map.

Speaking of which, I was watching a video of C-Akiha vs. C-Sion and notice some odd combo the Akiha pulled off in the corner:
IIRC, it was something like 2AA 5C 4C 2C 6C (recover) 2C 2A (whiff) 2A 2C 5A (whiff) 2A 2C...
Unfortunately, my neighborhood was hit with a large-scale power outage in the middle of the video; I wasn't able to find it again because I found it while clicking randomly. Anyone know what the full combo is supposed to be?

Not sure about the 2AA 6C 4C 5C, I know 2AA 5C is easier, I'll play around.  It's probably better to do 2AA 6C 4C 5C.  Anyways, on the air combos, the reason you do j.BC dj.BC ad.C is because you want the air dash momentum for her airthrow, as it will push you far further if you do that.

H-Akiha should be doing (2AA) 5C 6C 4C 5A 6AA (recover) 4C 5C 2C 5A (whiff) 6AA (recover) 2C BE5B 4C > Air Combo/Ender vs. NOT Nero.
  • On Nero1, you should just stick to your simple, basic (2AA) 5C 6C 4C 5A 6AA (recover) 4C 2C BE5BB > Air Combo/Ender
  • 1: But if you really want to: (2AA) 5C 6C 4C 5A 6AA (recover) 2A2 5C 2C 5A (whiff) 6AA (recover) 2C BE5B 4C > Air Combo/Ender
  • 2: You may opt to use 2B instead of 2A--if you feel like you need to.

Time for some cool sh*t: (Please test on other characters too)

EDIT: Please correct any typos/mistakes if I made any. Apparently, it's better to just BE5B 4C than using the 5BB follow-up--if you can.

Have you done damage testing on that corner combo?  I'm always dubious about double 5C combos, as 5C has a huge amount of proration on it.  Also, the reason I don't have corner whiff combos listed is because they're mad difficult to do sometimes.  They're much easier on say V.Sion that a lot of other characters, so I was dubious to put them up.  The midscreen thing is weird though, no idea why I don't have 2C BE5B 4C at all.  I would think I would do that...

What's the timing like for the first 5C?  I'm having trouble getting it to hit after the command throw, they're just too high.

Forsaken Archer has the worst attack damage in the game, not counting Soulstealer, who has one less max base damage.  Kinda funny.  People say she won't carry anymore but her animation is so good I'm almost sure she will still.

Oh, there's supposed to be a new hero throughout the week.

EDIT: IT'S DWARVEN SNIPER ROFL.  That's okay though I've actually wanted him ported so I could outrange towers.

Oh, Kraken remake is coming.

What do you mean?  His damage has always been pretty low, under 3k off certain hitconfirms without meter, even worse if you're under rebeat when you land the combo.

If you're talking off 3C launcher that wouldn't surprise me either, I'm pretty sure it prorates like a bitch unless they changed it from MBAC/MBAA PS2 proration.

If you read his changes, his damage has been nerfed across the board.  He already did low damage, soooooooooo.

New boots maybe being added, give 100 MS after not attacking, being attacked, using items (other than runes, heals, and wards), and casting spells.  Super good for roaming/ganking.

Well, what'll happen if it's not released to PC is eventually someone will make a loader for the game once the encryption is figured out.

The exact same thing happened to Blazblue, whose hardware (Taito Type X2) is also essentially a PC. Type X2 does have steeper system specs than RingWide, though.

I've heard people saying that has input issues though...

I like Legionnaire, but the niche he excels in (double melee lanes, high physical damage lineups) aren't exactly generally good lineups, so he's fairly bad in most games, and Armadon... I don't know if he's good or not.  se'busca played a really good game with him, in one fairly well known in house, but I dunno...

If you're super interested in the new patch like I am, http://replays.heroesofnewerth.com/match_replay.php?mid=5168873 is a replay that... I have no idea how they did this, but Rampage is played by Nome in the updated version, AND it has Admiral (but he is completely invisible).

His charge warning is gone, his movespeed aura is changed into an active skill, dunno how it works, his bash has some sort of charge thing going on, and his ulti is like... well, whenever Nome used it, he dragged people behind him.  It was weird lol.

Sucks Admiral was invisible.  Oh wait, I mean Gladiator, silly me :3

The upcoming patch is said to be the largest patch yet, has major changes coming for Engineer, Fayde, Rampage, and Gauntlet, a new item, and enough balance changes to make it the largest patch.  I am extremely excited, and it's supposed to go to the test server in about a week.

Rampage is my favorite hero, to put this into perspective.  Nome and Idejder are claiming the remake is competitive, and considering Nome is an old, old DotA player (I was quite surprised to learn that Meepo was a suggestion from him!), I have a feeling he does have a decent idea of what's good and what isn't.

So excited!  Did any of you watch Dreamhack Honcast?  KDe beating txl without H4nn1 was incredible.  They really deserved the win.

Nobody really plays this character and there's no real reason to but here are some combos and shit with her, along with some character specifics.

Normal BNBs:

2A (5B) 2B 3C 623A j.BC sdj.BC airthrow
2A (5B) 5C 3C 623A j.BC dj.BC airthrow

The second one is preferable.  Be careful with 5B in your combos though.  It will add a little damage, but for example, if you do a 5B before 5C, you can only let 5C hit 4 times, not 5.

Corner BNBs:
2A 5C (5) 623B 2B 5C (5) 623A j.BC sdj.BC airthrow
2A 5C (5) 623B 2B okizeme

Okizeme will be explained later.

Corner Meter BNBs:

2A 5C (2) 236C 5C (5) 3C 623A j.BC dj.BC airthrow
2A 5C (2) 236C 5C (5) 623B 2B 5C (5) 623A j.BC sdj.BC airthrow

Middle one is the most difficult but obviously gives the most meter as well.  It is also very difficult on Kouma.

Midscreen throw BNB:

Midscreen throw combos are only possible on (to be completed)

Corner throw BNB:
5A 2B 5A 2B 5C (5) j.BC dj.BD airthrow
5A 2B 5A 2B 623B 2B okizeme

On some characters 5A 2B x3 is possible, but it is difficult and not really worth it.  Adding another 5A 2B at the end of the second combo is possible, but extremely difficult, and probably character specific.  These loops are extremely difficult on Riesbyfe, you might be better off doing 5A 2B 623B 2B on her.

5A 2B x3 is possible on Tohno, Nanaya, Kouma, (to be completed)

Empire Corner throw combo:
5A 2B 623B 676 airthrow 5A 2B 623B 2B okizeme

676 is an IAD in which you jump backwards and airdash forwards.  If you don't do that, you will go behind the other character.

Corner throw loop:

2A 2B 623B 676 airthrow 3C {623B j.8 airthrow} x n

You can probably switch j.8 to j.7 when you get pushed back to make it so the combo lasts longer.  Difficult and not worth it.  Endable with 5A 2B instead of landing with 3C.

Okizeme:
In general, setups end in 623B 2B, so you can jump behind them and crossup.  Also, meaty yoga ice (236A) is very strong.  You could use 214 series as well, but those can accidentally otg sometimes.  Remember that 2B is your only low, but your normals are also far better than C/H-Len's could ever wish to be.

More later when I feel like writing more.  Hype character, even if she's bad.
