Old thread, but I am also from NZ. Casual newbie, looking for netplay opponents.

Auckland? Lucky sod, I hear you guys have a couple of MBAC cabinets at... is it Wifan's? Wifu's? Something like that anyway. Something not TZ so I can't convince them to ship one down here.

There was a cabinet I played single-player arcade on in Midcity but I don't really know much about the MB community or if it even exists there. How popular is MB in Christchurch? You said you don't have machines down there so I'm guessing you guys play on PC?

I know of exactly two other people in Chch who play MB at all, and neither are good (meaning neither am I, due to lack of competition). There are maybe a half-dozen others who are aware of its existence in a vague manner.

So basically I'm only able to do netplay, and at the 8 or 9 delay between here and the states, it's not awesome.

We should play a internet game some time. Where do you think is a good place for New Zealand MB players to meet? Like an IRC channel or something?

Well I do sometimes hang out in #meltanjp on irchighway (), but not that often these days. Might be easier to organise a time here, maybe.
