I am officially moved in with Ted in Tucson, so I'll be joining him at the next melty haus occasion, if there is one. We were of course hoping there's one this weekend but if there's not, well, ohwells.

That's what Ted was saying. I guess we'll be there then, unless you all spontaneously combust, which would be REALLY frustrating for me all things considered. :P

Throwing this out there just so people know.  Gas costs to Evo totaled out to $28 on the way there ($7/head), $33 on the way back ($11/head).  Anyone who rode with me to Evo one way (aka Sam) owes $7 for the ride.  Everyone else (aka Choco & Jaxx) owes $18.  I'm not putting a date on when I want this, but I'd like to avoid a repeat of the Ted/cookies incident if possible.

We should be more organized. I'm thinking of hosting a "round robin" event every week we host so that everyone gets to play everyone. Ideas?

I'm more in favor of every other week, sounds nicer, less chance of people missing out on things if they can't make it on a particular weekend, and some nights, you just wanna session.  But that's just me.

Semi-trivial, but I live in Phoenix, not Buckeye.

I have been prompt on everything else when I could! Those cookies were simply me forgetting about me owing them to Dan. Also, we won't be there this weekend due to transportation issue, however, I plan on coming up with the next couple of months so I can play some games.

Also, we're starting a Melty Blood community down here. I also made someone ragequit against me in Blazblue. Good times.

As of now, there are only 4 Melty players here in Tucson, but we're gonna grow. ^_^ Super fun.

We are also learning Fate/Unlimited Codes right now. <<

I'm pretty angry about not making it this weekend but I also have to do lease stuff for my new place so I guess it's okay. Gives me more times to learn some Hatsuki stuff.

What's F/UC? Is that the game where I could just push buttons (and break my fingers in the process) while doing stupidly high damage?

Doesn't look like I can make it this weekend since I'll be vacationing in Mexico for a couple days. If anyone's down for a mid-week session next week, then I can make it to that.

It's the game where you have to be able to TK everything. I play Luvia, and her loop is literally 5B 2B {5C 2C 623A 228C C Bx8}xN...

Needless to say, I can't do it once. D=

Also, eff Sakura. Unblockable setups into infinites should not exist.

Oh, it's not an infinite; Sakura runs out of meter long before you run out of health.  But that's what the balloon super is for.  And unblockable resets mid-combo to negate proration and nulled meter gain at 50+ hits :bleh:  Remember, she's bottom tier!  ;D

Do Luvia's slap option for the throw instead, it makes me smile.

lol I know what F/UC is.

But yeah, if anyone's down for a mid-week session next week, just post up or something. I might be able to view these boards if the resort we're staying at has wireless. If not, I'll just check when I get back. Now that Evo's over I don't have any particular goals in MBAA as of today. Not sure if I wanna fiddle around with other characters or what. We'll see.

Well, I'm convinced that fighting games suck. Why do I play them?  :mystery:

Also, Carlos, I hate you for being right. I think I'm going to pick up F-Akiha.

Btw, how was EVO guys? I wanna hear about all your matches. :)

AZ actually did pretty well for the most part. I'll let the other guys go into detail about their matches and stuff so that I don't spoil it for them.

Evo was great. It was fun hanging out with all the other Melty players and stuff, but I regret that I didn't get to play everyone in casuals. Our room became the central meeting place for casuals and as such, it became a giant clusterfuck which made it really hard to get some peace and quiet during the day when I needed to just relax. I was in pool 4 of the tourney and Garu (the JP player who won the entire tourney) was my first match. That didn't go well so I spent the rest of tourney in losers. If you're bored enough, I can make a list of all the players I had to defeat and how I felt after each match, but if not that's fine. You can check the results thread to see where I ultimately placed since I don't think I should spoil that either.

Oh, and you already know how I loved playing the shit out of AH3. :V I nearly lost all focus on Melty after I started playing it. x_X

Gar. I like Luvia's slap option too, Carlos, but I really highly doubt I'll be looping anyone in that game anytime soon. I will instead take advantage of her ridiculous command grabs and such to play some zoning. get dat zoning. all day.

Also I think I'm picking up H-Len?  :psyduck:

F-Akiha.  She's become somewhat more fun, but I still feel kinda dirty because of some of the shit she has.

Edit:
Ok, to elaborate some...

Bye - This dirty fucker entered like 30 times to increase his chances of winning, but was DQ'd when it was pointed out, so free win on my part.  :V
Chelsey (won) - JP player, not on Garu's level, but he knew how to escape some of my stuff.  Played C-Arc in winners, C-Tohno and F-Arc in losers.  Put up a fight.  Really nice guy, all things considered; said I was a strong player at the end.
MagnusXL (won) - played C-Hisui, I lost one round due to execution failure and silly choices on my part.  Solid win.
Lord Knight (got beaten up) - This was saaaaad, but I've never played against a real H-Kohaku.  Can now fully appreciate why that bitch is S-tier.  Started to kinda figure out how to fight her in casuals after, but it was too late by then, obv.
Chelsey (won again) - See above.
Pfhor (won) - C-Kohaku; put up a fight.
Abstract (won) - C-Sacchin, lost one match due to Sacchin being Sacchin; his execution on links and stuff was sketchy though; hurt him in the long run.
Sp00ky (won pretty solidly) - I don't know if Sp00ky was intimidated by the giant fish on my stick, thrown off by my more aggressive F-Akiha/different playstyle from Fox, captivated by my luxurious mane, or was having a serious off day or what, but he practically got blown up  :-X  I think he took one round, but yeah, it was pretty bad on the whole...
YAT (lost) - Lost to his H-Tohno.  I wasn't as free this time as the first time I played him at one of the AMs though; even got complimented for improving  :)

On the whole, I don't think I did too badly, but was semi-plagued by silly execution errors; some because of the command interpreter, some just stupid shit on my part; maybe slight nerves, I dunno.  Either way, would not have saved me in the match with LK, but if I'd been more on the ball, might have had a better showing vs YAT?  Probably not enough to beat him though.  Seeing as it was my first real MB tourney, I don't think I'm in a position to complain much about how I did.
