I'm pretty sure my car should be good for the trip. The ride is kind of shit but the only pressing issue it had (worn/damaged tires) has since been addressed.

I guess my other question is when people wanted to head out there. The issue I have is that I work until 3 PM on Saturdays; I have no problem driving to CA after work and then playing there in the evening, staying the night somewhere and leaving Sunday after the tournament but I don't know if anyone else would.

I can assist with driving. Are we thinking hotel, bell's place (after asking), or trying to bum a night off of someone in the community (maybe with booze as the catch, I don't know)? If I get the position I just interviewed for, I'll still have weekends off with work on Monday @ 3 PM. Your plan would work with my schedule.

@everyone - I started a facebook group so we can coordinate better. These forums are fun, but let's face it. Most everyone is on facebook by now, and not everyone checks this thread all the time. I'm going to start hosting 1-2 times per month from now on. There's an event to RSVP for, too. I'd appreciate if you guys could make it out for the round robin

@Ryd - I have work until 3 AM on Friday morning. I'll come home, sleep a bit, and you can pick me up whenever is best for you in the morning or afternoon. Might have to do something about foodstuffs, though. This is going to be a fun car ride, oh my gosh.

I will be ready to go to AM7 on Friday early afternoon. I got my time off approved, but I work 3rd shift now, so I work from 11 pm - 3 am, then I get to come home and sleep / pack, then it's time to get on da roooooad. Who's driving? I'm still scared about my car and if it would make another trip to Cali with 2-3 passengers.

I think I'll be able to make this.  I have to get some shit out of the way first:

Get two rear tires for my car
Change oil
Make sure there isn't something terribly wrong with the rest of the vehicle
Move out of the meltyhaus
Move into another place
Secure time off from work

None of these things are too difficult to do. I'll give more updates about this event and final round as the weeks pass by. hungry for melty, arcana, magical drop, blc, and blaaaaazin'

I'm up for playing Thursday (tomorrow) late afternoon and evening I believe. I will be hosting at the Melty Haus for that. Dunno what other people think, but since Will and Carlos are going to be gone for their grandfather's cremation this weekend, I might skip weekend practice again if Duppy hosts. Next weekend I should be up for playing. I have even more F-Hisui tricks to play with.

I was never a big fan of the armor system... it makes pokeouts kinda bad and antiairs really shitty. Maybe this is a good change! Also, is the input buffer still 12f? I don't think anyone has gotten an answer yet

You can indeed tech them. It might be easy to get the wrong impression since most people in Japan and America know that there's a good chance they'll eat a full combo if they try to tech it. A good player and character combination can set up a tech punish that's 66% success rate every time.
