I'm still planning on stopping by, but I am getting some tooth pain and it's possible, albeit unlikely, that I'll not show if it gets bad.

I guess I should bring my PS3 for BBCP sharing, assuming we're still doing that.  I assume you'll have enough setups, but I can bring a monitor if you need one.

I think I can make it Saturday.  I still want to play +R, and I've been impressed with the little I've played and seen of BBCP so far.  Maybe it's actually a decent game??  Only time will tell, I guess.

I think the plan is to go to Ruben's.  And it'll probably be Blaz oriented, and I do still want to try the game, but I'm definitely down to play other games and I'd guess that other people are as well.  I'm down to play GG or MB or CC and so on, and I'm pretty sure others are willing to play other games as well.

It does get crowded, but we'll see how it goes I guess.  I've been there when it's pretty crowded and, I dunno, it really wasn't that bad.

Also, lol Kokonoe.

In more real news, it turns out that Ruben is starting to host again... on Friday nights. Derp! Especially with the reduced numbers we have now, does it really make sense to have separate sessions on the same day?

Possibly not?  But it's going to be hella crowded at Ruben's this Friday; it's only a one bedroom apartment.

I'm willing to give Aquapazza a try if you want.

But yeah, I'm down to stop by if anyone wants to play games, and I can bring my PS3.  I can't make it until later, like 8 - 8:30 or so, however.  If people would rather set up a time on a different day that works better with everyone's schedules, I'm fine with that too.  My schedule is pretty flexible -- I can do work whenever, just so long as I get stuff done -- so I can meet up tonight and do work another day, or vice versa.  Either is fine.

Just let me know what you all want to do.

EDIT: On second thought, tonight might not be the best night for me either.  My sister is in town, and I'm not sure what her plans are yet.  If her plans are to hang out with family, I may not be able to meet up at all.

EDIT EDIT: Yeah, looks like tonight won't work for me.  Sorry!  I can do tomorrow, though, if that would be better.

I still want to play +R.  And I'm down for MB, CC, and BB as well.

I looked into the file sharing thing a little.  It looks like you can only activate an account on 2 systems max, so... yeah, it might not work with anyone but H-F.

If the game sharing doesn't work out with me it's not that big of a deal.  I played (well, perhaps that's not the right term) CS2 without ever owning the game, and I did ok against a fair number of the local BB players.  But that's probably just because Tsubaki takes no effort.

I think Dippy's right and we're all in the same boat in regards to BBCP knowledge.  I know that some of Tsubaki's old combos still work and that she got a command grab and a projectile, and that's about it.

I'd like to play +R.  Chaos Code was fun last time, so I'd be down for that as well.

I'm also planning on giving BBCP a shot (Dippy, I'd be willing to go in on it with you), so I guess I'm ok with that as well.  Also, looks like Ruben is hosting Saturday, but it looks like it's pretty exclusively for BBCP; while I'm going to try playing that game, I'm not hype enough for it to sit in a crowded apartment playing it exclusively for hours on end.

Melty's kind of been on the back burner for me lately, but I'll play that too.

109
Does this mean people should bring their PS3s?

Not 100% sure on what's going on here.  I'm just curious as to what the plan is.

110
Sounds good then.  I'll stop by.

Out of curiosity, is MB pretty much dead in AZ?

111
I was considering showing up today as well, but I'm not sure I want to distract from the DoA/Aquapazza hype with P4A.  :P

No problem, Carlos, and GGs.  I have to be extremely patient to get in on your Yukiko; pretty much every time I rush things I end up paying for it.

I think you might be giving Chie's oki a little more credit than it deserves, though.  After messing around in training mode a bit, it looks like you can just delay your tech against the 5DD oki; that should make it so that you can DP after I've already committed to the mixup, not before.  As long as you're delaying it enough, I don't think I can prevent you DPing after I've already started inputting an airdash.  I can delay my jump and mixup as well, but so long as you delay yours long enough, I don't think I can help but leave a gap in my offense.  I might be able to block if I go for empty jump 2A, I guess.  I still need to test that.  You can also skip the j.DD meaty entirely if you just late tech.  I'm not entirely sure about 2DD yet.  All the stuff for 5DD should apply, except more easily for you since it has like half the active frames.

5A is definitely stupid, though.  It's only +1, so you can mess with it if you IB depending on whether I dash or not (can't poke out/throw if I do two standing 5As right after each other), but I don't know how reliable that is.  IBing well-staggered 5A pressure seems risky.  I also don't really have any particularly great mixup off of it (AOA, throw, or crossup, mostly).  What seems really dumb about the move is the way it baits DPs.  DP safe 5A that's the fastest normal in the game and is plus on block...yep, definitely dumb.

Meteors is a pretty silly super, I agree.  The downside is that spending 50-100 meter just to get in can significantly limit my damage output.  I feel like it's somewhat balanced out by how good fire break is (or whatever the move is that makes your fire attacks unblockable), but that may partly be because I still don't know how to deal with it.

Where can I find info about the Hazbats tomorrow, like the location, time, etc?

Here's the Hazbats info.

I will be there as well.

114
By the way, H-F, you may not need to get a converter for Hazbats.  I'm sure it'd be convenient, but, despite advertising it as 360 only, they were running PS3 setups as well.  I played all my matches on PS3.

115
I have no set idea of what I'm doing today because my sister decided to show up in town without warning.  I'm probably still going to Hazbats.  I may also be able to show up after if you guys are hosting.  The former is much more likely than the latter, however.

116
Looks like I might end up going to the Hazbats since someone's willing to lend me a pad.  I kind of want to see what the competition is like anyway.

I also can't meet Sunday this week.  Possibly not next week either, not sure yet.

117
Thanks.  Hmm, looks like that's actually a PS2 to 360 converter.  Even better.

Edit: I found this: http://www.xgaming.com/store/x-arcade-adapters/product/x-arcade-xbox-360-adapter/

Looks like the same thing from the pictures.  And costs $10 less.  But then, it costs $10 in shipping for some reason when eTokki can apparently ship from Korea for under $4.  I guess X-Arcade only uses Fed Ex for some reason?  Weird.

Doesn't look like either one would arrive by Saturday anyway, though.

118
I finally made an account here.  I always knew this day would come.

Anyway, Dipstick, what was that PS3 to 360 converter you mentioned?  Sorry for having to ask this yet again; it's like the name of this thing occupies a blind spot in my memory.
