I'll probably be at UAT for a bit.  Someone send me a text when you guys will be up for games and I'll head over, though I won't be staying too late tonight on account of work tomorrow morning and being a little tired today.

So it's right at the end of the month. Melty will be some time after Xrd. Maybe we can actually get at least 10 people.

That reminds me. Around this time, 5 years ago, I sat and played 100+ consecutive MBAA matches. :toot:

Whoo, Melty tournaments like it's 2009 or some shit.

It wasn't just 100 games, it was a FT100 set... that went to 180ish games or something gross. UStream had the whole damn thing recorded, but it looks like they recently deleted it. :(

New Xrd loktest notes are up, my Japanese isn't strong enough.

Highlights so far:

RCing command throws forces PRC
PRC buffed

Zato:
Extra recovery on Eddie moved from being killed to after Drill.  Should effectively kill the unblockable loops while leaving the rest of his gameplay intact.  Mild nerf to unblockables in general, but seeing how they aren't something that happens every 10 seconds anymore, it's not bad.

Drill Special prorates 85, up from previous test's 80

90 Proration on jK, retains buffed hitbox

Break the Law removed moving away from opponent counts toward negative penalty

So Zato's command throws are better than everyone elses because he has Nobiru as an OS.  He should be a little stronger than the first test while fixing my biggest gripe with him (unblockable loops).  At this rate, it's only a matter of time before Break the Law is removed from the game  :laffo:

Elphelt has a ton of new changes; no translations yet.

Ky's 2nd loke test changes blow. 85% proration on all stun edges. Greed Sever having less pushback on block. Split Ciel is now lvl3 as opposed to lvl.4 from last loke test. This is early information and not necessarily a comprehensive list. But from what I can tell it just seems like they're trying to kill off his damage potential while offering little to nothing in return. +R Ky was a low damage character but otherwise fun to use because of all the options/tools he had. If all the loke test 1 changes are removed/reverted and if these new changes stick, he's basically the EXACT same character but with less damage. I believe there's still one more loke test before the new version gets pushed out, but I'm really not a fan of these changes if they stay.

Sol's changes seem fair so far. 90% proration on 5K hurts, but I suppose it's not unwarranted, and Fafnir needed some nerfs. His only buffs are minor, but they should prevent some moves (like dive kick) from whiffing randomly.

Persona Ultimax 2.0 looks fun, and the tier gap looks less substantial. Shadow Chie looks hilarious, though. Liz is also the best she's ever been, and she's still the second worst character. And RIP Teddie.

It'd be nice if they'd throw an ETA on either game's patch getting to console.  Persona in particular since any of the characters I'd consider playing got changes that substantially change combo routes and such; Zato...I'll just have to remember not to abuse BtL.

Anything tomorrow?  Earlier start time would be nice since I work early on Sunday.

Anything likely this weekend (lol, planning ahead?)  Sat works for me, though earlier start time is better since I'm working early again on Sunday.  Sunday afternoon also works.

Sorry about the late response, but I probably won't know until later tonight. Although it looks like stuff is happening at UAT tomorrow anyway... hopefully this will work out. Maybe.

Edit: Yeah, just go out to UAT. I should be able to make it out there at some point

Snagged one of the last Sunday tourney hall passes for Evo :prinny:  Looking at how fast those sold out, might not be a bad idea to pick up passes if you haven't yet.

The main hall passes are already sold out. D: So anyone else is going to have to slum it up in the exhibition hall... or even worse, nowhere (but it's Vegas).

I am seriously concerned about space at Evo this year -- there's already over 1,000 people signed up for USF4 and SSBM (that SSBM number is especially crazy... and horrifying to whoever has to run that).

Yeah.  With SF, Mahvel, two Smash titles, and Persona, it's gonna be cramped.  And might sell out faster than previous years, so buy passes soon.

The grind is FAR from over. :(

I had to re-create my Mega Man emblem on the PS4 because unfortunately they don't transfer between platforms. Which reminds me, since it was mentioned quickly last time, I suggest the next LP be Mega Man 9 on stick.

EDIT: It's that time of the year again where I could potentially be changing work shifts. But considering my overall rank, I'm pretty sure I could get whatever shift I want at this point. I'll find out sometime in the next couple of weeks.

I don't really have anything planned one way or the other, people should be OK to come by. I think. Not sure if Tempered has an issue with it.

Honestly? After thinking about it some more, no. Even though I'm the one that insinuated that, it was a dumb comment to make. However, I do think you switched from playing Linne more to playing Eltnum more because people were complaining about getting rolled by Linne's dumb ass.

Just to clarify something: I'm not upset with the change in any way (it's not like you started playing Chaos or some shit), and people will ultimately play whoever the hell they want you to play. I (or anyone else) can't force anyone to play specific characters or games (and lord knows I've tried the latter).

As for bad awareness, I'm old and senile and awful at videogames, what the hell else do you want? I didn't even realize the waitress brought out

Well I edited my post because it was 6 am in the morning and I felt like I was just getting too worked up over nothing. That and I finally got some sleep and didn't wake up with a headache for once on a Sunday morning, so I was feeling better. And don't worry about me switching to Chaos because if that happened then that would be legitimate grounds for concern if not curiosity about my own mental well-being.

The only other thing that was bothering me, was the fact that Carlos STILL thinks that I have a Reimu/miko fetish. First it was a seifuku fetish, now this? He can't make up his mind. >:( Unfortunately, playing one character from either category doesn't substantiate someone having a fetish. Though I guess wanting to try T7's final boss doesn't help me any. :-X But eh.
