Still can't figure out how to beat up little ms. god tier (probably why it's called god tier).
Oh well, Aoko's still gonna represent hard.

Glad it got changed to a hotel. Can definitely drink in there.

I'm not really looking for this game to add new characters.  I'd much rather see them give characters like C-V.Sion and H-Wara more reason to be played.  Seriously, fuck a seven frame 2A.  Fuck it so much.  What does H-Wara have that deserves to be counteracted with the slowest 2A in the game.

Seriously, improving unused characters is much more important than adding new ones.  We have plenty of characters.  Three styles for everybody + the sheer amount of characters we have as it is is more than enough, really.  Fix up "useless" characters, then add more.  Melty hardly needs more though.

At least they have 2As that hit low.

Does Kouma still have any sort of super armor on his dash like (if memory serves) he had during MBAC?

No, he doesn't.

-What should I do after j.214C? I can do 2C 22A relaunches perfectly, but should I do 2C into orb for oki?

5[C]4[C] 214A/B for oki midscreen. In the corner go for 623A to stuff air unblockables/wakeup super attempts as you go in.
2C 214A/B is ghetto.

For clarification, that's 2A > 5B > 2B > 2C > 3C > jBC > hjc > dj.BC > 214C > 5[C] > 4[C] > 214/623A

UPDATE: Hot combo with F-Aoko, introducing double relaunching  :fap: :fap: :fap:

421A *hold* 2AA 5B 2B 2C 3C jBC djC j214C 63214B 5A 2C 63214B *pop orb* jBC djABC Airthrow
You can jBC hjc djBC j214C instead of dropping out the djB. Go very early into the dj.BC after high jump or you'll go too high or through them and the 214C will miss.
Easier than it sounds. Instead of just inputting 8 or 9 after jBC input 28 or 29 and you'll be able to connect the extra hit.

Basically, just use the ken flowchart and replace 'jump backwards' with 'orbs', 'sweep' with 'orb oki', 'Jumping HK!' with 'orbs', "Hadouken!" with 'BLUE FIRE', and 'THIS IS BULL****!' with '299 meter end' for good measure.
Enjoy your perfects.

poor C-Kouma and his lack of good ground overhead really kills him =(

I would suggest 2ab5bc2c 236a 236b jcb jcb ender as an alternative for the rekka combo. You do lose a little bit of damage, but including 236c can put you in some bad positions, I'm not sure if this is a PS2 problem since some people think they increased buffer time but if you do it too quickly 236c comes out as 623c from the last rekka, and 236c leads to some wonky hitbox problems (especially if you start it in corner, your air normals go straight through people). You only get about 50-150 extra damage by using the third rekka (depending on ender), and if you can pull it off without issue then go for it, but the lack of reliability in corner and general difficulty for very slight increase in damage makes me stay away from this combo.

Oddly enough, if you do the 3 rekka combo while going INTO (not starting from) the corner, you can land jbc jbc 236b/c on some characters for a pretty good extra chunk of damage.

It is indeed the frame buffer increase causing that.

I'm coming for this one.

I won't play some random character for the first time and make a guy ragequit melty, so wear a diaper.
Magnus "strong strong strong" XL knows to bring extras, so you can ask him.  / :blah:

Also, do they allow alcohol in the venue?

How to usurp Magnus "strong strong strong" XL

1. Realize he only uses the C button
2. pick half moon (knowing how to play the style beyond shielding j.c and maybe 5c is not necessary) and receive multiple perfects in a row  :prinny:
Nobody played half moon? for shame.

There better actually be candy or i'll explode with rage

edit: To make sure I don't have to explode with rage i'm bringing candy myself.
Hope you like smarties.

Not really. Two main reasons are the game can be a bit random and they don't like that mashing A can beat out some stuff very damn near everything.
HIGH PRIORITY CHARACTERS AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA GO

FUC is more balanced than Melty blood by far.

0/10. Obvious troll is obvious.

Go back to troll school.

Thankfully your username pretty much sums up your complete lack of judgement. Go back to youtube markyjoe.

Have you heard of MBAA Ver.A
You know, that patch that is supposed to fix that?

Unless that is ver.A and it wasn't fixed, but I SERIOUSLY, SERIOUSLY doubt that.

And fuc is maybe like a totally, totally broken MBAC with no balance at all and different mechanics.

Oh wait, that means they're pretty different.

I laughed at your post. You've obviously never played FUC or you've never played melty blood to a level beyond mashing out 2c with kohaku.
FUC is more balanced than Melty blood by far. Sion is more poorly balanced alone than anything in FUC. At least in FUC the bullshit ended up on everyone and not just a few characters.

You know what? Let's be realistic. Melty blood is complete ass to look at, and what with the gameplay in actress again being completely shit would YOU keep it around?
SBO's real purpose is to put on a show to be watched, after all. Don't get me wrong, I love playing melty blood- but honestly it's not much better to watch than SF2, and ecole doesn't have capcom's kind of bribe money.

Ciel's Tech Support / Re: PS3 controller help..
« on: March 10, 2008, 08:54:32 PM »
Heyas. First post here.

I used to have the same situation. What I did was use Joy2Key to assign keyboard keys onto the PS3's buttons.
As for the GAME'S DEFAULT KEYS interfering, what I do is plug in the controller after starting MBAC (specifically at the config intro screen). That way, the game doesn't recognize the controller while Windows does, and therefore only Joy2Key's key assignments will affect the controls. The game will think you're playing on a keyboard when in fact you're using keyboard keys assigned on controller buttons.

Hope this helps ya mate.

Woah thanks. This'll help me with playing Rosenkreuzstiletlenjjeljfljeljheheiheidlehfeihnan a with my VSHG. Those darn default keys..

I have the same problem whenever I try to use my VSHG or X360 controllers with the SoB logitechs some of my friends have.
Logitechs seem to take priority over everything. No exceptions.
Come on Logitech, give me a break. Don't make me hit you, and trust me I will. Bitch, I'm the goddamn Batman.

If japanese spirit has taught me anything, it's this:

It doesn't matter what buttons you press or how fast you press them, it's how hard you press them that really counts.

Btw I thank everyone for their thoughts and opinions, because I actually feel that some people who dreamed of going to Japan and play against the best don't have the right dedication from the start or cooperation. Just my thoughts...

Your definition of "dedication" and "cooperation" are way off the map. It takes a lot more dedication on the part of US players than it does for Japanese players who can just go to the arcade.
It's not as though we aren't as good as them, either. We just lack the player base size to put out more good players. You know what? I would smoke you. You'll find out what dedication is really quickly when it's knocking on your face.

You have a lot of time to set up orbs in training mode.

Her lack of damage also doesn't matter since the dummy regens to full anyway.

The dummy also never blocks her overheads, unless you set it to block them, in which case she has one of the combooffable grabs in the game.

Since when does practicing mean training mode, or even AI? Way to completely miss the point.

Ciel alone has 1245 related sprites. Good luck.

Aoko is obviously a better character because she has more than 2000. Flawless Kafuka logic.
