For #3, you can do that in console version. 214A doesn't need to hit. I'm pretty sure that goes for every EX-cancel in the game.

On certain characters you can OTG with 5B, which gives you a slightly higher damage OTG string and an easier time reacting to no-techs after throw.
Characters who get hit OTG by 5B after throw:
Nanaya
Kouma
Arcueid
Red Arcueid
Nero
Kohaku
Maids (w/Kohaku leading)
Roa
Your OTG on these characters should be 5B 2B 2C 5C 5Ax2

For C-Warc:
I just noticed this so it's a pretty late reply but I'd say this is 5.5-4.5 in Warc's favor. Neutral game seems pretty tough for C-Ryougi to me as j.B, blood rings and aerial teleports make it really hard for Ryougi to get close. Getting CH by j.B or rings is obviously not too fun.
Both characters on defense seem pretty similar to each other. Warc and Ryougi both lack free reversals (236C for Warc and I believe it's 421C for Ryougi? both cost meter). Both characters have some pretty mean staggers, although I believe Warc's offense edges C-Ryougi's out due to the threat of Warc's throw and 63214C. She also gets rewarded with more damage in almost all situations, considering Warc doesn't require meter to get her best damage.

IIRC it's possible. Especially since the cab runs on an XP-based system, I imagine it can be updated through discs.

First off as I'm sure anyone would give you this tip, don't worry too much about your current skill level. Practicing hard will reward you, so just keep practicing!
If you're looking to play characters who are most similar to their AC counter-parts, F-Kouma, C-Warc, C-Miyako would be your best bets. C-Koha is also pretty similar but she's a lot better now actually. Probably the most improved character. Even so, don't let that be the end of trying out characters, a lot of the different moves may have something fun to offer that the others don't.

Ticket prices are going to be ranging from 240-300 for me roundtrip, I'd be coming in from WA. I'm unemployed right now and I'd really like to go. I've placed top every tournament here since AA came out, however since EVO 2K10 (my first MB tournament outside of the state, I went to 2k9 for GG and placed in top 16) I got to experience the level of top players in the country. I really love this game and learning new things about it is always a good feeling. I fully believe and it's obvious the only way to get to the top is to scrap with the top, I want to take every chance I get to go to tournaments out of state so I can keep getting stronger at this game, enough to win out of my own state.
I hope to have a job by December but obviously I have no guarantees. I won't be offended if no one chooses to help obviously since nobody really knows me and it's your decision anyways.
If I don't wind up with enough to go and I've received donations I'll happily return the money. Life's been tough on everyone, so even if I don't make it, I hope everyone else who wants to but needs help gets it.
