3rd Final Round for me. I only seem to be able to attend the odd number events for this major.

@Ehrik: AFAIK Teams start on Friday around 7PMish and Singles start around 10:00AM according to the schedule.

Yo Brandino team up with me at every major, Chie x Chie is clearly the best team.

I actually plan on maining Akihiko, but I will alt her simply because how awesome she is in.

Team FSteak ftw.

Aside almost getting bodied by Chaos's deer IRL and getting a speeding ticket on my way home I have to say it was great being able to make it out to a EC event again since NEC 2010 and playing the people there.

You guys have no idea how jealous I am that you guys have such strong players in such a concentrated area such as EC.

See you guys in two weeks!

32
Who's going to be at the hotel TONIGHT?

I want games.

33
Question: Is there any etiquette surrounding the level of play expected in an event like this?

Having played MBAA for less than three months, and really fighting games in general for probably less than six total, would it even be worth registering for the tournament? I am interested in attending, but it would be my first proper event and I have no idea about these things. Is having cannon fodder for the first rounds a good thing, or is quality valued enough over quantity that someone like myself should not waste the time needed for the matches? :psyduck:

The best way of getting better is by coming to the events and playing everyone.

If it's possible for you to show, DO IT!

34
I'm expecting 50 of you niggas to sign up the day of.

35
AFAIK Teams are 3v3.

Who are all getting to the venue on Thursday? My plane touches down at 5:48PM so I should be at the venue around 7:00 - 7:45PM

36
You could write an article for our site and I could relay it to SRK / Iplaywinner.

They're completely random with what they want to post up.

Hell SRK has done more Melty articles then Iplaywinner has.

:P

From Shinobi and Brandino:

CHECK YO PMs NIGGA!

Thanks.

I can only bring one if I have a guaranteed room..(and if someone wants to scrounge up a pair of speakers, haha)

(Beggars can't be choosers, but preferably not crowded with the potential to spill a beer or soda all over my PC)

Wrap your pc in a towel (obv don't cover the fan tho) :3

Also who the fuck has rooms?

Grab fraps hack (and vegas for edits) if you dont already have. "Full versions" get rid of the marquee at top if you're picky about that sort of thing.

resolution/ratio looks weird. would ask what settings you're using but I don't know too much about wtf I'm doing when processing vids anyway lol.

resolution is default and the aspect ratio is 16:9. Anything other than that and fraps causes my laptop to slowdown to like 30FPS.

Just to warn people ahead of time this video is going to be poverty as fuck. Like WMM levels of poverty here.

The only reason I really didn't bother to bug people about replays because I thought the auto-replay feature was on when we were playing on the other setups (my laptop was used for the bracket).

Other than that, yeah tournament was pretty fun as far as running and participating MB goes.
