I wouldn't mind considering I just don't have the energy to try all the new fgs that are out right now.

I figured it would.  You should give it a go.  Murder mystery/psychological suspense set in post-WWII Japan.  It's also not 100% moe-bullshit like almost everything else is lately.  I thought it was pretty well done, all things considered.  No real gripes about the time I've put into it except slight annoyance at how missing the tiniest thing will fuck you over hours later, with no indication of what you missed, but I also respect it for that.

We don't have to. I just happen to drop by on either weekend day if I'm lucky enough to get a half day. Meaning I wasn't so lucky today. :| But whatever works best for everyone.

Viola does no damage  :V  Granted, almost all of this is impractical and will never be done in a match except for maybe the long-ass combos.  Both still not going to be done every day.  Fun shit though.

Balls.

lol

I was more talking about almost an entire hour of Chizuru mirrors, with like...two exceptions; that first match, and one other somewhere around halfway through.  Not completely sure though, as I only skimmed the video after seeing lots of Chizuru and Chizuru and Chizuru.  The...2 or so other vids I saw only had terrible Chizurus that couldn't convert anything into damage, but I also haven't seen any other character on the same level in poke->damage as the Chizuru in the linked video.

Oh, yeah. Chizuru is the worst thing to have happened to that game, she's easy, really good.... easy, super S tier, and ugly. And everyone mashes her. Pros can destroy her though so she isn't really getting past the scrub level, so it's all good.

Man, Viola has real damage now. We should play next weekend since we haven't yet. I'm going to be out of town most of the week, so once again I probably won't be available until Sunday. I'm trying to play Alpha Pat, but as swag and fun as his combos are, they hurt my wrists after a while. I might settle for normal Pat and/or Leixia. :|

Current record for damage: 213

I know I can go higher, but shit keeps happening.  Either I fuck up the timing on a rep in the juggle and the opponent floats out or hits the dirt, I fuck up the timing in buffering a BE relaunch and get a normal instead, or the system fucks up and gives me a BE that does not actually exist :psyduck:  Naturally, I am loving the shit out of this character. :nyoro:

I think this is the most training mode I've done since...GG and F/UC.

Edit: I think I hit the max at 245.

6AB B+K BE (6A+B 2B+K BE 5AAB)x3 66B 66A+BB

It looked like it was enough to kill Cervantes from full health.  There's some potential damage flux though; the combo's all quirky with random extra hits everywhere, like timing the first 6A+B to hit right as they hit the dirt from B+K BE, and every 6A+B afterward has the potential to hit twice depending on timing/spacing.  I also carried to the wall at the very end with 66A+BB.  So, overall damage could be a little higher or lower, depending; I wasn't keeping track of every little extra bit of damage.

The one caveat is that the 6A at the start has to be CH for the B follow up to legitly combo.  And it hits high...  Then again, it could just start with 6B+K~3K, no CH necessary, hits mid, and should achieve similar results; but then that requires the orb set, while the other works both ways.  Also there's the full meter requirement, but given that a string with a B+K BE somewhere in the starter does around 130 with 1 meter, 180~190 with 1.5, and apparently death for full, I don't see a problem with cutting it short when needed.  Granted, my overall damage has gone up after fixing my BnB (from 80ish with 50% meter to 90 meterless and 110~120ish with 50% meter...), so retarded-level damage shouldn't even be necessary except for clutching out a win.

I smell a nerf coming, they overbuffed the fuck out of her damage.

C'mon H-F, it's just a little execution :V

I think I'm going to start learning Tira on the side.  And it has nothing to do with the fact that I recently saw her B+K GI/auto-throw.

Riiiiiight. Just like Akira in VF requires a little execution. Because it honestly feels like that's who I'm playing right now. I wish I could just BC Super to victory all day every day. :gonk: But I'm more saddened by the fact I can't have my CAS character with me at all times. :psyduck: I really do think I could get more mileage with the same effort from the two characters I mentioned earlier, but I'll try to use her more when I get the chance. The training mode dummy is just too easy of an opponent.

I know. It sounds like this discussion should be on 8wayrun. :psyduck:

Well in other news, fevo2K is going to have a MBAACC side tourney. Too bad I probably won't be attending because Evo is just too damn early this year.

I'm also trying really hard not to jump onto the P4A hype bandwaggon. It just looks like it has the same issues I had with BB. No surprise since it's from the same producer, so clearly he knows best. Plus, when you have the tutorial telling you to "mash buttons," you can tell who they were targeting. Namely people who've never played FGs before and they need a way to make them feel good about themselves when the combo count goes up with the push of a single button. I'll still try it, but I'm just not losing sleep over it like many others out there.

Posting this as I should be preparing for a wedding. No, it's NOT for me and my waifu(s) or whatever else you might think. :gonk:

P4U could be complete ass and be F/UC 2.0 and I'd still be hype for it.  Actually, that'd probably make me even more hype.  Anyway, that's a game I'm primarily looking forward to out of "character love" 'n shit.  As long as it's not Capcom SF4-style (and we know it isn't), I'll be playing it even if it is mediocre.  Besides, it's not like there are a lot of people making an effort to play the best 2D fighter out there.

Even if I go to Evo, I probably won't be entering a MB tourney.  Haven't touched that since pre-FR, which means I still don't have a character I'm really happy with.

Edit: Dippy, is there any confirmation of that possible tourney tomorrow that you were talking about last week?
