So yeah apparently watching Japanese play BBCS2EX is more important that supporting a game that already has a hard time in America, but I could rant for a while, onto the important stuff.

And I used H/F Kouma if that matters to anyone.

Kirah: We talk all the so you know what's up, see you at FRXV.

Chibi: GS, I sensed the hunger in you during Loser's Final's & while I was hyped, my anger blinded me & cost me too much, won't happen again. Also, you gotta send me that pic you showed me at the diner so I can handle business latter. :laffo:

Comic: Thank you for the setup even if it was just one, you did what not one of us there were capable of & I'm grateful to you for that. Also I wanted to play you in casuals as well.

New players: GG's & keep learning about the game, it's worth the satisfaction that this game gives you, sorry you guys couldn't get casuals in.

And as this was my last tournament living up north, I may see some of you at Final Round, if not, stay hungry & motivated.

P.S., the Diner trip was definitely memorable.

Sorry, but the timing for this tournament was terrible. Between GODS5 and Curleh Mustache, and us being up forever streaming it, it was impossible.

best mixup is kamone

jC > airdash jA or land 2a

obv for airdash you need to input 866 or 686 or 86A+B or w/e input you use to airdash forward

As far as pressure, just block! Wait until they push themselves out, then 2b them. If they start iad'ing over your 2b, try to shield 5a or just block.

Don't forget your heat has huge reward (they get knocked fullscreen), so that's good too.

Shit, I was one of the people who started using BE for that reason lol, that's what I get for typing in a rush.

Anyway as far as B cleaning bomb setup, I have no idea what to do besides reversal right now. I've gotten it tight enough that if they jump they are forced to block the bomb explosion, and then punish them with guard break. However, that was only with opponent's jumping backward, not jumping forwards. Also I haven't checked if mashing will win yet. AFAIK, you still can't shield bombs.

I found out after I made that post....

Anyways, I'm pretty sure the bomb mixup off 623B is better than BE5B as far as poke/throw goes, but you can't do any left/right setups afaik.

Also, it's possible to do bomb mixup off A battou > feint > bomb, but that's highly reliant on their getup speed (more than 623B).

Same shit  :nyoro:

Seriously though, a few small changes -

BUFFS
- Damage is about the same as PS2, damage is up from 1.05
-623A otg relaunches, allowing for an airthrow ender
-623B otg relaunches and gives hard knockdown, allowing for some retarded setups
-236A is hard knockdown, meaning you can confirm random 2C's into either 236A > roll > 623A > aerial for damage, meter and airthrow knockdown or 236A > feint > 623A into airthrow.
-Because of the 2 above buffs, the midscreen command grab combo is MUCH EASIER[/i][/u] than the PS2 combo. However, it does less damage. Do as you will.
-Thanks to the new buffer, battou feints are significantly easier, especially after 5A6AA's.

NERFS
-Charged 5B does not hard knockdown anymore.
-Hitbox nerfs to 5A/J.A/2B/2C (though it's nothing too serious)
-Universal 123 punch nerf.
-Cannot do Magnum Upper > EX bomb explosion > full combo.

COMBO CHANGES

Pretty much everything from PS2 works in this version, but you can't end in Charged 5B anymore.

COMBO PRIMER

Quote from: Midscreen BNB
2A > 2B(1) > 5C(1) > 5A6AA > Delay 2C > 236A > feint > 2A > 2C > 5Awhiff 6AA > 623[A] > j[C]B > dj jBC > airthrow or j236C > airthrow

Point blank BNB. Works on almost everyone. Doesn't work on -

Arc/Warc - They've got tits, so the 5A near the end of the combo won't whiff on them. Instead, simply go into 623A after 2C.
Wara/Miyako - Oddly enough, Wara is too skinny for 236A to connect to easily. After the first 2C, simply go into 623A > aerial. If you're confident, the delay 236A timing is the same for the two of them.
Nero - Too wide for the second part of the combo to hit. Use the same Arc/Warc variant.

Quote from: Random midscreen ground hitconfirm 1
2A>2B(1)>5C(1)>5Awhiff 6AA > 2C > 623A > j[C]B > dj jBC > airthrow or j236C airthrow

Nothing special of note. Do this when the first hit of 5A whiffs.

Quote from: Random midscreen ground hitconfirm 2
xx > 2C > 623A > j[C]B > dj jBC > airthrow or j236C airthrow

Quote from: Midscreen Command Grab combo
Magnum Upper > 2A whiff > BE5B > 5C > 236A > roll followup > 623A > j[C]B > dj jBC > airthrow or j236C airthrow

By FAR the easiest, most stable command grab combo, and it works on the entire cast. However, you will sacrifice about 500-600 damage for doing it...

Quote from: Midscreen Command Grab combo 2
Magnum Upper > 5A6A whiff > 6A > 2A whiff > BE5B > 5C > 2C > 623A > j[C]B > dj jBC > airthrow or j236C airthrow

The highest midscreen magnum combo. Works on Akiha, Vakiha, Seifuuku, Ries, Tohno, Nanaya, Kouma, Aoko, Warc, Arc and Ryougi. Oddly enough, because of them changing H-Koha's 5A hitbox, it works on a couple of more characters than before.

Quote from: Midscreen Command Grab combo 3
Magnum Upper > 2A whiff > BE5B > 5C > 2C > 5Awhiff 6AA > 623[A] > j[C]B > dj jBC > airthrow or j236C airthrow

The former standard midscreen Magnum combo. At least, learn to do this on Nero and Warakia, since it isn't too difficult on them. The timing for 2C > 5A6AA can get picky vs Kohaku, Roa, and the Sion's.

Quote from: Corner BNB
2A > 2B(1) > 5C(1) > 5A6AA > delay 236B > B Followup > 5A/2A  > 5C > 236B > B Followup > 5A > 6A > BE5B > 2B(1) > 5C(1) > 236A or 623A aerial
Most stable, highest damage corner combo. More or less works on everyone.

Quote from: Corner command grab combo
Magnum Upper > 2A whiff > BE5B > 5C(1) > 236A > 236B > B followup > 5A/2A > 5C > 236B > B Followup > 5A > 6A > BE5B > 2B(1) > 5C(1) > 236A or 623A aerial

Nero/Warakia - Doesn't work. If it does, it's way too hard  :nyoro:

Quote from: Corner command grab combo 2
Magnum Upper > 2A whiff > BE5B > 5C(1) > 236B > A followup > 5A/2A > 5C > 236B > A followup > 5A/2A > 236B > A followup > 5A > 6A > BE5B > 2B(1) > 5C(1) > 236A or 623A aerial

3 Rep command grab combo, pretty stable. Works on Sion's, Akiha's, Maids, Arc, Warc, probably Kouma... Might be forgetting a couple of characters   :laffo:. Anyways, this combo gains more meter and does a pinch more than the above, but a little more difficult.

Quote from: Nero/Wara Corner command grab combo
Magnum Upper > 2A whiff > BE5B > 5C(1) > 5A > 236B > B followup > 5A/2A > 5C > 236B > B followup > 5A/2A > 236B > B followup > 5A > 6A > BE5B > 2B(1) > 5C(1) > 236A or 623A aerial

Small change in order to get them to the correct height.

Quote from: Arc drive combo
xx > 236A > Arc drive

Yep, simple as that.

Quote from: Random character notes
Vs Len's - 623A does not OTG relaunch EVER
Magnum > 5A6A(Whiff)6A connects - Akiha, VAkiha, Seifuuku, Arc, Warc, Kouma, Aoko, Tohno, Nanaya, Ries, Ryougi
3 Rep Battou Loop (standard varient) connects on - Akiha, Seifuuku, Kouma, Sion, Vshion, Hisui, Kohaku, Mech Hisui, Sacchin, Hime

Feel free to contribute w/e.

More or less, here are the current F-Hime combo routes.

I was mostly right, now that I've been playing I can clear up what she actually does.

Combo route stuff was right, it is indeed based on distance, but I got the combo wrong -

5B > 5C > 6C > 236A > j9[C] > j236A > 22D > j[C] > j236A > 6jC > dj jAC > airthrow/kick/pillar

You can do this midscreen, but the combo is a bit different. In order to understand just how far you can hit this combo from, run the training mode dummy into the corner, then back throw them, and try this combo -

5B > 5C > 6C > 236A >j9[C] > j236A > 22D > j[C] > j236B > 6jC > dj jAC > airthrow/kick/pillar

For midscreen, the 2c > 236b > j[C] combo still applies. You do the shoulder rush ender when you do a j[C] > late airdash jC combo into the corner. You do it with flight, as in 236bb > 22d > jAC > airthrow/pillar/kick.

Be aware that any late airdash combo must be inputted as j[C] > jump > airdash > late jC (but the jump > airdash must be inputted quickly).

OK, so basic combo breakdown -

F-Hime has 2 main combo routes, based on distance - one where you're close enough for 5c > 6c (correct me if it's not 6c btw) to connect, and one where you are too far for that to work. So:

xx > 5c  > 6c > 236a > j[C] > Air pillar > 22d > j[C] > air pillar > airdash > jC > dj jC > kick super/pillar super/airthrow

From farther, you have to use 2c > 236b to combo:

xx > 2c > 236b > j[C] > airdash > delay jC > 2C > 5A > 2C > 22D for okizeme

Of course the above is possible off raw 236b, as well as a far 2b.

Any time you are in max you can end with kick super > land heat > blood heat arc drive. You've got enough time to charge to ~70 percent.

After throw you can combo into arc drive or blood heat arc drive, as well as OTG.

For combo correction, anytime you airdash the wrong way after j[C] (I've seen it happen) you can just pillar super to tack on some damage.

Corner combo is xx > 236a/b > j[C] > airdash late jC > 2c > 5a > 2c > 2a  >2c > shoulder rush > 5a > jBC > dj jBC > 22D airthrow/kick super/pillar super. Alternatively you can just end at 2c and do 22d into oki.

Sp00ky/Namco were the only ones allowed to stream this weekend, so there was no stream for anything else (KOF, BBCS2/EX, MK9 was streamed with a phone, etc)

1. Lord Knight
2. Zar
3. GenericSuperHero
4. Tonberry

Forgot the order of the bottom 8, but Comic was in there, so was Dumba? I think Ehrik too, and Xie (unless I'm mistaken)

There were 36 entrants.

The main problem right now is that we won't know the final date until we actually get the permit, the city is known to give you a different date randomly if someone else has that day reserved

Just something you should know before securing tickets to NYC :psyduck:
