Apparently I have a high chance of showing up today so if anyone is going then you might see me. I'll be bringing my PS2 just in case too.

27
Trains waste time. I could be playing like half an hour earlier with a ride(depending on traffic that is).

28
I would come if I had rides.

29
I'll be there for MBAA.

Any SAkiha changes? I hope they didn't nerf her dash.

I hope all the new H-SAkiha players know that out of her normals, 2A hits mid and that her 5A, 5B, 2B, and 2C are her lows.

Her midscreen oki is super strong off throw or 22A. She can super jump past them and airdash back for a 50/50 overhead mixup. If they try to jump out, the attack will catch them as soon as they leave the ground and you can guard break by landing and hitting them with 2A into 22A for resets. Once they start respecting the airdash mixup on wakeup, you can land and hit low or even airdash back and double jump for an ambiguous mixup.

This isn't really that strong because most people can just wakeup backdash. Off throw you can just delay a 214a to hit meaty and is safe enough(has enough time to block a reversal or dash up 2A 2B/2C to catch backdash) to continue pushing them to the corner or keep them in the corner. After 22A is probably best to just dash and push them closer to the corner a bit then neutral jump right over them to do a standard high/low mixup instead since if they try anything then you can just react to it with the necessary options.(ie. shield/airdash/jump a reversal)

The thing with H's 236A, is that although it's faster in every way, it can be CROUCHED under, making it really bad in pressure strings. :\
You could use 236B instead which isn't as punishable but relatively safe.

I also see no use for 214a and 214b whatsoever. Both are extremely minus on block, can't be used in (practical) combos and although 214b charged is overhead, it's super slow and if it's blocked, it's even more minus.
You could close in some distance with 214A or rather j.214A for a better recovery but 214A works too sometimes. You could block after if its blocked so they are relatively safe except maybe 214B. 214[ B ]  is one of those overheads you throw out once in 50 matches anyways since its so slow.

Wasn't the best damage output for H Nanaya's shield was to 214[A] after it or something?
It's shield into 214[ B ] and thats corner specific since it wallslams.

You could go for 214A combos since they do the most damage but its not by a large margin that you would want to go for it off every hitconfirm. 2C 236A combos are more notable since they are actually a lot easier and if you used most of your attacks in the string then a 2C 236A launch would do more than just 5A 6A. I also think you get more meter off the 236A variant but I actually haven't tested all his variants to be sure.

For his 5A 6AA, I think midscreen if would crossup if you had 2 or less hits before his 5A 6AA will cause him to crossup and if you had 3 hits (excluding jump in attacks) before 5A 6AA then he would stay on the same side. Of course this would only apply if it was on hit. Though in the corner he would stay on one side consistently.

1. Heat Combo: 6C 5C 4C 5A 6AA BE5B 41236 C (Timing is crucial for which version of 41236 C you get) 2600 damage to V-sion

You could do 2A 2A 6C 5C 4C 5A 6AA 4C 5C 2C 623B 41236C instead for about 4k damage. Just delay 623B after 2C depending on character and it should combo into the grab if you cancel 623B on second hit.

2.   6C 5C 4C 5A 6AA BE5B j.A  j.C  j.A j.2A after j.2A while falling do 22C while falling. If IAD you should be able to get additional hits. 3000+ damage to V-sion

What?  ???

Damn even I can beat* Paul's F-VAkiha step your game up guys.

Hmm... a thread has been made...

I want to note that her airdash is just as fast as VAkiha's(making her just as fast in speed difference if you factor in her ground dash), her 22b and 236c are +frames on block, her ground and airthrow gives meter, and her AD can grab the opponent out of the air if they are low and close enough.

She has some silly 236c combos, but I'm not to sure if theyre really worth it.

Her 236c combos only adds like 200 damage if you already use the 5b 2b 5c 5a6aa 22a 2c 5c 6b j.bc j.bc throw variation. Not worth the meter imo.

An hour or so public transport to dj's or a location I don't know.... I vote dj's.  :V

Really though, I would have to make more planning that would annoy me and I only want to play MBAA if we were to change the location.

Hmm.... I didn't think the j.214c ender was worth it in that combo, because it doesn't add much damage and makes the combo cost 200%.

I meant just do normal bnb and add j.214c instead of airthrow to get a knockdown instead of a tech game.

Would you guys say 5abc>3c>214c>5a>5b>2b>5c>214b>j.bc>j.bc>Airthrow is a decent use of meter?

Meter usage for Sion is usually just for a decent amount of damage into untechable knockdown purposes. You would probably use meter for something like 5a 5b 5c(1) 3c 214c 5a 5b 2b 5c(2) 214a or go for air combo j.214c ender instead.

2a2b2c5c j.a~b~~c dj.[c]214a land j.bc sdj.bc airthrow

for this combo what does the [c] mean? I'd guess charge, but you can't charge an a version of a move.  :slowpoke:

That would be charged dj.C. Most of the charged moves in the forums are noted by the [ ] brackets. The only exception to this is B moves because the forum would read it as bold so most charged B moves would be indicated via BE(blowback edge).

Time to save up for this trip.

So I've noticed that her AD is actually useful other than an anti-air(my only use for it before) since it knocks the opponent down right in front of you when it hits.  The untechable knockdown time is long enough for you to do almost whatever you want after(for example, j.214a crossups).  So I see two combos into it that are useful to me right now, they are:

5a 5a 5b 2b 5c 214b j.[c] delay dj.[c]214a AD

5a 5a 5b 2b 5c(1hit) 3c 236a 623a IH(ground) 2b 5c(1hit) 623a AD

You could use these after the AD:
j.214a crossups (depending on height)
walk back whiff 6c (depends how far you walk back)
walk back meaty 6c
meaty BE6b (really good option since if its blocked then you can go into 6c or 2/3c)
whiff BE6b meaty 5/2a or throw

Note worthy, if you did the first combo then you could cross under the opponent before they hit the ground but you can not use most options after. You could go with 623a IH(air) j.b/c which can whiff or hit meaty instead after the first combo too.

If I can get a ride from Western Mass, I'd be down to show up.

I'm if you're at West, you should find a commuter rail and stuff

I don't think there are passenger trains that go from the Springfield area to Boston.

It would be nice to have the western part come over.  You still have about a week to somehow find a ride so good luck with that.

Wouldn't it be MA gathering since Boston is just a city and we would be in Malden?

All you MA players should show up.  I want to see those new faces in MA MB.

48
HBRD and Zero, I'll try to see if anyone in Amhearst can get you a ride. So sit tight!

I doubt anyone would drive about an hour out to get me anyways.  Randolph is like straight south of Boston, so far away from the west side of MA.

49
LBS too good.

50
East MA so far. I would go if I had rides.
