Solidplay we got to set some things up...I can't say for sure but I think by the # of people playing this game here I might be the best player in the state (along with svx probably), lol. It's all Tekken, SF, Blazblue, and Marvel here and sometimes people will mess around with other games but no one really wants to take it seriously.

svx, are you around this summer? I'm still here for summer courses/research so make it out to ATL some time!!

I'll be there for good more than likely, my life has to move to the next course up there, but I of course WILL make it for FR even if I'm in Japan by that time. I "may" come down for a week or less to move some things in July but probably not & yeah I couldn't make it due to my ride not wanting to come up there, profound sadness indeed.

Oh wow a Japanese MB player? that sounds awesome! Every Friday (usually) we have fighting game casuals at Georgia Tech. If you are on SRK (shoryuken.com) contact funkyp for details on where the casuals are held. We should get in contact with each other, send me a PM or something. I'm pretty much the only MB player left in Atlanta unfortunately :'( and I haven't been playing much lately...but if you're around it might give me some motivation.

no one shows up for mbaa at the GT casuals, but when dumba was around it was just me and him.

Next autumn...I might still be around, but I'll be graduating around that time hopefully. Well if you and your friend will be around or are around and want to ever hit up the weekly casuals let me know so we can get some melty in.

just to note, the casuals are open to everyone and isn't restricted to only gatech students

For those of you who can get to GaTech or in the area, really try & play with Feez, he has excellent knowledge about Melty Blood in general & helped me understand the game better technically & during actual match, I wanna see if it's only one or two people hold it down.

Hey do any of you guys know if there's any Melty Blood at AWA? I'm thinking of going this year but there's not much incentive if there's no Melty, AH3, or Melee. :v :v :v

But most importantly Melty because I sold my soul to this game.

IDK but there were a few people whom I played with last year & since AH3 is an anime games, I'm confident some folks will show up. Melee, good luck with that one, you should really check the AWA forums or post on the facebook group to see who maybe showing up to play what games.

I pre-registered saying I'll bring a Melty set-up, although I'm still on the look-out for a ride.

I don't know who's going to be honest, I'm not going to say I'll be there but if I'm in GA at the time, you can count me in being there. And on the topic of GA Melty community, I was getting ready to post on here today asking who's been playing or anything of the sort cause I was just looking at the Final Round footage from this year & as I said before, when I do come back, I want some progress more than anything so keep the faith strong & try to have some sort of gathering/get together when you guys can to strengthen the community, I don't want the state & my hard work to not been noticed.

That's a shame. I'm kinda hoping to catch onto one of these meetings and actually learn how to play the game beyond theorycrafting and Training Mode drills. I know about everyone on this thread is probably on a level higher than me, even if it's by knowledge alone, so I'm really hoping you guys will show up at Impact Clash or the like and at least get casuals or a Round Robin going on.

I did say I had a friend that was suppose to be learning this game with me, but he ditched me. He said the game was too hard and just went back to console FPS (). Although I find it strange to quit considering he has two arcade sticks just lying around now (wasted investments if he doesn't keep playing fighters). I think he just doesn't have the mentality for it. I don't think I do either, but I'd like to think some actual stimulus would get me that drive.

Or on the other hand, maybe I shouldn't have used H-Neco Arc Chaos and 22A'd him an entire match.

Yeah doing stuff like that doesn't really help encourage people to playing this game especially in the USA where people are hardly motivated to even consider playing the game. But yeah it's difficult to have the drive when you don't play people or you won't know the next time you'll be able to but when you finally do play & you find players better & more experienced than you or at an equal skill level, you'll want more & more like I did when I first played Solidplay back in January, my first real opponent since learning the game basics at LK's house last year. If I do make it I'll definitely play with you man I know how it is so I won't leave you in the dust but Dogy knows some things & I'm sure he'll be showing up so just ask him & he'll play with you. But with your friend & you, you two just need to go to a tournament like NEC or a Melty exclusive tourney to get motivation. Actually did you go to Final Round this year?
